Has anyone tried just repeatedly ignoring the assertion error?

I did that and am now staking, just ignoring the error when it pops up.

I'm also on an unofficial release right now, but i want to know if that works for 4.0.2

This doesn't work too well, if you press ignore over and over it ends up just crashing a little bit later with runtime error.

It finally managed to stop for me but I have a ton of transactions that are not sent and the resendunsenttransactions rpc command doesn't seem to work fully in this version. It will give a note that it has run and finished but that is it.

Wallet Version 4.0.2.1 Available

Temporary fix for assertions errors.

Instructions:

1) Sync wallet with empty wallet.dat

2)Copy your old wallet.dat over

3)Ignore all assertion errors until blockchain is up to date.

4)You may have to close and reopen wallet after block chain is synced if assertion errors do not go away.

Give it a bit, i've only been able to get 1 or 2 connections at a time. Looks like we've lost a lot of clients lately but its just a matter of time til we get them back with a better functioning wallet.

Correct.  I'm starting to feel like a pigeon.  Bette Midler, where is the wind beneath my wings?

Try using the new node list + the node list in the OP.

Interesting.  I've added quite a few nodes these past days.  Got nothing.  The Debug log file didn't appear to even be trying to hit all the nodes I requested.

Then I saw a bright white light and I flapped towards it.

It was a working 4.0.2 node feeding me delicious blockchains.  After I devour this feast I shall test Mac staking on 4.0.2.1

FLAP FORWARD!

[EDIT] tyz, I sent you a message regarding a test I'd like you to try and complete  Thanks.  Smiley

I downloaded the new 4.0.2.1, and added the suggested nodes (I'm previous long time miner of good old Flappy), but I all can only Sync to within 3 hours behind. It seems to be stuck at 742542 blocks. Trying to start solo-mining again.

It's still using rpcport 11555 correct?

Still can't sync the wallet stuck at 3 hours behind. What gives? Is this coin operative?

So I decide to delete all the block data and re-download it all, and now I am stuck at 10 days behind instead of 3 hours. I suspect there are bad nodes out there maybe without of date wallets that are also stuck. This needs to get cleared or this coin is finished.

And then another node showed up and resumed the download and I'm now stuck at two hours short.
I highly suspect that forking is going on, probably unintended forking. I am seeing block heights from a mining pool that are lower than the current number of blocks. Was this coin forked with the new wallet, what the HEDOUBLEHOCKEYSTICKS is going on here?

What a mess.

Flap nap at block 742617

Are you on the most up to date wallet, ver. 4.0.2.1?  Looks like some on the network still need to upgrade...

Yes I am. v4.0.2.1-Flappy-Final.

It appears that last block mined was 9 hours ago and yes it is 742617.
Here's the problem, there is a pool out there that is pool mining and they show block heights of 734735 which is a block found 20 minutes ago. That's 8000 lower than the wallet is showing. I suspect no one can mine Flappy right now and that is why it is frozen and they are pool mining a fork.

I have tried solo mining to get the chain moving again with no luck, beginning to wonder if they changed the port numbers. (p.s. I do know how to solo mine - I have many coins setup for that).

This is a real mess here.

Are Mac 7.0.2.1 clients showing up as 7.0.2 clients on CryptoID?  Can any Mac users confirm?
