Investing in Cloud Mining is not easy. The research involved in the mining site you hope to choose can be a bit extensive to make sure its not a scam. However if you find a good 3 to 5 year term site that has the mindset to stay in business for the term of your contract it actually can be very profitable.

To be honest, the best cloud mining sites are the ones you stay away from. There are currently two types of cloud mining services:

1.) the ones that don't have any hardware or mining shares as a reseller = scam, stay away
2.) the ones that own big mining farms but with the current low BTC and LTC rates, you are far away from being profitable. Most cloud LTC mining services are close to cancel their contracts and with a falling BTC price the same will happen to BTC cloud services, too.

You better wait for better prices. If you really want to risk your coins, I can only recommend:

I wouldn't recommend you using any cloud mining service, but if you really want to than go with hashprofit.com. I've tried most of them (invest about 50$ and use it for month or so), and I've only made a profit with hashprofit and lost with cex.io because of high fees.

Agree with this, I tried cloud mining on cex.io maybe last year or that was 2013 without exactly knowing what it is and how it works. I just read someone posted on facebook  that you just leave your bitcoin there and you will profit but I just lost my bitcoins.. Why don't you try this minefarm posted here on the forum. Everyone will give you different anwsers.  Honestly there is no sure bet to say yes you make money or no you don't.   So no one can do that.

You can speculate I think mining will be profitable in right conditions.  I mostly deal with physical miners.  But it does depend on value of coin and difficulty.  The difficulty is what is making it ugly last few weeks.

But honestly do some ROI  math here: https://bitcoinwisdom.com/bitcoin/calculator .  See if any of the legit cloud services fit what your looking for.   (You need to put in info to do it don't count on default info)

Consider AntMiner S3 for example, the power consumption is 355 watt, the electricity fee is 0.355 KW * 24H * ￥ 0.8 CNY = ￥ 6.816 CNY / Day.

The hash rate of the AntMiner is 450GHs, so the electricity fee is ￥ 0.015 CNY per GHs.

The maintenance fee is ￥ 0.005 CNY / Day, so the total amount of electricity and maintenance fee is ￥ 0.02 CNY / G / Day.



For the mining farm hash rate, the operator can standardize the miner hash rate of Electricity and Maintenance Fee by their own. The mining farm can update & upgrade the miner, so that they could lower the electricity cost by lower the power consumption. The users will earn more.

The system will automatically deduct the Electricity charge by BTC (exchange rate followed by BTCchina) when we assign the earnings.

Yes, the site was in maintenance mode for a couple of hours, it happens even the big companies. I ll gladly share my data with anyone else who might be interested, once again, I do hold DMD Diamonds but I do not gain anything from you joining or not joining cloud mining program. I suggest you come to BTT DMD thread and ask your questions.

Totally. Anybody can make up a nice flashy website promising all sorts of unicorns and rainbows, but in the end, will probably rip you off, just like scrypt.cc does/did.

Avoid all cloud mining sites, there is no profitability to any of them so most are scams. If you have to mine, buy mining equipment instead, and if you can afford to run it at home, or have it hosted someplace else.

Follow my uncommon kind of cloudmining and in a time you will regret that you have not invested in it.

Best is to claim few times for free...so you can see how much profit you have missed.
None is forced to invest or to claim for free...but tell every where that investment in cloudmining sites is scam is not fair...
And above all...people are fast to talk bad about my systems...but if they see that my systems pay...they disappear like scammers disappear...the "bad talkers about honnest systems" are worse than scammers...(it's just my opinion)

The best information come from users who are in the game a very long time. The more experience they, the more you learn by listening to them.

Genesis mining is always a trusted cloudmining as well however they are selling non profitable contract. As far as hashnet, the time took longer than expected for you to get your ROI however most people has been claiming that they "reach" ROI already because the price of bitcoin has been atleast twice since they bought their contract

in mining sites there is no best ,a chance that it will close and lose some money ,do not trust any mining sites for now many these mining sites closing now.

Theres no best among them, no legality, and to good to be true offer thats why i dont really consider them a wiser choice to earn money their, because its clearly as facts tells about their site information are not true nor missleads so thats one of the reason really they only intend to scam people so we must keep out this things up owners of that sites are gonna scam all the money they collected and thats 100% sure,

A wise person learns from other people's mistakes. Look at what happened to the members of HashOcean, Scrypt.cc, etc. All of those sites had a large impact to the bitcoin community especially to the newbies who invested on those sites. When they ran away, they surely have made a lot of money. I wouldn't recommend any cloud mining sites as these sites are just ponzi sites. Most of them, at least.

But sad to say not all people got a wise decision about this thing because their are still people come invest again and still making hyips as way to earn money online, and their are some others are just brought by peer pressure because they see many people got some earning with the hyips aswell as their are others to are just brought by those stupid referral bunos hungry earners they where attracted because someone  introduce them falsely and offer eternity earnings. And thats the reason why we still see some people got victim by those scambags hyips.

Very well said there as i believe also there is no reliable or legit site operating cloudmining because we all know here that mining hardwares are not profitable so why we bother to look for the best of them? Eh.  Dont tell me I know.... So many are not even mining they just pretend when they really dont own a single mining machine. There are better ways to invest your money. Some of the altcoins can give you a great return. There are also some longer term investments in coins and projects. Just make sure you are going to get enough research done since you don't want to be losing your money.

Ok so I have an investment in stocks with a private stock broker. The return is somewhere near 31%  per annual. This does not sound like a lot maybe to most people here but it is real. It is not some insane 100% in 3 months. That is crazy and is unsastanable in most cases unless it's a short term project you investing in. Rather invest in something legit then trust these strange internet sites. Most of them really make no sense. Unless you can see the mining machines dont bother investing. I'm not saying dont invest in mining I'm just saying be very careful. I think a slower return is much safer then these "here today , gone tomorrow" that have no legal agreements with you.

They are the same. Hashnest is the cloud mining divison of Bitmain. And we all know Hashnest has real mining gear.
What we also now is that Hashnest will not offer you profit, at best you will only lose 10% of your money, instead of 100%.

That's how it is though. These cloud mining and HYIP review sites always have their reviews paid for by the admins of said HYIP, even going as far to try "help" you get half of your referral bonus to you if you refer them. It's not so easy to know who and what to trust.

I think there is no legit cloud mining site these days, tbh. It's better to hold your stake and wait for the price to rise.
Don't be fooled by the unrealistic gains... all the available cloud mining has quite high maintenance fees, and with the increase in the mining difficulty, the gains will be less and less.

I can write some experiences I had and as the investments with BTC are risky (purelly in BTC I mean), cloud mining is also very risky, but the fact is that you will be stucked into contract that has a period to end and so on... Lotta companies has cloud mining and all are vey serious like hashnest or genesis mining (I was very upset with the losses I had but I undestand that the only way to don't take that risk is not doin this kinda business because you can't move your money whenever you want. I have thus far stayed away from cloud mining.  As others have counseled, most of these places are just ponzis and there's no mining to be done.  If I really wanted to mine, I'd invest in the equipment and actually do it, but it's a waste of time.  It's so much more efficient to just use real life earnings to buy bitcoin.  People want to put their money to work, and that's understandable, but these cloud mining opportunities are mostly scams.  Don't do it!  Anyone who's been on bitcointalk for more than a month should know this.

You did not understand what i wrote there (see bold text) I know there was/is a lot of cloud mining scams.
I can give you at least couple of examples where i was fighting with them.
In HashOcean i was registered from their first days. They operate over 1,5 year and they pay until last days - that was the worst for new participants.

My own experience with hashflare.io has been fairly mixed. Before the halving it was quite awsome. Started with buying 100 Mhs and reinvested up to 170-180 Mhs in a matter of months (about 4-5 i think). Then the halving happened and I'm stuck at 200 Mhs (after 4 months now), and the payments doesn't seem to rise with the increased amounts oh Mhs I own. Keep in mind that the only reason that I've been able to double my Mhs is because they have keept lowering the $/Hs of they SHA-plans, because of "lowering their eletrical cost by improving their hardware".

And I have never seen any legit cloud mining. Most of cloud mining on the internet become scammers in less than a year. There are still a few exception like hashflare or genesis-mining. They are a scam one way or another because their business model is flawed. If they were able to profit from mining themselves why offer contracts to people? Why not mine for themselves and take all the profit?
The answer is simple: they can take more money from you than they would be able to mine. You will provide them with a loan, they will have the cash in hand and won't have to wait a year until the miner does its job and if something goes wrong they can always run and you'll be left with nothing.

Good is a relative term. People are satisfied and willing to leave a good review as long as they are getting paid. But the main point of importance is that this has nothing to do with the 'cloud mining' service in question being legit. As long as there is enough fresh money coming in (enough in the way that they will be able to pay out all people and still make profit), everything will run just fine. Just wait for the moment when there isn't enough fresh money coming in anymore -- they'll run or just shut down everything....

More like the reason why this scheme is still existing is because there are still people investing. The HYIP site creators have computer skills like programming. They surely know what they are doing. They have hidden their identity for quite a while and have scammed enough people.. But there are people that got scammed, and just thought "It was because I didn't invest sooner." Sure if you've invested sooner, you could've get your ROI before they ran away but that's not the solution to the problem.

These people only think that they can earn more money or ROI faster if they do have downlines so they keep on promoting HYIP sites. Some really make money from HYIP but mostly don't. I really pity the people that keeps on trying to earn from this type of website.
