A quick Sunday update (although posted Monday morning London time). Firstly the Gleam / Bitz Twitter giveaway competition ended on Saturday and was a modest sucess. A few fraudsters entered but also a few people new to Bitz and I have sent out some of the winnings. I also launched a further ReTweet competition but nobody is interested so far. We'll see what happens. Bitz has been listed at Bleutrade: https://bleutrade.com/exchange/BITZ/BTC so that makes 5 active exchanges. I have been trying to negotiate with Bittrex but they always say the same, "we don't comment on adding new coins" so I guess they will not settle for anything less than 3 BTC. So, we have 3 pledges so far totalling 0.9 BTC so we will see for another week how it progresses. On the development side; we are working to review the staking mechanism to explorer the possibility of making it fairer. We'll get back to that. Wait and see ...

So, I stopped the voting for the preferred exchange: It is clear that out of the people that voted Bittrex is the preferred exchange. I will keep working to get Bitz on Bittrex...

Good work dev. Nice to see Bitz on another exchange.
When you say change staking, do you mean the percentage?
If yes, what's the problem with the present amount?
Does the percentage somehow devalue Bitz?
How can it be fairer?
If the percentage is not high enough, would there be less open wallets?
Why not leave it as it is for now unit and if Bitz becomes more established.

What is happening now is that only about 50% of all Bitz are staking. The idea behind the staking is that it provides an incentive to run a node to support the network. The way the 10% of staking amount works may not be fair. The way it is now means that large Bitz holders get a bigger reward. Someone holding 50,000 Bitz get a much larger reward than someone holding 1000 Bitz but they both support the network in exactly the same way by running a single node. So, what if we take the amount of Bitz out of the equation and reward people for running a node and not by the amount of Bitz held. That would be fairer. This would provide less of an incentive to hold a large balance of Bitz for the accumulative stake reward and rather encourage people to spend Bitz.

That you change totally the game and new member will have more avantage than older who stacking since 6months . I like the idea. Maybe do a reward with the calculation of a node online by day/hour like dat it will be more fair.

ONE or TWO GUYs are building about 120k wall on Bittrex (maybe dev?). Dude, why are you destroying the market first day? Do you wanna cheap coins or what? Without your stupid walls the price could be 3000sat already. I hope you are just trying to get some cheap coins and then you will remove your walls. Otherwise you are just stupid, becouse this is not how to sell your coins for profit (nobody wanna buy if there is a 120k sellwall).
I've got no Bitz for sale on Bittrex or anywhere else, it's someone else not associated with me.... ED: I don't see any wall

ED: I don't see any wall Ok, i am not saying it is you....but almost all the sell orders are probably from 1 or 2 guys....So somebody probably owns more than 120k coins. Check the distribution on Bittrex. There is about 120k coins in sell orders from 1,5k-10k....but top1 wallet has 63k, top2 41k, top3 24k....So it must be 1 or 2 guys who has about 120k in several wallets and building a big walls ir range from 1,5k-10k. Maybe so, I don't know, I don't think it matters in the long run. I know some people are sitting on some Bitz balances and they want to dump it, fine, it will aid to spread Bitz ownership and over time the price will stabilise and slowly increase. There is only about 6-7 % of the total supply on offer. We can only wait and see for a few days.

This coins is still so cheap even after getting on bittrex.
How many coins would be a good amount if I was going to rent a $5 a month server to run a BITZ node and stake coins? I would want to make $10 a month from selling all the coins I receive from staking.

CAN EVERYONE UPDATE TO 1.1.0 PLEASE
There are still someone using the version 1.0.1 wallet. It seems this has the potential to cause problems. Nothing to worry about, but please update to 1.1.0 if you are using 1.0.1
ED:
Please add this node to bitz.conf addnode=192.64.115.186

Hey bags, dev is about to change the staking rewards scheme. Make sure to take into account the situation above. Basically I want to rent a server, stake coins by securing the network and make money. That seems fair to me. I doubt it's possible for me to make money from a staking node right now but if the price of this coin goes up a bit more then it should work out. I remember the devs had lots of great ideas for integration with 3rd party apps once they got access to the bittrex API. Getting into these third-party apps will make this coin a sustainable staking coin for the miners.
