My experience is that one generally doesn't do what one plans when prices rise so much
Wait and watch and hope sanity prevails over greed

I held a few shares of my employer. They rose from 35 in 1993 to 1080 during the dotcom boom of 2000. I didn't sell them because I was an insider and said "If 1080 has come without much business growth I will wait for 2000 and sell at that time". The price obviously fell down and the next opportunity I got to get rid of all my shares was in the Bull market peak of 2008 but the best price I could get was 670.

So I think I will not wait for 1000 to cross.

I am not sure, what I would do, but I would definitely not exchange for fiat.
If it seems like a bubble, I might try to sell some BTC, just to buy in again when the price drops, but I am not sure, if I really should take that risk, since I am not an expert on reading the market.

My vision is, that I will be able to buy stuff with the BTC, I have now.
Everybody who sells his BTC so he can put his fiat into a bank account, didn't get the whole idea behind Bitcoin.
Sure, I would understand, if someone exchanges to fiat, to buy something, since you still can not buy everything with BTC and I might even do that, too.

The last time it it $1K, I didn't sell any of my coins. I thought it might go all the way up to $10K. It was such a shitty decision. However, if it hits the $1K mark once again, I am offloading half of my coins.  Grin

May I ask how many half is?Cheesy

Just sell it, and buy a supercar, to make the life better.

i think btc will be most valuable when its close to the 21 millionth coin being mined.

That will be after 130 years. You are free to wait for that long Wink

Actually, most coins will be mined in next 20 years.

Most of you seem to not know how this works.

As you can see here, in 10 years most of the coins will have been mined already, from 2025 to 2140 or something, the mined coins will be minimum, which means, if btc is still around and adoption happened, 1 BTC should be really fucking high, theres no other way for BTC to survive. So yeah, im holding, what else I have to lose? I havent got many BTC anyway.

When, not if. Changes nothing for me personally, I'm holding out for that 300k bitcoin, AKA the point at which fiat murder-papers are removed from the goods-exchange equation entirely.

Depends how long it takes to get to $1000. Slowl over time of shoots up? If it shoots up I'd likely sell a couple but keep holding for when it gets to 10k  Grin.
