On first look, this all sounds quite interesting, but then realizing that no payment updates after 2015. Price to buy is 33k sat and on exchange it's only 500 sat, big indicator for pure scam. Then reading old posts and confirm that this is not a good investment choice. Glad to have done my homework.

They havent been selling Amber from their site since May 2016. They did pay dividends for Q1 2016 (it was very low). The promised Q2 was not paid. But I agree that you shouldnt buy Amber.

I think last 2 quarters of 2015 where also low at least the last one was a we pay less now so we can reinvest and pay more next round. As for the dev being online yes seen that before and then he comes with stories that its a server logging his account in without him looking at it etc .. (bullshit)

According to this: http://amber-trade.com/2015/12/14/amber-trade-ltd-has-increased-its-statement-capital-to-5-million/each 20 AmberCoins represents 1 share. Each share is worth 1 GBP. So it means that company must pay for Ambercoins at least 6000 sat. It more than 10 times more than now. I just don't know the procedure to inform the Companies House that are (Amber)shareholders and that statement capital (5kk GBP) must be divided also between them.

"I am no laywer but I guess it could mean we could object and the stocks of Amber will be frozen?"
Sounds that way to me. I highly doubt there is cash in any account or any assets tied to their name, but legally speaking if there were we should be entitled to them. Perhaps someone can track down the right Overchuck in the Ukraine and see if they have an extra $5,000,000 they shouldn't have.

5 000 000 GBP is a statement capital so (as I know) can't be moved so easy and is still in England.

Apart from the funds getting retrieved (which I doubt will happen). We got a solid case here (rightfull debtors), so we could give them a hard time just closing this venture away and running away with the money that easily. They probably do have funds (somewhere) they are staking like crazy from what i last saw. Then they renewed the explorer. In the end they may figure out that it's better to pay their investors their dividends. I don't think that Olga is the real owner though. It sounds like just a puppy so the real scammers can hide.

Are u high ? Do you think for one second there is anything of value in that shell ? If that was true they wouldn't be letting it go to the crown that's for sure. Anything that has any value has long since disappeared together with the so called "Dev".

This is the moment I have been waiting for since the inception of amber, and finally I can confess to my own satisfaction that Im glad to see amber going bust. Paper states that all assets and ownership rights get transferred to UK government lolol MI6 must deliver an official statement or put up a warning in this thread that amber blockchain belongs to UK royal family from now on.

Sorry to read the bad news here. I hope no one was burned too much. I dumped all my holdings a while ago when they lied about dividends but I've been through what some of you are going through too.
There is a lesson in all of this. Crypto is not regulated. To some, not being centralized is a good thing. To me, this has always been a problem. Its too easy to perpetrate a coin scam and get away with it.
You are not going to get any of your coins or earnings back. Its gone, because it never was. The only value any coin has is the demand for that coin. But there is no real value to the coin. Even AMBER which was supposedly backed by real amber. It was bull spit.
My advice is NEVER get too hung up on any coin no matter how good it looks. ALWAYS be ready to sell with no regrets. Bewares of something that sounds too good to be true. You can tell the strength of a coin by its market. Small market = weak coin.
When all is said and done there will be only a few winners left standing in the Crypto coin world. AMBER was never going to be one of them.
You are not alone. There are lots of scams in this economy of false value. I was burned by Cryptsy. I am still in crypto coins but I am even more vigilant. I will not get burned again.
My motto. 'Follow the profitability. Mine, Sell. Cash Out. Repeat."
Good luck everyone!

Ah pity, I really liked AMBER. Over time, it became a dear cash cow with frequent buying and selling. I probably should dump my remaining Amber coins, but I won't. Not really sure why, it does not really look like a recovery is likely at all, but at the moment I am not prepared to sell.

Not really sure why, it does not really look like a recovery is likely at all, but at the moment I am not prepared to sell. Same here(and same as can be said with my Rimbit). The reason is, many of us paid 10+ cents an Amber. Getting a quarter of a cent(or less) out of them is such a loss our brains would just as soon get nothing out of them and hold on to their imaginary value. Same mentality applies to stockbrokers watching a company trading all the way down to zero, holding on to worthless baseball cards we once spent money on, etc. We tend to be wired in such a way that we'd rather give something away or hold on to it forever than accept such a negative investment.
