Yeah, overhaul, more like a whole new one. I made offers of huge amounts of BCr for people to take up jobs but none came forward.

...
Might have some ideas, tomorrow I will hit you up on Skype about the ANN overhaul.

I tried with both last versions: 30.17.6-64bit and 30.17.8-rc2 and each with a new wallet.
Same result with both versions.

Any suggestions to resolve this?

Thanks, but it is not the missing node. I got enough other nodes connected.
It is the error that blocks the sync.

ive hit the bad chain a few times syncing or just going on as usual and ending up on one. I usually use the bootstrap and re-sync. the wallet will never get back on the correct chain if it ends up on invalid one.
to start fresh save from data directory the backups folder, bitcredit.conf, miningkeys.dat, wallet.dat

$MAID & $BTC other than that some short hodls and some long held garbage.

It seems strange when over a dozen of my wallets(different computers, different locations), includding 2 BNs stops at same block 236433, im not a specialist but again I see in my log that 82.211.1.181:8877 and 91.230.123.101 is misbehaving.

Maybe this theory that some of this network problems are cause by a weak cheap nodes are not so crazy at all ? (Just a loudly thinking)  Roll Eyes

EDIT:

2 BNs freshly synced from the start, with only neded files, same result.

My boxes all seem OK, synced with chainz @ 240626 right now... try restarting with -reindex maybe?

i did but looks like some nodes are stuck on a specific block as well

It seems to me you need to sync while connected to nodes on the right chain. My fresh sync to test the stuff me and the dev did worked pretty well.

Can anyone tell me the current wallet that is working? Was having issues so I shut them down to wait for a fix.

I know the OP is not always updated with the current one out for testing reasons.

If you are going to leave your BTC on an exchange please send it to this address instead 1GH3ub3UUHbU5qDJW5u3E9jZ96ZEmzaXtG, I will at least use the money better than someone who steals it from the exchange. Thanks Wink

okay what the fuck.. third time i did this..

i completely emptied the data folder.. added all the available nodes from the blockexplorer in my bitcredit.conf.. did a full resync of my wallet..

again stuck on block 236433!! Huh

well....you expect a difference while connecting to bad nodes? There is nothing the dev can do about cutting them off save for an upgrade. Try using the --connect flag with a synced node.

Please upload an updated bootstrap file for Win64.
Latest Win64 binaries would help also.

taking my mind off the core client for a couple of days, need some perspective. Instead i'll focus on side projects that have gone months with no work, like the spv client.

why are you surprised about the price drop? lets be honest cuz there are still issues with fresh syncing a wallet

i love this project and i love the dev's dedication but maybe he should focus on the wallet first before doing anything else? dont get me wrong but nobody wants to invest in an unstable project so start by laying a strong foundation

I have harped about this, oh I have no idea how many times in this thread.

I have 3 BN that have been off line for over two weeks now. One I mined and 2 I purchased when these where a lot higher in value. So I have been missing BN payments for over a total of a month with all the wallet issues since they are down for a week to a few weeks at a time.

I have had wallets for over 2 years now and never had this kind of issue with any.

I am not a dev and can't help in that manner at all. I can support a project by either mining or purchasing a coin which I have done both with this project. Also since the direction this project is heading in taking the mining out then purchase is the only option for the future but in no way will this be taken serious by other investors with the main staple being a wallet and it not working stable.

I asked a few days ago, just s few posts above, about what is the most current and stable version of the wallet to run and still not one reply.

I wish and hope this project achieves it's goals as I have invested into it but hope the wallet issue can get fixed as soon as possible. Like I said I have missed BN payments for quite a while if I add the total time they have been down.
