Giving me 1000+ S3/C1/S4 coupons is a great marketing move; but doesn't really reward me for being a loyal customer.

Please stop spamming low value coupons.  Reward your loyal customers with actual discounts.

You could probably send them a proposal and see what they will accept. They obviously want to get rid of some stock.

I'm not going to discuss this any longer....

A discussion was not requested - an apology was.

....in this thread as its off topic.

What, so it's on topic when you post your accusation on this thread, but off topic for me to challenge you about it?:

Pat, we all know what you're doing - you need to make some more accounts if you want to keep flaming from secret.

If BitmainWarranty & Yoshi are decent enough to apologise for your behaviour on your behalf - the very least you can do is apologise for your own baseless accusations & insulting comments. Publicly. Then remove your offending feedback & derogatory posts about me & every other Bitmain customer/forum member you have insulted.

Then, maybe everyone will allow you to "let me please" - whatever the hell that means.  Roll Eyes

Big enough to cate all paying cusotmers! and batc was opened up and batch 2 is still open.

Anyone who knows how large the batches are?

If anyone else knows I would really like to know some numbers.

Edit: If moderator will delete any such information please let me know.

this is 1 btc address for bitmain

https://blockchain.info/address/1KwA4fS4uVuCNjCtMivE7m5ATbv93UZg8V

from dec 23 to today they took in  about 100 orders at 2.8 coins which is 200 s-5's

They did many other amounts some are most likely for other gear.  Some for 1 s-5 some for 3 s-5's

I estimate that this 1 address has been paid for more then 350 but less then 600  s-5's in the last 4 days and change.
I am too busy to spend more time on this  but if you really want to figure it out.

1.4 btc is most likely 1 s-5
2.8 btc is most likely 2 s-5's
4.2 btc is most likely 3 s-5's
5.6 btc is most likely 4 s-5's
7.0 btc is most likely 5 s-5's

any number not close to a 1.4 btc x ? =

is other gear.  maybe a s-4

im owed money, dogie has taken it upon himself to post more garbage - to which i have retorted.

I can't read every bit of dribble that drips into this forum. I did read your warning about the dangerous hardware they sell that is vaporware, and I had to stop. Dogie is a resource here and you are destroying him. So my purpose is to get you to back off a bit so that I and others can get future tech running when some new FinFet doohickey that refuses to do its biz is turning our heads bald.

BTW: He has clearly stated that he is paid by Bitmain so stop calling him names. If you can't keep two thoughts in your head at the same time then turn down the heat a bit and take it slow.

so your role is to waste yours and others' time defending an ignorant & offensive shill..

give it up.

i'll 'turn it down & take it slow' as and when i am reimbursed as i was promised. aka never

all of which is neither yours nor dogies business.

thanks for your concern though, im sure dogie appreciates the support

Look I agree with fatman3001  this is a thread on the s-5.

I am due 1 S-5 for testing.  I want to get my unit and set it up  and let the community know if they should buy it.
If it is good like the s-1 or s-3 or if it has issues like the early s-2 did.

 Attacking dogie
 Attacking bitmain

This belongs in a different thread.
I am  as fair-minded as the next person and the haters of dogie/bitmaintech may have good reason to hate or may be shills.
It simply does not belong in this thread.
I will say one more thing  for asic builders bitmaintech remains on my good list as of today.

@ Fatman3001    I crunched sales numbers a little more from 12-22 to 12-26 and I believe at least 400 to 600 s-5's have sold and paid to that addy I posted above.

Bitmain just dropped the price of the S5 (batch 2 or 3? from the shipping date of 05 Jan.) on Amazon to $480 each shipped.

This is a good number and you may be able to return it on Amazon if it has issues.

I do offer 1 word of caution no demos so far have been shipped  I have no notice of shipping from them.  Also two others promised a demo have not received any shipping notice.

So as of today placing an order for an s-5 is an act of blind faith in bitmaintech.  I did this with the s-3 and batch 1.  These still work for me since July 23rd 24/7/365 but they always liked to run at freq 212 and hash at 425gh. -------- I did a profit with them.

I really wish buyers of this gear would not rush to buy it.  I also wish I had a shipping notice for my demo unit.
This is a new chip with a new board it is an unknown.
Bitmaintech has hit some winners  s-1 s-3 even s-4 were good. s-2 was meh.

@ bitmaintech  please let the reviewers you have picked  when you are shipping to us.  I really want to let the public know if the gear is good.  TIA phil

Didn't Bitmain state it would start shipping on the 27th?  Why would you expect a shipping notice if the 27th isn't even over in China?

OK, in the interest of keeping this civil, and because I too have had the pleasure of dogies confused accusations (see my banner) - I feel I should chip in with my 2 cents....mainly because I believe dogie has just gone too far this time. Read on.......

I was also contacted by both BitmainWarranty & Yoshi, prior I believe, to them contacting PatMan for the same reason - firmware issues & dogies attitude, which I discussed with them both. As PatMan has stated, both BitmainWarranty & Yoshi were very understanding, and yes, they both apologized to me also for dogies comments. I don't want to go into detail about what was agreed, I will leave that up to BitmainWarranty & Yoshi to do so if they feel obliged to. I also contacted PatMan after my discussion with them, urging him to divulge his grievances, which I understand he did & was happy with the outcome - as was I. Everything I said above can be confirmed by both BitmainWarranty & Yoshi if there are any doubters out there.

So now I log on & what do I see? Yet another baseless insult from dogie on the Bitmain thread. I feel that everything we discussed has just been abandoned, how can this possibly be of any help to Bitmain? What possible good can become of it? I actually feel sorry for Bitmain right now, they are trying their hardest to to restore customers faith - while dogie continues hurling insults & accusations on their very own thread(s).

If dogie thinks it's OK & "on topic" to insult people on Bitmain threads, but considers it "off topic" for his accused to counter his remarks & ask for an apology - then there is something definitely wrong here. Don't you think?

Thank you.

when you are owed money that is nothing to million dollar bitmain, im sure you would use any and every opportunity to warn other potential victims of the high likelihood of receiving far less than the shills 'promise'

do i really want to spend my time & energy repeating myself?? of course not.

but what choice do i have?

bow down to a bunch of paid-off sock muppets? i think not!

!Buyers Beware!

promises mean nothing here

@ Fatman3001    I crunched sales numbers a little more from 12-22 to 12-26 and I believe at least 400 to 600 s-5's have sold and paid to that addy I posted above.

Thanks, it will be interesting to see what it looks like when these machines hit the network. Do you know if they use other addresses?

TBH, I kind of have a hard time believing the s5 should be a big seller. It is slightly more efficient at a time people are still licking their wounds from both the doubling of network hash rate and halving of XBT price at the same time. And it isn't really any revolution in value $/GH either. Not to mention that the S3s are still making money so one can't recycle the PSUs. If they had released specs earlier I probably would have gone for some S4s over a month ago.
