I fell asleep. I'll take a look into it. Has anyone else had an "error opening block file" thing pop up?
Hi, I got this error almost for 2 days now on vm ubuntu with latest wallet and every time I will start from boostrap. First I see an error popup with "Error: A fatal internal error occured, see debug.log for details" from debug.log: best=00646447bf5520b6d8a668c3613828ba1ede6d740961bd99e4b5ef5ca7b49af8 height=266537 log2_work=35.947724 tx=276016 date=2015-12-13 06:20:36 progress=0.984776 cache=2221 2015-12-14 07:36:45 UpdateTip: new best=00147d97ac0969205aaa1b3186fb99d1023c1812d10b9f9fa52887a11c309f70 height=266538 log2_work=35.947724 tx=276017 date=2015-12-13 06:21:17 progress=0.984783 cache=2222 2015-12-14 07:36:45 Unable to open file /home/blablabla/blocks/blk00002.dat 2015-12-14 07:36:45 ERROR: WriteBlockToDisk: OpenBlockFile failed 2015-12-14 07:36:45 *** Failed to write block 2015-12-14 07:38:44 connect() to 176.56.238.121:8877 failed after select(): Connection refused (111) 2015-12-14 07:40:40 ERROR: Read : Failed to open file /home/blablabla/nodecache.dat Didn't care much cause it could be old faulty setup ...

I got a response from bittrex, I have asked them to wait while we do an exhaustive review.
ANY with issues, this is the time, after the next update there will never be an opportunity to review the chain and code this closely.
Now is certainly the time to resolve sync issues and probably a good time to put future feature updates on hold until these issues are sorted once and for all hopefully. I will continue to monitor this thread for update on a resolution, also i would like to thank users who continue to provide support for helping everyone keep nodes synced.

Set up a fresh installed headless Linux with latest git. New version of BCR does only connect to: 176.56.238.121:8877 with the result: connect() to 176.56.238.121:8877 failed after select(): Connection refused (111) socket recv error Connection reset by peer (104)
I didn´t set anything additional in bitcredit.conf. Only rpcuser and rpcpassword which is needed for daemon to run.
Is this a wanted config?

Perhaps... In case you guys are interested in joining the Official BCR Slack channel: ... On a sidenote: Many have requested a Slack channel for BCR, mostly because of the advantages it offers over an IRC channel. Since Slack stores old/previous messages, everyone joining the channel at a later time is able to read back through past conversations. Hence making Slack a transparant and good source of information for people interested. So, on behalf of the developer, I created a Slack channel for BCR: https://bcrofficial.slack.com/ If you want to join, please send me a PM including your email address so I can invite you....

Seems like OS repeatedly closes the connection when reading response from a web server. I had the similar issue, something is up with your router / firewall settings. If you have any firewalls running you may wish to turn them off.

Report:DB corrrption is a result of running out of file descriptors , very subtle issue -- resolved. Failure to sync with 40 block warning :- restart client and use rpc command " reconsiderblock XXXXXX" where XXXXXX is the last accepted block's hash --resolved Cannot Fresh sync -- resolved Questions and reported issues:I have used pngcrush, will report on results once binaries are built. mining is a trial and error effort, the miner searches for a suitable key in miningkeys.dat, generates a hash and tests to see if it will be accepted. As such all keys will be used. Even if you put a thousand valid keys, they would all eventually be used. Bittrex has been on hold at my request so I could take a careful look at the issues we had. Users who have difficulty reading/understanding English , please speak up, we can get you translations. Other Changes 1) git repo renamed 2) version 0.30.19.3 Today: Within an hour i'll mine the first block and get the network moving again. Within an hour windows will be up (unless something happens) GUI fixes will start being made Later More progress
