Hopefully last issue from me.

Is putting the wallet.dat from the appdata folder backup just a drop in the roaming folder and renaming to wallet.dat?

I show block 265,169 at 36 hours behind but last transaction from 7/14/2015 with only 6.08721855 BCR in my wallet. I did not do a back-up from the option on the bottom row.

If not frick me, I am down to 2 BN.

If you are going to leave your BTC on an exchange please send it to this address instead 1GH3ub3UUHbU5qDJW5u3E9jZ96ZEmzaXtG, I will at least use the money better than someone who steals it from the exchange. Thanks Wink

what happened to the original wallet that promp you to grab one from the backups
did it rescan when you loaded it?

someone better at this than me can likely walk you through a proper rescan or repairwallet command cycle. unfortunately if the backup was from way before your last known wallet use... then shits possibly hit the fan.

$MAID & $BTC other than that some short hodls and some long held garbage.

If you are sure you have the right back up file then just get the private keys and import in new wallet after successful sync

If we get some extra time (not likely)
it'd be nice to get some displayed info for miners solo mining. Ideally it could show you the keys your working with. (either autodetect or you could add more) then it could show you whether the key is available to be mined against. and if not how many blocks til its available. if none are available it would turn off the miner and when any become available it turns back on to the last known thread setting.

also @ hack_ when your using external miner and you solve a block within the last 40.. does it bork your wallet or no.

While it would be nice ....i think the dev is right, the GUI is crowded already. I guess he'll have to get inventive.

Using external miner i have no problems , it will always mine a block when my turn to contribute comes along.

Can you share with us this big secret, what external miner are you using, where to go ?

Or let it stay this way, who needs a working non-crippled miner.  Lips sealed

p.s.

One page about compressed files, time to use free software 7-zip ...

I'm sure you can use almost any getblocktemplate/getwork miner with the client.

Yes 7zip is free and easy to use crossplatform.

Hi, Just as stonehedge, ive just now discovered this project.

i like the fact that the dev is involved, and works hard to reach the goals set for this coin.

after scanning through the thread i feel a little confused on what different options i have for earning coins, i feel like the information is
scattered a little too much, might be a good idea to compile all of the information down to an easy accessable 1 post, either in the OP
or, a link from the OP. might make it less confusing for newcomers (and hopefully get more people interrested)

just my 2 cents, and dev, keep up the good work :-)

Hi

That is so true, i think he brought back the website :- http://bitcentral.website , while some of the newer stuff is not there yet, it's likely the best amalgamation of info. Please note that you should use the links in the OP as the website is still getting updated.

Yeah , he works hard but i think he has no marketing skills  Tongue

easier access to info, will attract more people, with more people, the chance of people with good marketing skills coming to the project will rise, also other skills, so in the end, it can only be a win/win to get the information compiled into an easy to access place, be it OP or website.

edit: ive looked at the website, and it doesnt really give any information, its more like a sales pitch.

:-)

Reasoning for compiling it all into one place:

Not everyone has the time to sit down and go through 200+ pages to try and figure out how things work, i myself am busy with alot of stuff, both online, and offline, so for me, time is in a sense, money.

Like you say eventually someone will jump in and help, but as far as i know, that is the best he can do for now.

He offered a couple of bounties with a huge cumulative total , asking someone to compile the info , but noone has taken it up.

Earning coins is pretty simple and versatile:- You can own a bank node base node , or you can bid for a day's worth of coins, or you can mine , or you can take up a job and get paid by the blockchain. All this and he promised to add more in the future.

The dev has cooked up some interesting stuff and solved a lot of problems others tried and failed. For example It's impossible to 51% BCR, because  it uses co-operative PoW and no pools so no centralization.

True, i work with him on code sometimes, but lately he's been very quiet , we just see new things. Two days ago i finally caught him in the act :- https://chainz.cryptoid.info/bcr/tx.dws?283899.htm

1) Somehow he put a link in a transaction.... and
2) it leads to a colored coins page  Shocked, he was vague in his response, but i think he's about to switch things up again.

I want to learn more about this project so I'll try to collate information as I read (and do).

Step one and two for me is learning about mining and setting up a node.

http://bitcredits.pw/index.php?topic=7.0

Trying to go through this guide for a hundredth time, so for now yam is working for cpu, only first pool is active ?

Code:
threads = 0

mining-params = bcr:av=0&m=512&donation-interval=50

mine = stratum+tcp://address@p2pool.website:8776/bcr
mine = stratum+tcp://address@bcrp2pool.website:8776/bcr
mine = stratum+tcp://address@bitcreditsp2pool.website:8776/bcr
mine = stratum+tcp://address@bitcredits.pw:8776/bcr

#proxy = socks4a://127.0.0.1:9150
#proxy = socks5://127.0.0.1:1080
compact-stats = 1
print-timestamps = 0

For nvidia Gpu mining with pts-network is working ?

Code:
host=p2pool.website
port=8776
rpcuser=address
rpcpass=pass
# Number of threads requesting work from the server in parallel
getwork_threads=2
submit_threads=2
# OpenCL devices to run miner on
devices=0,1
platform=0

Can't make it to work.

@stonehedge

Read all from the last posts, there's a lot of changes you will save a lot of time, waiting for your info if you will make it to work  Cheesy

btw, if you will need some help with banknode setup, I could help

I have set up 50+ Dash nodes and 20+ Spreadcoin nodes before so hopefully I won't have too much trouble.  I won't take anything for granted though and will report back with how I get on.

Its a bit annoying that I can't withdraw my BCR from Bittrex.  Hopefully they'll fix it soon.

I'm waiting on a response from my contact there. Also please contact other exchanges you use and ask them to add BCR.
