The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

C:\Users\\Desktop\GPminer>minerd -a X11 -o http://127.0.0.1:23461
 -u GRtKdSK6PYZF9ypFZ6fm6wDiQKKuSowcvq -p pass111 -t 3 -q
[2015-01-15 12:09:32] 3 miner threads started, using 'X11' algorithm.
[2015-01-15 12:09:33] HTTP request failed: Failed to connect to 127.0.0.1 port 2
3461: Connection refused
[2015-01-15 12:09:33] json_rpc_call failed, retry after 30 seconds

Hmmmm GPMiner giving me errors do I need to register to one of the pools to start mining via CPU?

Can't mine anymore. Only stake.

He has to put a note near "GP Miner" on ANN to info others that mining GP is unavailable and that Staking is commencing as of now!

I'm GP isn't a pump and dump like other shitty coins I've observed and analyzed!

Absolutely, told to the few crypto people I know why I bought it:

PRE-ANN: everyone had time to get ready

No Pre-Mine

Linear block rewards for one whole week: no halving or complicated schemes to reward those early miners and their buddies with big blocks etc - no body was late to the party all through POW

Transparent Dev from the beginning, no surprises

Everything has gone smoothly appart from some people who can't get their conf file right.

Dev knows his way in his industry and has prior experience. Has been active, delivering and building the infrastructure out of his own pocket and with the very few donations he has received. (sending some more in a minute cause as I'm guilty of this as well and it will only help my investment on the coin grow)

No dumps by the looks of it apart from miners who have to pay for electricity and ROI

Market responded to all these factors early from the first days on c-cex til now - without an army of hypers and mooners and posting memes and the usual stuff you find on PnD anns.

Can anyone help SBear out? He says he sent 25,000 coins to his wallet over 24 hours ago and they were staking and suddenly stopped. I can't fathom what the problem would be other than the coins are maturing which for me is happening in 50 blocks? If anyone else has any advice that would help me.

Appreciate any ideas on solving this issue for him. Thanks guys!

Does the wallet show orphans? It could be an orphan. If so it should stake again very soon successfully.

No orphan blocks, what you see is everything that's happened.

Deposited a few thousand at different intervals over an hour.
24 Hours later, I staked for around 3 hours after all 25k Matured.

One conflicted block:

Quote
Status: conflicted
Date: 1/15/2015 07:47
Source: Generated
Debit: 0.00 GP
Net amount: -6965.25124825 GP
Transaction ID: 5f2735ab9f642a8b3af1f434df924b100fc4eaaf7f5942c027cda8420bc6436e

Generated coins must mature 60 blocks before they can be spent. When you generated this block, it was broadcast to the network to be added to the block chain. If it fails to get into the chain, its state will change to "not accepted" and it won't be spendable. This may occasionally happen if another node generates a block within a few seconds of yours.

Mined 4x blocks after that, then poof. No more staking.

Deposited 7x times for 25k GP total.
Mined 7x Blocks with those deposits.

As far as I know this: "Generated coins must mature 60 blocks before they can be spent. When you generated this block, it was broadcast to the network to be added to the block chain. If it fails to get into the chain, its state will change to "not accepted" and it won't be spendable. This may occasionally happen if another node generates a block within a few seconds of yours."

Means it was an orphaned stake. Don't worry you should always get your 500% annual stake. I haven't looked at the code so I am unsure how GP calculates it (probably monthly) which means you should always get the right % amount per month. Sounds like an orphan to me next time you stake you'll get it back.

Yes but with 25,000 GP I should constantly be staking.
It shouldn't just stop entirely, especially with owning 3.42%

How long have you had the coins in your wallet for? When did they last stake? Give it at least 24-48 hours and you should get a nice stake all at once to make up for it. With proof of stake you never miss out you will always stake your interest eventually. Especially with that many coins. Your staking hasn't stopped as the message said you just had an orphan stake as someone else staked at the same time. Also is the address your original mining address? If so make a new address and send them there to reset coinage. Then they will start staking as the whole 25 000 at once.
