I am a luxury artist who caters to upscale clientele and i create one of a kind luxurious art pieces from some of the rarest and most exotic woods on the planet. I recently found myself in love with Bitcoin and thought to myself one day that buying exotic woods from around the world without all the headache of brokers and wire transfers was exactly the kind of thing Bitcoin was meant for so i started a thread which shockingly got an amazing response from the community and have been able to acquire quite a lot of wood from this forum.

In the search for wood one of our beloved forum members inquired about my art and commissioned the creation of a beautiful Bitcoin artwork and it has just snowballed from there. Below you will find basic information and a Q&A to help you along the way if you wish to commission your own Bitcoin art piece.

Q: What kind of wood can i have something made from?

A: If it exists on this planet i have access to it. It does not matter if it is protected, endangered or practically non existent. I have access to foresters, brokers, and a swarm of people who can obtain anything i need legally for me with forestry permits and import documents.

Q: What kinds of things can you make?

A: If you can dream it, i can make it. So far the popular trend seems to be "BTC" symbols with art carvings, but i have made Water Pipes, a lamp, a dildo, and a square art carving. The question is not "can you make _____________" it is how long will it take to get ______________ done.

Q: How much does it cost?

A: As i do not use my brand on my Bitcoin pieces i charge much less for them. The average piece starts at $500 and so far has went up to $88,000 for a Bitcoin art piece. You just tell me what you want, and what your budget is and we will find a way to put a gorgeous Bitcoin art piece on display in your home or office.

Q: How long will it take to get my piece?

A: Pieces are first come first serve and it depends on how many people have commissioned an art piece in front of you. If you have something in mind contact me with your ideas or concept, let me know what kind of wood you want it made from and i will let you know when i can have it delivered to you.

Q: If i commission an art piece does that mean everyone is going to know?

A: No, some of my clients from this forum wished to keep quite on their artwork, Others were happy to share it for all to see. If you wish to keep things quiet about the work you want to commission to have done, just let me know and it is not a problem.

I have received a lot of inquires about doing Bitcoin art water pipes over the past 3 days. In order to cut back on time and cost i would like to do them all at once so i can turn out all the blanks on the lathe in one day so i do not have to keep going back and fourth. Doing it this way can knock about $100 off the cost of each Water Pipe so if you would like to order a Bitcoin art Water Pipe please contact me by Friday November 28th.

Thanks

Just got shipping confirmation on a BEAUTIFUL Purpleheart specimen from Guyana. Its just screaming to be turned into BTC art pieces i can hear it talking to me all the way from Guyana. These pieces will be a beautiful Purple color with tight grain. I should have enough wood to make 2 separate pieces or a matching set.

Message me with your design ideas and i can make you your very own Luxury BTC art carving for between $650 and $900 depending on how much detail you want. The wood should be here by the weekend and i should be able to have you your piece by the second week of December. Just in time for that beautiful Christmas gift for the purest of Bitcoin enthusiasts.

The Purpleheart will be in by Friday. Still plenty of time to get something special for that special someone for the holiday season. Does not have to be bitcoin related if you don't want it to be. I can make anything you can dream up.

Not to be too morbid but would you make an entire coffin if someone requested a design ?   I have heard of extremely elaborate designs in one particular African country as its part of their culture so I just wondered how big do your pieces go.

A quick google, the country is Ghana

Any eye candies for us yet mate ? cant wait to see more of those awesome carvings  Wink

Working on a few Bitcoin themed water pipess at the moment should have the first one posted by next Friday. Can only do the smaller ones that are ordered right now as i need a bigger lathe to do the large water pipes people are asking for. Need to sell a few more art pieces before i can order the new lathe, my wife grounded me from buying new toys as i bought $80,000 in tools this year already.. She said " If you sell enough pieces to those Bitcoin people to pay for it then fine, but otherwise you can wait until next year "

Also working on an 8" physical Bitcoin this week as well. It's a huge amount of carving though so it might take a while to get that one done but it will be beautiful.

Not to be too morbid but would you make an entire coffin if someone requested a design ?   I have heard of extremely elaborate designs in one particular African country as its part of their culture so I just wondered how big do your pieces go.

Yes, i would and have before. I made one last year that took 9 months to finish and was made of Gabon Ebony, African Blackwood, Padauk, and Red Indian Mahogany. I also make very detailed Urns, some out of "spirit woods" or wood that is believed in some cultures to have mystic powers. Urns are some of the things i am commissioned to make the most by clients.

A sneak peak at a work in progress for those of you whom keep messaging me about the "process".

A Bitcoin Waer pipe made from Brown Mallee Burl, African Padauk, and Purpleheart (yet to be added on at this point). Once it is turned it will be getting the art carved into it.

Dont forget to donate to the new lathe fund @ 1LatheNNRsWhSZBcFvXpkZd1P3Wz4yA3Vz so i can start making the larger size Water Pipes for those of you whom are inquiring about having one made. Otherwise i have to wait until the first of the year per my Wife's orders to purchase it.

No not yet, outside the bitcoin community part of what makes my art sought after is that i have no phone number, i have no website, i have no e-mail. If a person wants to commission me to create an artwork, they have to know someone who knows me which only happens if they know someone who has one of my art pieces. It has been that way for a decade now. My art has has never been commercial or about business.

For the Bitcoin community i am working with a few different people on getting something put together for people to browse, not really an online store, more just a gallery of past Bitcoin related pieces where people can get ideas for what they want created. 95% of my works are commissioned directly by the client even in the Bitcoin community. It is not very often that i am able to just make something i want to make and list it for sale so i really do not have any inventory to speak of. If there is something specific you were looking for or had in mind, just message me with what it is you would like and i am certain we can make it happen.

You are dealing with a master artisan here...

I commissioned Transcendence from WoodCollector and the experience could not have been more compelling and rewarding.  What a great guy...we are fortunate to have him share his talents with the Bitcoin Ecosystem.

The artist has exceptional communication skills and readily listens to your ideas and vision.  He then has the ability to build on this foundation and take the piece to exceptional heights.  If you take a look at a few of his past works, the mastery of craft is obvious...but it's the ability to translate and convey the vision that was unexpected.

I reiterate my previous comments: Sincerest thanks to WoodCollector for considering my crazy ideas, for being willing to take on this commissioning and for putting so much passion and energy into this unique BTC art piece.  This work will display proudly and prominently as a statement of Bitcoin's infinite movement and evolution, and will indeed stand as a symbol of transition from centralized exploitation to individual empowerment.

For anyone potentially interested in having an art piece created...I highly recommend WoodCollector without hesitation.  His talent speaks for itself, and I can assure you that you are dealing with someone at the top of their craft...I feel honored to have had the chance to work with him.

Here are a few images...if you'd like to see more detail, you can view the slideshow.

Thanks guys, i appreciate the compliments. I should have one or two more pieces going up for sale out of my own personal collection before Christmas if you are looking to acquire a piece, but i also have a half dozen commissions that i am working on through mid January that if the client is willing to share i will post on the forums.

Thanks to ducatitalia i now have the ability to turn 24" round pieces on the lathe so i can make the larger water pipes, vases, and other large round things some of you have been asking for. I just got delivery confirmation for the lathe as arriving January 6th so if you want to get something commissioned on the large lathe message me soon as there will be a backlog of people waiting for their piece to get done on the new $8500 mega machine.

Waiting to see these "larger water pipes" you speak of.  Wink

This gravity "water pipe" is coming off the lathe tonight and probably going to find a home with a previous client who has shown interest in it. Only 4.25" round at its widest point but 16" tall and has a custom blown glass bowl on its way from a glass blower in the UK to match it. The lower portion is turned from a gorgeous piece of GG Quilted Sapele with a slight curl in the grain and the upper portion is made out of Purpleheart

I'll have something a little larger getting shipped out to you probably a week after the new lathe arrives. My scrap pile has grown quite over filled with small leftover blocks of wood so i was thinking about making a large segmented gravity water pipe just to use them up and test out the new lathe without risking a $1000 piece of wood. It will be colorful thats for sure, the picasso of water pipes.

Thanks, its 19 coats of 5 different materials to protect against everything from UV to air born corrosives. When I finish a piece it is guaranteed to last at least 10,000 years even submerged in water. The only way one of my pieces can be ruined is fire for extended periods.

Just an update. There is only 1 coin left to be made for the 2015 wooden coin collection. #1-#4 are completed and already shipped out. #5-#8 are being made now. #10 is a surprise coin which i have designed myself to finish the collection. which means the only one left available is #9. If someone does not contact me within the next week for a custom design for it, i will be doing the design myself and placing it for sale in the goods threads.

All commissions are first come first serve so the first person to contact me for coin #9 gets it.

Ridiculously placed scam accusation such as these should not be made by someone on the default trust list... Or it other words, maybe someone that makes such accusations should be removed from default trust.

I don't think he will produce a video of himself hand-carving a piece. If he does produce a video, I believe it will be a video of him fussing with his tools in order to give the appearance of hand-carving without actually doing so.

Unfortunately, WC has declined to produce a video for anyone but his clients, so I guess you have to pay a thousand dollars to find out for certain how they're made.

Guys, look i appreciate it, i really do, its really nice for you to stand up for me against this guy. But he is missing a little bit of information that people don't know unless they have commissioned a piece from me, and i am sure my clients will be jumping in to settle this down once they get online today. Any of my clients from here can tell you that i send them pictures along the way starting from the original sketch of the design concept (if they want to see it being done, a few wanted it to be a surprise), to carving, to applying the tung oil and linseed oil, to applying the finish coats of UV sealer and Spar right down to the finished product before it is posted on the forum, they know my art is authentic, as they paid for it.

Its really nice to see you all standing to my defense, but some people will still continue to whip a dead mule long after it dies. Nubbins was not aware that my clients get this information as their piece is being created, as none of you really were unless you commissioned something, and soon once they get online this will come to rest and he will have to find some other argument to make, hopefully with someone else.

I have paid and witnessed myself how he created my piece "Resolute":
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=927942

Along the way, I have witnessed all sketches and progress done. This is something I personally asked. If you order a piece, you can also choose the "surprise" route, in which he just crafts a beautifull piece and sends it to you without making progression pictures along the way. This guy is 100% legit. If he was not, I would not throw a 1000 EU against it.

I commissioned 3 pieces and witnessed on all 3 of them the process of being made!!!
All 3 were drawn before and on all 3 were made changes by my request.
WoodCollector is such a nice person and takes a lot of time for his clients.
AND EVEN, if this pieces were carved by a laser... I would still love them and they would still be unique.

Man, this guy is 100% legit.
He is probaly the most fair guy in this forum. He did a mistake on his first coin auction and gave me an another person a hell of a deal. He did not need to, but he wanted to make it up. Why?? Because he is a nice person. He did not even earn a cent of this. Actually he had to pay on top for this.
It makes me so sad, that guys like him have to deal with such bullshit.

Amazing. I happen to be a woodworker of 40+ years myself (yes, I really am that old) and I contacted WoodCollecter just a couple days ago to see if he was interested in buying some Ironwood, although I never looked at his work. Now i see this and my mind is completely boggled. I did not read every post here, but I can affirm the opinion of a few I saw that have said that the intricate carving in question is done with a laser. I am 100% sure about it. NO doubt, case closed. What amazes me is not that he is using a laser etcher, but that he is denying it, especially at this point. I do have to say that the overall level of craftsmanship in the pieces I have seen pictures here is not impressive (wonky ass BTC cutouts, etc.), but the laser work is super cool. Should have been honest with your customers.

You can clearly see the line by line marks left on this piece that are definitely, without a doubt, with 100% certainty left by a laser engraver exactly the same as a printer does:

WHY? Why is it necessary to lie to people?
That is actually only a rhetorical question, because the prices WC is getting for "hand carved" pieces is why- duh. The stuff WC is making is cool, but what ever happened to being honest? Guess we can add WoodCollecter's name to the long list of BTC scammers. What a shame. Greed. It is a sickness. Instead of making great money making neato laser engraved items he has to play people for fucking fools and say that he is carving that shit by hand so he can charge Uber Craftsman prices. Disgusted.

Although I am actually lelling out loud here, maybe you're one of my socks Cool

Anyway, I uh, look:

Two-tone images (solid black and white, vector) are precisely and exclusively the sort of file that lasers would use to etch wood. If nothing else, the fact that he'd use a stock b&w vector image without even bothering to take 15 minutes to modify it a bit, rather than taking, say, an actual photograph of a roaring lion in a pose he likes, and creating an original drawing from that, speaks to his intentions. Quick bucks.

Everyone here who had the audacity to say unkind things to me in any thread relating to this matter should be ashamed of themselves.

Hey Dipshit, before you really make yourself look like a fool, maybe you want to talk to Deliveryman, That lion is the one HE SENT ME, that he wanted on his coin AFTER i sent him my design, I'M SURE HE IS HAPPY TO VERIFY THAT. His direct quote " i like things to be symmetrical, i am kind of OCD like that". The fact that you could find that image based on my carving is flattering though, I'm better than i gave myself credit for i guess. Kids these days, i swear.

The last one you found was at the request of the buyer... Maybe this is the same case because most of the pieces are commissioned ones... And do you really think art thievery is the lowest one can get? I mean, seriously?

Oh, okay, so he stole artwork and reproduced it without permission at the request of the buyer. So much better.  Roll Eyes

Yes, for someone who claims to be an artist, I really do think art thievery is the lowest you can get. Just like how dropping food on the floor and serving it anyway is the lowest a chef can get.

I deleted that comment, I'm sorry... I just got a little angry.

Apology accepted.

I'd like to invite you to re-read my original scam accusation, and open yourself to the possibility that there's truth in what I'm saying. Try to remove your emotions from the situation and look at the evidence. Is it fair to call my accusation "nonsense"?

I can see the truth in your accusation and how it isn't just nonsense... But it's the fact that I don't want to believe it that puts me off.

Just to be clear, I communicated with deliveryman and he told me he was not aware at any time that the images on his coin were anything but original works of art made by WoodCollector, and was quite disappointed to find out that they weren't. Contrary to what WoodCollector is claiming, WoodCollector was the one who first came to deliveryman with the vector image lion design(exact image nothing changed) and presented it as a "sketch", not the other way around.

Note the film reel and the yin-yang near the middle.

In WoodCollector's defence, he did rotate the source image 90 degrees then mirror it before illegally reproducing it and passing it off as his own work.

Was this one of the ones you designed yourself, or was this one of the ones you purchased the clipart for?

WoodCollector, a simple yes or no question: Are any of your other works using stock clip art?

Protip: not answering this question is the same as saying "YES".

hahaha definitely done by a laser/cnc machine as the details are to fine to be done with knives/chisels and ensuring the depth stays the same

i showed these pictures to a 76 year old master wood craftsman who has done stuff like this since he was 15years old and his immediate answer was that these were NOT done by hand at all

Holy you sure have a hard on for this.

Even if he is doing exactly what you are saying it is no where close to the low on the scum bag chart....

Someone running a fractional exchange is the #1 scum bag or someone running poker sites that are rigged so you get a full house and thier bot gets 4 of a kind.

This was one of the ignorance is bliss things, if these acusations never came to light the customers would of continued to be happy.  Now in a fractional exchange or a ponzi scheme the customers lose money they were not spending on fancy things.

Futhermore all of the calculations you are using for the "legit" price of these pecies are so off.. not including a heavy mark up for the cost of the laser machine... ?!?!?!   Not a soul on the planet will work or sell something even remotely close to cost.

TBH I don't care if he is scamming people like you say it just bothers me you are on about how this is the worst thing someone could ever do to another person.. it's not even close.

I'll stop ranting now lol.

Does it bother you that scientists do research on things you don't care about, too? Or that the cops are still out catching speeders when there are unsolved murders?

Also, given that I have to wait 15-30 seconds in between prints for ink to dry, I'm able to stay productive while keeping up on these threads. I've invested probably two or three hours total into this so far. Don't really have the time to bust scams bigger than this type of thing.

Would like to remind everyone, though, that $20k+ since November is pretty crazy, and shouldn't be downplayed. We need this forum to have a healthy marketplace where scammers can't thrive.

It may not be the greatest deception or scam that happened on this forum but he's still conning people out of money if he's presenting something that it isn't. It's no different to selling a fake item but passing it off as genuine in my opinion. It's a shame if he has been lying because these were some very nice pieces but obviously he wouldnt have been able to sell them for anywhere near what he has been if they were laserd but he still couldve made a nice profit whilst running an honest business here.
