Updated Paycon to 1.3 made Paycon.conf file not synching stuck on Block 38031.

I'm thinking the issue might be nodes that are still on the oldest version feeding blocks without checkpoints and stake modifiers. I think we should work with it for now and try to get some more public nodes up for people to connect to.

If anyone would like to add a new Node, I'm offering 500 CON per node that can be added to the list.

All you have to do is run a node on some VPS somewhere and put up the IP address of it for people to connect to. You can host a node in the Cloud for as little as $5 a month and does a lot to help improve the stability of the network.

Where do I add "-reindex" and does Paycon have a bootstrap to build Blocks quick?

you'd need to start the wallet from a dosbox if you're running windows.. And in that dosbox you'd add -reindex to launch the wallet

i dont think there are any bootstrap files yet

Why does anyone think 100% PoS is a good thing?

Who wants money with 100% inflation every year?

Seems like it would have been better to leave it at 50% to me, just my 2c

Who wants money with 100% inflation every year?

Seems like it would have been better to leave it at 50% to me, just my 2c

You would only get 100% at minimum difficulty, every 64X difficulty increase the reward drops by half down to a minimum of 50% (100%, 75%, 62.5%, 56%, 53%, 51.5% etc).

There is a cap of 30 Coins per Block to Stake so the maximum amount per year is limited to 15,768,000 Coins.

The increase in Stake reward is to offset the cap on Blocks and if doing something as radical as changing the whole reward system, it would need to be more rewarding to gain the majority vote. It's less about actually giving a higher percentage per year though and more about encouraging use of smaller Blocks to create a more secure network.

Besides, in about 2 weeks it will be Proof of Stake only so that will take away all that extra POW sell pressure.

I figured I would stop and say hi on the Omega post..

The thing I hate about ICO's is that they burn the Coins by sending them into an unspendable address so it messes up any rich list you make because the top address might be 98% of the Coins. It looks similar to VocalCoin which I lost some money in through the ICO (about $150) and then the Dev started making a bunch of excuses and removed his ID. Basically ended up that the ICO itself really messed it up because you couldn't even fork the Coin if you wanted to so I ended up writing it off as a loss.

I posted there, get ready for a few angry posts lol

Ok I'll look into it and see what I can do for it.

It's quite hard for me to test a lot of the QT stuff, all my ports are blocked by my ISP so I can't connect any wallets so work mainly off the command line.

The update and upcoming POS phase have spurred investors and market insiders to drive up the price over 100% in the past 2 days.  And that's just the calm before the staking storm.
