If you are looking for water cooling, I already have a place that can sell them to you.
If it is syscooling, no thanks $25 for a water block + $40 for shipment and not accepting bicoin is crazy/pricy for someone living on a country that one of its three main exports is aluminum. Besides, i'm looking to create an ultra dense solution with a backplane design for the water piping.

Considering the heat generated, paper is a bad idea.
Paper will not ignite until 233*C, card board higher, if your exhaust air is approaching those temperatures you have a bigger problem.

@bitmain why did you enclose the S3 with a case and 2 fans and leave the S5 wide open with only one LOUD fan? this is terrible for airflow.....you could probably have used a less noisy fan if u enclosed it with a case like the S3.
You can make (or order) the case by yourself. Without it S5 became lighter, so the shipping is cheaper. Heat dissipation is developed not so good in case of S5, so it needs a powerful (it inevitable means LOUD) fan. Sure they could sell S5 equiped with two less noisy fans (most of us make such mod), or they could sell S5 without fan at all. But we got what we got. Recently I placed all S5 to the basement, so I installed a Gembird DC120SF-12AS3 120x120x38 fan as a push fan, and stock fan as a pull (on my new 2 S5s since stock fans on them are appearantly much quieter than it was before, on earlier S5s). It works OK now. where can i order a case? There has been some impressive 3d printing of parts some of which enclose the center of the miner - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1072176.0It's fairly recent and Bitmain even supported it by sending it's OP a little coin. I would check it out if your thinking about enclosing the S5. i think 3d printing stuff might be overkill. i put a 1/16 inch piece of acrylic on the bottom (because i havea wire shelf) and cut a piece of card board for the top (for testing purposes) and now my blades are the same temp. before they were 4-5c apart and one would always be hotter. now they are the exact same temp most of the time. ant this is just with some crappy cardboard cut out. imagine if i had a fully enclosed aluminum case. I dont have the tools to make a metal case or a plastic one for the matter. maybe really glossy poster board will work since it has a more smooth surface. which might be better for airflow. Considering the heat generated, paper is a bad idea. NO there isn't, unless you suspect Spark or Flame. Papers ignition is tempature 218–246c. The ignition temperature of corrugated cardboard is 427 C, or 800 F. Source: http://www.tis-gdv.de/tis_e/ware/papier/wellpapp/wellpapp.htmIts not the ignition of paper which is a problem, its the combustibility. If you set light to an S5 the materials would self extinguish within the required timeframe of the standards. When you add in paper it interrupts this process and can spread a fire from the S5 to other materials in the vicinity as its going to burn until termination.

So I think we are safe to say we are done with them. On the 3D cases they are really neat, I think price can go down some as time goes on. Right now I think most printers are a little time intensive to do out of the PLA stuff. There are some amazing resin printers but they are pretty pricy. But I think 3D printing offers a lot of possibilities in the future.

Maybe even get a prototype by month's end and see if there's still interest in this type of product here. heh

I've built a couple laser cut acrylic enclosure for my S5, some that use the frame as a base, some that don't. I was planning on posting some pictures in a week or so when I'd done more testing with ducting... I'm also doing full heat analysis with a thermal camera, not relying on the temps reported by the board, that are next to useless. So far my best design screws in on the bottom and sides (fully enclosing them) and then drops in over the the top, basically resting on top of the PCB, with a cutout section for the Beaglebone. The Push fan configuration is actually less efficient in this situation - so I switched to pull which works great. Not much gain for push/pull, so didn't bother. Right now I'm using 5.6mm acrylic (I can easily get it at Lowes, and they'll cut it to my laser cutters max size for me), but I think 2mm will work as well and be cheaper. Once I get everything nailed down, I'll probably just figure out my yield and go to TapPlastics or one of the larger places that has a greater selection. On the ducting side I originally tried 4" aluminum flex duct, but there is too much resistance so I've order parts to test with 6" duct (5" is too hard to source generally speaking). For the 4" I found a great flange that I liked, but on 6" it's more difficult, so I'm opting for a PVC toilet connector, which I will glue to the acrylic - and I think this will also be less work at the same time. All in all the enclosure path is the way to go - I'm going to redo all of my S5's to use the cases, plus I think the S5 looks quite a bit better when in acrylic. Anyone who is impatient and wants to see what it looks like can PM me their email and I'll shoot over some images - then they can also confirm that I actually did it.

i can confirm the temp problems without internet. just today my internet went down for about 30 minutes..
they started beeping as usual when it detects no internet and all the fans turned off. i pretty much ignored it and went on doing what i was doing. after a few minutes i noticed the s5 beep turned into a solid tone.. ive never heard that before.
i went to check it and when i touched the heat sink and it was so hot i couldn't put my finger on it. the fans were not spinning very fast and really hot air was coming out the back. i instantly shut it down.
the internet is back on again, it seems to be working ok.. today was the final day of my 90 day warranty.. i hope i dont have any problems because of this.
this is a problem and a potential fire hazard.. had i not been home who knows what would have happened.
i went and put the fan on a molex adapter.. its not ideal since its now at full speed.. but if the internet shuts off again the fan wont stop.

looks like a lot of network hash is coming online.. seems difficulty is about to go to the moon Next difficulty retarget occurs at block 360863.0 (eta 2.8 days): 46504486469.3 / -2.3% [est.] going down I did read the blog about KNC and there 16 mm chip it's not suppose to increase hash, if I read it right but save more on Power then anything and be one of the most efficient farms around.
