I signed up on Christmas because theyre administration extended the dealine

Under what US authority does Sith Lord Obama can simply decide to apply part of a law, move a dead line around, etc? If you are a king, tyrant, emperor, pope, grand mufti, etc then Yes He Could!

The strangest thing is... He is a constitutional something something. This is perfect if the democrats are in power for the rest of the end of the USA. But all of those power grabbing moves are Jurisprudence example for the people you wish will never come back into power. Are you going to feel sad when the republicans will apply the same exact moves the Sith Lord did or happy?

Obamacare is the law of the land now... just like slavery used to be.

Do you not think you risk people calling you an alarmist?  Sith Lord? Slavery?  Take a moment to breathe and consider the alternative.  You disagree with Obamacare.  So do I.  But neither of us really believes that Barack Obama is a Sith Lord.  Do we?

Darth Vador was the coolest Sith Lord ever.

The "Rule of Two" of the title requires that there be only two Sith in existence at one time: a Master and an Apprentice.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Wars:_Darth_Bane:_Rule_of_Two

In this case Obama and valerie jarret would perfectly fit my definition of a Master and an Apprentice. And Sith Lord Obama has a ring to it.

Dred Scott v. Sandford, 60 U.S. 393 (1857), was a landmark decision by the U.S. Supreme Court in which the Court held that African Americans, whether slave or free, could not be American citizens and therefore had no standing to sue in federal court,[2][3] and that the federal government had no power to regulate slavery in the federal territories acquired after the creation of the United States. Dred Scott, an African American slave who had been taken by his owners to free states and territories, attempted to sue for his freedom. In a 7–2 decision written by Chief Justice Roger B. Taney, the Court denied Scott's request and in doing so, ruled an Act of Congress to be unconstitutional for the second time in its history.[4][5]
Although Taney hoped that his ruling would settle the slavery question once and for all, the decision immediately spurred wide public debate. Most scholars and many contemporary political figures (including the leadership of the then-new Republican Party) considered the ruling regarding slavery in the territories to be dictum, not binding precedent. The decision would prove to be an indirect catalyst for the American Civil War and was functionally superseded by the post-war Reconstruction Amendments. It is now widely regarded as the worst decision ever made by the Supreme Court
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dred_Scott_v._Sandford

Now it is perfectly OK to be over the top if based with facts and smile like I usually do AND be called a 5 alarm alarmist at the same time.

2014 is still young Cheesy

It's a textbook example of the strange higher standard that Republicans are held to compared to Democrats.  Which is increasing, not decreasing.

Democratic politicians can be crackheads.

But Republican politicians can't be crackheads.

A democrat can write in his autobiography how he was loving his cocaine while he was studying in the 80s at Columbia U. Cocaine was very expensive in the 80s. How could he afford it being a poor student and all?. We shall never know. Wink

So you can ask for a government loan and buy cocaine with it? Does one need to ask for a receipt from the drug dealer?

While I do not agree with your choice of language, I agree that the US usually has no real choice in the matter.  I don't know why we keep voting for the same clowns over and over and then complain...you voted them in folks!

Democratic politicians can be crackheads.

But Republican politicians can't be crackheads.

Republicans can't be sexual deviants, either.  Some kind of fetish is almost a given for Democrats at the national level.

"The powers of financial capitalism had another far-reaching aim, nothing less than to create a world system of financial control in private hands able to dominate the political system of each country and the economy of the world as a whole. This system was to be controlled in a feudalist fashion by the central banks of the world acting in concert, by secret agreements arrived at in frequent meetings and conferences. The apex of the systems was to be the Bank for International Settlements in Basel, Switzerland, a private bank owned and controlled by the world's central banks which were themselves private corporations. Each central bank...sought to dominate its government by its ability to control Treasury loans, to manipulate foreign exchanges, to influence the level of economic activity in the country, and to influence cooperative politicians by subsequent economic rewards in the business world."

Just words on a paper.  Different words on another paper would have a different effect.

I'm afraid it doesn't quite work that way.  You can make some inroads locally and at the state level.  But the national circus is way different.  The nice thing would be for the liberatarians and the Tea Party to keep working at transforming the Republican party into something with some principles and goals.  Libertarian-ish.

Not sure that's doable, but it certainly would be nice.  Right now there are some real serious problems that are not getting spelled out well in the political arena as issues.  Jus one -

Survelliance - what party will come out against it?  both are divided on this issue.  If the repubs come out against the illegal, unconstitutional NSA spying, they would make a giant step forward in voter popularity.

I doubt that will happen, but it's what I'd like to see happen...

Remember how the Sith Lord was sooo against the NSA Death Star when he was a candidate? How he was against wars and stuff?

Again, when you campaign it is one thing. You tell people what they want to believe. The system needs transparency. Real transparency. I am not a Liberal, but I would believe I would NOT kowtow and forget my principles because "my man" was in power.

I truly do not understand how Liberals are not madder by the day. Vaseline should be part of basic free healthcare for them.

CHICAGO (AP) — The new year brought relief to some Illinois patients newly insured under the nation’s health care law. Others still weren’t sure whether they were covered, despite their best efforts to navigate the often-balky new system.
The major benefits of President Barack Obama’s health care overhaul took effect Wednesday, the first day of 2014. By Thursday, the first business day of the new insurance system, it became clear that snags in the rollout of the Affordable Care Act still remained.
On the plus side, the law’s protections mean consumers can no longer be denied coverage if they’re in poor health. New limits on how much insured patients must pay for care will mean fewer bankruptcies after catastrophic illnesses. Insurance plans must offer a minimum level of essential benefits, and care such as flu shots and mammograms will be fully covered without cost to patients.
But early problems with the federal HealthCare.gov website led many people to wait until last week to sign up, and insurers are still processing enrollment forms.
Paperwork problems almost delayed suburban Chicago resident Sheri Zajcew’s scheduled surgery Thursday, but Dr. John Venetos decided to operate without a routine go-ahead from the insurance company. That was after Venetos’ office manager spent two hours on hold with the insurer Thursday, trying to get an answer about whether the patient needed prior authorization for the surgery. The office manager finally gave up.
“I’m not a happy camper,” said Nate Zajcew, the patient’s husband. The couple signed up for a Blue Cross Blue Shield bronze plan through the federal HealthCare.gov site on Dec. 16. “I understand it’s just a matter of paperwork and yesterday was a holiday. I can be an SOB, too, at times, but since they’re going on with the procedure, it’s OK.”
Venetos, a Chicago digestive system specialist, described “tremendous uncertainty and anxiety” among patients calling his office recently. Some thought they’d signed up for coverage but hadn’t received insurance cards yet. Others had insurance policies that were canceled and weren’t sure if their coverage had been reinstated after Gov. Pat Quinn decided to allow one-year extensions of canceled plans.
Venetos said he has decided to take a risk and provide care for these patients, at least until there’s less confusion about coverage.
“We feel it’s the right thing to do,” Venetos said. “We may end up stuck holding the bag and not getting paid on these claims.”

If you plan to be on obamacare (kidding as it is the law) don't forget that the system cannot process new babies in your family, death in your family, switching jobs, etc, etc.

AP:
There’s another quirk in the Obama administration’s new health insurance system: It lacks a way for consumers to quickly and easily update their coverage for the birth of a baby and other common life changes.

With regular private insurance, parents just notify the health plan. Insurers will still cover new babies, the administration says, but parents will also have to contact the government at some point later on.

Right now the HealthCare.gov website can’t handle such updates.

It’s a reminder that the new coverage for many uninsured Americans comes with a third party in the mix: the feds. And the system’s wiring for some vital federal functions isn’t yet fully connected.

So there are still some people remaining uncovered due to their flawed online application?
Don't worry.

There will be a lot of government advertizing about how great things are, until people mindlessly repeat "Our health care plan is great".
