Is it uses 1 core?
Hashrate i3 = i5

There is something is not clear.
Mining uses ~25% of CPU, no set cores, no console, no gpu.

As I recall dev said he would limit to 1 core to ensure fair distribution. With my 8 core FX8350 I have approx. the same hash rate and core load like you, so it seems right.

I need to adjust the difficulty algorithm as it's allowing too difficult work into the chain.

Regarding the hash rate, yes everyone should see a hash rate roughly the same.

I'll attempt one more go today but I think it's right if I divide the high water by 8.

The miner above hit an assert and crashed because he didn't delete the old block chain.

Why did not win xp

I've altered the high water so difficult work will not make it into the main chain. This consensus driven algorithm should keep the difficulty around ~0.00182897. Previously I had set the high water a bit too high for low end CPU's.

Please give me 25 minutes to compile and 20 minutes to deploy.

Seems like I am actually able to mine with it, got 384 in my immature section so far within 5 minutes.

OK, I did not restart the blockchain, instead we will fork it (if possible) and start a low difficulty side-chain eventually becoming the main chain.

Please delete any blockchain related files and re-download.

I almost got some for a second there but it must have orphaned because it disappeared from immature and changed to "Mined (Unaccepted)". 

Getting about 400 KH/s on a mid 2013 macbook.

Hopeful to find a few coins.
