Some mild backpedaling from thermonuclear claims: https://hashtalk.org/topic/23005GAW_CEO Admin Moderator Industry Innovator
PayCoin's Origin
And like every other coin, it will grow over time. As you know, we've released the core of Paycoin. The blockchain that will record all transactions from now until... forever. It's the foundation upon which the rest of the coin will be built.
You've all seen the white paper. You know what's coming. What's in the white paper that isn't already built into the coin is currently in the final stages of development or testing. It will be added to the coin in the coming weeks by the team of industry-leading coin developers we've contracted to work with our own development team.
In the meantime, all of you hardware miners at home can start catching up to everyone who's been enjoying HashPoint Pool by mining Paycoin.
Try to mine as much Paycoin while you can - then I'll see you next Friday when staking begins : )
Stake Hash on!

Then the life of XPY will be prolonged for maybe half a year to a year before each coin is worth 1 satoshi.

so,,, since i don't hang on HT anymore, wtf are these stakers doing atm, nothing? Can people even *get* any XPY coins yet other than by this mining outside of gaw? i so confused... Well the first PoW block gave GAWminers 11,000,000 coins (one block, 11M coins). The entire week of PoW mining will give the rest of the miners 504,000 coins (10080 blocks, 49 coins per block). What pre-mine? If it went over your head, the "miners" get chicken feed , there's no value in anybody pointing 2PH/s at this worthless network. Ironically they spent all this money building up their miners and even accosted bitmain to prove, then to skip all the electricity bills mining the coin, boom pre mine it up for the lols So let me see if I understand this correctly. The "very, very reputable company" that GAW hired to develop this super advanced coin took a Peercoin fork, did a search/replace, didn't even proofread it let alone any kind of serious review (how do they know there is no backdoor or something?), and this is the payment network to rival PayPal. I think GAW should sue that "company", because they seem to have been scammed It wouldn't surprise me if they got sleak some 16 year old cloner to do it, has the hallmarks. i'm thinking what if the buy wall exists and it stands the initial strike?
Then the life of XPY will be prolonged for maybe half a year to a year before each coin is worth 1 joshi. EFA Actually 1 Homero sounds better

I think GAW should sue that "company", because they seem to have been scammed It's hard to diff because it's blown out by all of the s/peercoin/paycoin/ spam. https://i.imgur.com/sO8IARG.pngThere's things added like a bool for isPrimeNode, but it doesn't actually seem to do anything meaningful. Looks for all the world like they started adding a feature and then got bored. // paycoin: miner's coin stake is rewarded based on coin age spent (coin-days) int64 GetProofOfStakeReward(int64 nCoinAge, bool isPrimeNode) { static int64 nRewardCoinYear = 5 * CENT; // creation amount per coin-year int64 nSubsidy = nCoinAge * 33 / (365 * 33 + 8) * nRewardCoinYear; if (fDebug && GetBoolArg("-printcreation")) printf("GetProofOfStakeReward(): create=%s nCoinAge=%"PRI64d"\n", FormatMoney(nSubsidy).c_str(), nCoinAge); return nSubsidy; } Rest I can find are just noise like changing how much the proof of stake payout is, the distance between block timings and things like that. I'll keep digging though.

I believe at this point, anybody who chose to flip his miner into a staking wallet has to be facepalming pretty hard.
This is awful.
its okay the weak minded ht lemmings will pay 40$ a shit staker so,,, since i don't hang on HT anymore, wtf are these stakers doing atm, nothing? Can people even *get* any XPY coins yet other than by this mining outside of gaw? i so confused... Stakers will start doing something next Friday. Hashpoints will be converted to XPY also next Friday. XPY will be available for purchase on gawminers.com on Monday. So at the moment this mining is the only way to get XPY right NOW, if someone can't wait ah ok, thanks for clearing that up. I'm still laughing my ass off at this near certain shit-coin being born right now, i just can't help it, investors or not... Edit - thank you 93739

Ok, found an actual change. // cool feature case OP_PRIMENODE : return "OP_PRIMENODE"; // cool feature OP_PRIMENODE = 0xc1, It's function isn't defined though. So it just makes any transaction you use it in invalid. A clearly stunning feature.

Now that the timeline schedule was released things will get interesting and lets see how quick people dump this coin cuz they are fedup with GAW. ALthough it will be interesting since there are a lot of fanboys who are blindly following GAW still (not sure why).

AFAIK they filed for registration and there is prior use, which might get it denied. I think it's not a fact yet that they have successfully registered it.

Hi All, To follow up on my little daily summary I posted late last night, I do need to clarify something regarding the GAW Miners LLC formation. Some reminded me that various LLC’s can have CEO’s and Presidents. Although this may be true, it does vary by state (and country). I agree, in some case the members can vote and assign a C-level title to a primary individual acting as the "managing" member but I was talking about Delaware's definitions and what appears to be a single member LLC filing for GAW Miners LLC. In Nevada, where I have one of my two corporations being a LLC, the C-level titles are not accepted on the required yearly list of members regardless of what the organizational operating agreement states. They limit it to Managing Director (same title used in the UK for a CEO), Managing Member (same title used in the UK for a President), and traditional Member (same title used everywhere for a Partner) for each individual. Yes, I am being nick-picky with the corporate comments I made against GAW, but it is just some additional food for thought since the HashTitan appears to like throwing the CEO title around like he is someone actually important when the bottom line is:
A. GAW Miners LLC does even show a list of members to establish a quorum to enact an operational structure to vote on and assign people to.
B. No updated member lists have been filed/updated whenever a new individual his hired and/or given the title of anything - all of which are required by the Secretary of the State.
So, it is what it is. Again, I am being more nick-picky than I probably should, but all these little cracks in the dam are simply meant to show the larger danger and pending break. Take it for what it is worth.
Scott-

love it "Can someone explain to me what is the advantage to put the wallet on your PC and not have your coins in the Cloud? ? That really depends on the wallet. For example, bitgo's wallet uses multi-sig and even if they are hacked, hackers will only get 1 of the 3 keys, and 2 are needed to send any coin. Also, keep in mind, GAW hires people that are professionals wrt security and crypto currency. I would also expect PayBase is going to be insured. If your local PC is hacked or compromised coins could be stolen from local wallets and web wallets alike."

Whoever mentioned earlier about Gaw Miners stealing there coin name should know Gaw have a registered trade mark on the coin name now, dont know if its world wide or just USA
From my post last night =============== I called and had a nice chat with a US Patent and Trademark Office agent who was very open about the status of Mr. Garza’s claimed PayCoin and the following was disclosed: A. Mr. Garza nor any of his business entities have been issued a trademark (tm) for the “PayCoin” name, term, likeness, and/or its commercial use protection. B. The application to trademark the word was received last month by a third-party web service (like legal-zoom) who mills out these type of applications every day and was likely hired by GAW to submit the initial application. C. The “serial number” associated with the listing (86444905) is simply an application submission reference number and nothing more. D. The application has not yet even been assigned to an internal USPTO agent/attorney to vet the paperwork and determine if the PayCoin word is available to be tm’d. This process typically takes 3-4 months at a minimum and as long as 12-18 months. E. It was determined GAW and/or this service they hired falsified the application where the applicant had to certify the date of the word’s and/or term’s first use within the public domain. (a note regarding this observation was added by the agent to the application file) F. At this time, 12/12/2014, PayCoin is still within the open public domain with the first right of refusal going to its original (PYC) developers and/or the community who financially staked it. G. GAW/Zen have no exclusive right or protection to restrict the use of PayCoin or to control others who wish to use it. In fact, any relevant parties can issue a legal C&D communication to GAW and demand they stop harming/interfering with the activity of the existing owners. H. It is likely a letter of suspension stating the application is denied or “miss-assigned” will be forwarded to GAW once the USPTO agent/attorney investigates the circumstances of the misinformation submitted on the application along with the marketing activities taking place as I write this.
