There isn't a new wallet or anything that has to be downloaded for CBX lately is there?

We are working on 2.4.0 which will make CBX staking even more lucrative. Sorry I have been promising it for a long time; but it's coming. Stay tuned!
Are you increasing the POS percentage?

Yes and No. It was decided right at the beginning of CBX that inflation of CBX was to remain exactly at a healthy and low 2%, and we have never changed our stance about this since!

We have noticed however, that since we put PoSP in place, the algorithm has been creating less CBX each day than the projected yearly 2% https://chainz.cryptoid.info/cbx/#!overview. While it is nice to have low inflation, too low inflation also has the major disadvantage of reducing global interest in the coin, which is not helping CBX. So this tweak will bring the global inflation of CBX closer to 2%, while still not exceeding it.

Also, since the creation of CBX, transfer fees (tx fees) have been destroyed, in an attempt to needlessly further control inflation. We recently have decided to distribute these tx fees instead, in an attempt to making the PoSP algorithm even more rewarding while not making CBX inflation go over the 2%.
Thats good news for the holders.Any ETA of the new client?
In one or two weeks I hope.
I have been delayed by personnal problem and by issues on my test server so it took a bit more time than expected, sorry about that

Good news Alex, thanks! Glad things are settling down for you, we all have those times where life just piles too much on our plates and it is a great relief as things clear up.

PoSP is a bit of a memory intensive staking algorithm - please note that PoSP is not processor intensive, however. As for the crashing issue you describe, perhaps can you send the error log file to Alex4J please, so we can see what is going on with the Vault in your system?

Nice Alex, it seems we now have a new wallet for the hardfork. Can you give some instructions on how to do it for those who are running the wallets from a VPS?

Thanks

New CBX Vault 2.4.1 - Mandatory update!

Download site for Windows, Mac OS and Linux: http://212.47.243.58/cbx-2.4/
Github archive for this new version: Vault 2.4.1 Github

This is a big day for the CBX community and network; we are happy to announce the Vault version 2.4.1. This Vault is programmed to be ready for the upcoming CBX hard fork which will take place at block 1 584 000, about 5 days from now (August 7th, 2016), this is why updating to this Vault is mandatory.

These are the improvements made to the Vault in version 2.4.1

1- Attribution of tx fees to PoSP block winner
2- Readjustment of PoSP gains, so we are closer to 2% yearly growth objective
3- Fix for the change address issue, where people had to make frequent wallet.dat backups, to prevent from losing coin
4- Staking Green Light indicator, to show your Vault is indeed staking
5- New Splash Screen that includes new logo which will match upcoming project

It depends on the Operating System installed, but usually the documentation on the Github is enough to compile and run it:

Well, this one will make it noisy for CBX. Time to get the coins while they're cheap.

Good afternoon, Bullionaires!

A bit provocatively, I was calling the BTC block halving event a minor event, and it seems time is proving me right: I was seeing the BTC price remaining flat or with a slight increase. Point is, the reduction in the BTC offer caused by the halving does not in any way help with the fundamental problems that the Bitcoin has. The situation plaguing BTC can be resolved in time, but it could take a long time, and it is still doubtful BTC's problems will ever be resolved.  You won't see exciting returns on BTC anytime soon. We can make a lot more return on altcoins such as CBX. But we will have to stay focused.

As we were working on version 2.4.0 and some other things, we have been pretty quiet lately; but you can expect to see a lot more action coming from us very soon. As with any software development project, delivery dates are always difficult to establish, but we have always delivered.

CBX runs off of a fork derived from the original bitcoind instruction set, which is starting to show its limitations now, for CBX and BTC alike.  As you know CBX never stays behind! We will announce soon the roadmap to fully integrate CBX to a full blown Crypto 2.0 system.

I know we all have many coins of many different types, hoping to fall on the lucky number - but I think we are not helping ourselves by doing this. Let's focus on CBX, people will notice and we will all be rewarded generously for it. Together, Bullionnaires, let's all achieve success...

Focus on CBX!

550-1000 CBX almost guarantees you more than one PoSP staking gains per day... at today's low price I think it's a reachable goal for starters.
