@ bitcreditscc

Just found this ann and your coin but a little confused.

I read that the wallet should be version 2.1.6 but as some one posted earlier, I also downloaded from the OP and the wallet says v1.2.06.1. I also tried the link in your post #192 and the download says v0.3.1 but when running the wallet it says v0.10.99.0. When I open the one from your post #192 the wallet does look like what you have posted in #193 but the version numbers don't match up.

Like I said, I am confused on what wallet to be on and what download to use.

Hello

v0.3.1 is a release candiate, which is what it says in the wallet and my post, it is an update on which i am basing some of the major stuff i am working on.

Use the one in the OP if you are mining that link always points to the latest stable build..

Quote
the wallet is still marked as pre-release since there are features i want to add.

the 10.99 is some remnant from upstream since with every update i rebase to the latest code, then work in every change.

Ok but can you verify that the link in the OP is correct?

Like I said earlier, you said to make sure we are on version 2.1.6 but the OP download says version 1.2.06.1. Is this just an issue where the 1.2.06.1 is just a glitch and it is actually v2.1.6?

I just don't want to be wasting time on a wrong wallet.

If you are going to leave your BTC on an exchange please send it to this address instead 1GH3ub3UUHbU5qDJW5u3E9jZ96ZEmzaXtG, I will at least use the money better than someone who steals it from the exchange. Thanks Wink

yes the version system is very confusing. The one in the OP is correct, i'll correct the post to reflect the current number. Was hoping not to touch anything until today's nightly build is completed

Progress Report

What is this?

I am running preliminary tests on a statistics engine which will be the core of BitBank, what it basically does is collect information about each users transactions, compare with the general network and present figures. These figures have a direct influence on your trust rating and credits score.

Your trust rating and credit score are central to your ability to use BitBank facilities.

For now I am focusing on expanding the rudimentary algorithms in the engine to be able to provide accurate useable information. Again, forget the whitepaper for now, i have ideas and i like to try to implement them more than i like writing about them.

Note:- the slight rebranding to drop the "s" is part of a drive to expand beyond just the main chain.

As i work out some of the algorithms and think on how best to reward those who contribute to the bank, grants and the reserve, i am more convinced that a modified PoS (selective staking) is not ideal. As a result i am going for a custom solution.  Also, likely I may have BitBank become a completely separate currency that is based of Bitcredits, that is to say that there will be a fork, Bitcredits will continue as normal, but from that point a new chain is in effect that supports BitBank, this is because i want BitBank to be cross-chain capable, meaning that i  will add support for some of the major currencies.

Totally confused..

Did the ICO already happen? What was the price? And only solomining for now?

ICO suspended i'm taking the time to work on the code. yes for now it's solo-mining it's pretty easy.

Considering the sudden jump in blocks produced i'm guessing a lot of hash has been thrown on.

Anyone noticed how it's just the centralized infrastructure built around Bitcoin that is causing all the problems? Call me crazy, but ideas like Bitcredits BitBank are the future, decentralization makes for better security.

You built from source i guess? You are probably working of a development branch for the bank, please stick to the master branch unless you are otherwise advised

You dont really need much

What are you trying to do?

if you are trying to mine automatically on Client launch,

gen=1
genproclimit=(however many threads your PC can handle)

Please note 750MB ram x 8 == 6GB Ram, ergo if you have only 6 GB you need to set less threads. The client mines perfectly well.

Warning

Do not use Bitcredit wallets that i have not personally issued, or vetted. There is an ongoing issue of scammers posting virus laden links and wallets. For other coins that interest you,  if you are in the first group of people to follow the link do so in a Virtual Machine separate from your computer.

Play it safe, they could be after anything from your coins to your personal data. And even if you do not see it, such code may leave stuff even after uninstall.

Try to be careful and happy mining.
