Dont feel spammed by me, but its the most important part of our mission the next weeks:

Here is how to do:

SWAP

1a. Backup wallet.dat from old unswapped europecoin
1b. Download new wallet: https://github.com/LIMXTEC/Europecoin-V3/releases
1c. Install it. You can run the old wallet and the new wallet together by creating a shortcut of the new
europecoin-qt.exe and run with following addition -choosedatadir ---> it will start and ask you for the
name of the new folder; it should be different than the old ERCV2-folder
    http://imgur.com/a/okgHV

1d. IMPORTANT!!
Be sure, that you really have the old wallet with version 2.0.3.0!!! Only these version can transfer
the old coins to swapserver. If you havee  Version 2.0.25.0 or even older, so make sure, to go to ERC V2.0.3.0.
    Link is here:
    http://www.europecoin.eu.org/europecoin-wallet-download/category/1-europecoin-wallet?download=30:v2-0-windows-noinstall-28-01-2016

2. Go to following link: http://www.europecoin.eu.org/swap-tool-erc

3. Press the 'Continue' button

4. Go to 'Account'  http://imgur.com/a/RrZnv

5. Click on 'Change' to fill in your new ERCwalletaddress from ERC V3.

6. For more security set a password.

7. Save your unique URL somewhere. Its also important for some delays or whatever could happen.
Tell your Service Token only "szenekonzept", "Limx Dev" or "metamorpin" from Bitcointalk.

8. Click deposit. You reach the new swap-deposit-address, where you can send now your old coins.

9. By clicking reload symbol near of Balance, you should see after a while your incoming old coins on the
swapserver. Or you click on pending deposit under 'Deposit' http://imgur.com/a/MXJQr

10. Wait now till monday. We are transfering the new coins always on monday.

11. last hint of chris:

  Please Note:

  - Please create for every transaction a new withdraw address.
  - Your received for 10 ERC one new ERC (10:1).
  - The payout day for new ERCs is always Monday.
  - Please use your account only for one transaction! ( Remove your cookis for a new account)
  - The minimum amount is 250 old erc.
  - We pay only full new ERC ( 250.007 old ERC = 25 new ERC).

12. Our first timeperiod should be around 6 months. We will announce still the exact date after the first smooth
    swapped coins.

Enjoy now the new ride of ERC V3.

Before I close my briefing for you -

PRAISE our awesome developer team. We wouldnt be here, if Chris wouldnt go line for line through the unique
code of ERC. We wouldnt be known, if Matthias wouldnt manage the marketing and lead the coin. And we couldnt complete
the 3 Musketeer team without me.

If you wanna show your love for their work, so here is their ERCV3 wallet: EZd4RKp6N91q6EHtm3e9aoCqa5Pb66qFSj

EDIT: Bittrex or any exchange isnt involved in this swap. You have to transfer the coins to swapserver and call us a new address there..

ok for me solo mining via ERC wallet seems to crash my PC

i can see example at memorycoin which seems to be the inventor of this mining also users report wallet crashes

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=598187.msg15497556#msg15497556

i guess it will be related to the CPU type and cpu overclocking
i have overclocked CPU that run any stability test stable but maybe this mining kills it

CPU 4790K overclock 4.5 GHZ

i will try now wallet without activate mining
important is that u said u want to include wallets start mining automatic if networkhashrate low
i dont want that a wallet miner that crash my PC start to mine automatic without me allow him to do so....

Ok interesting whaiting for your report, you are using windows?
version, processor architecture and the debug.log will help us to.

have fun
Matthias

.

You can use a external cpu miner if you have problems by mining.

I have note some infos about the mining.

Code:
gen=1
minermemory=1
genproclimit=3
miningaddress=yourwalletaddresshere

play around with that values in conf
it seems when i only run 3 threads instead of 8 it runs without crash my PC
and i can work without to much lag

so in case u have overclocked CPU and/or u work also on that pc i suggest only set half of ur avaiable threads

my CPU for example have 8 threads (4 core with hyperthreading) and limit ERC POW to 3 is allwoing me mine without impact on my work and stability

a additional great tool i use is TThrottle which allow me reduce CPU time for selected processses in case CPU temp raise above a set value

a hint from security point of view
never make ur mining address ur main address
have a main and a mining address

the nature of bitcoin codebase (still used by ERC)
include the quantum computer resistance is heavy impacted by how many transactions a address had already

so try have as less transactions on ur main address as possible

this is a point why maybe the way ERC work now is in this aspect more secure than by use POS where u generate many many tx on same address

and it is the reason why DMD who will stay POS coin is moving to advanced more secure address lenght with DMD 3.0

people say quantum computers are 10-30 years away

but we also know miltiary gear is like 10 years ahead

so i see it a real risc in the upcoming years

nice tip and a good point, yes, nobody should underestimate the possibility Quantum Computers will rise quickly.
There are already working ones, from Seth Goldberg (MIT, GOOGLE) (think was the name) though they are all fishing in the dark,
when it come to harvest the power for an operation, that makes sense to anybody, this fact is the last tiny missing part.
If its solved it will ignite the whole thing within a year and go straight though the roof.

have fun

i tryed a 3 months ERC TERM deposit for 4% pa gain (~1% gain in 3 months)
really interesting way to reward hold coins and will have pretty similar positive market effects as POS

regarding the above quantum security discussion
the target address of a ERC TERM deposit could be a new address each time u do it

thats maximum security a address with only 1 transaction in and later one transaction out into a new TERM deposit address

how u plan handle exchanges?
when as stated we will have 6 months both chains active
we cant have the new ERC 6 months without a exchange

ideal would be a deal with bittrex that they state to close ERC and reopen ERC market based on new chain in like 1 Month
as i understand people who miss withdraw could be possible withdraw later via support ticket their old ERC towards the swap addresses

but i dont think it make sense keep old chain market longer active

The new (3.01) wallet mining is working good.
CPU is an i7 and getting 73 h/s
Ran it overnight for 10 hrs and got 17.00005625 coins.
Will be trying an external miner next.

Confirmation time is slow. 1st reward is 92/280 confirms after 9 hrs. Very slow atm.
This should speed up as more folks switch to v3.

I like the concept of having the wallet auto-mine if the network hash gets too low.
A technical question: how many cpu threads are going to be used?
If it's going to use max threads; your going to have wallets being closed as it makes the pc sluggish.

You can set the number of threads in the europecoin.conf file. If you dont set anything I think its using max.

This is the guide that have been posted for it.

You need to limit the number of CPU threads with genproclimit=4 or whatever number of cores you have to spare.
Then I wonder: what is this setting: minermemory=2. Gb?

But memory also matters, right? I have two Win7 computers with identical setup and similar configs:

Computer 1: 4 CPU cores, 16Gb memory, 3.2Gb used; mining with 2 cores
Computer 2: 6 CPU cores, 16Gb memory, 4.3Gb used; mining with 4 cores

Computer 1 yields nearly twice as much ERC as computer 2 with only half the number of cores!
