I have a question about POS rewards. The op says: "max reward is 3, POS starts at 100% and decreases"
My question is how often does the reward decrease? At what rate each decrease? 1%? 10%?
Op says max block reward is 3 coins. What would be the max block size I would use in coin control to avoid going over the 3 coin reward?
Thanks Vegas
POS rewards are cut in half every time the POS difficulty multiplies by 64, if that makes sense. For the optimal block size, there is a calculator in-wallet.

What you are saying is there will be 5,328 coins mined per day. However, you will instantly give 6M coins to old holders. I think that will destroy the market because those 6M coins will be dumped by holders to get their money out with the creation of a new market. You shouldn't be giving out any coins for free. CPU mining will be difficult and miners will get very few coins, yet the 6M will flood the market. There will be very little incentive to mine and there will be no scarcity in the coins mined due to the 6M instant supply. It will take CPU miners 3 years to mine 6M coins at least to be equal to the coins you want to give away.
I see now on Bittrex that Greencoin seems to be in distress close to 1 sat with a long list of sell orders. I think that the holders with their money in Greencoin will want to take what they can and get out of the Green stuff at the first chance, meaning when a market is created for GREX and they have exchanged their GRE for GREX.

it is not 1-1, it is 166 - 1. That is how the dev gets from 1Bn to 6M.

Shame that I'll miss the start, but I may mine this if it's indeed CPU only. I like the current pools in the OP

Assuming the X launch is successful the old coin will simply not be supported by the Foundation, however, it will probably continue to exist so you are free to mine as long as you like, and of course any coins generated up to block 500,000 can be traded for GREX at 167 to 1.

We should all alert our respective GRE pools of the coming change.... I mine at simplemulti with a GRE payout.... They have pools for X11 and such... will GREX also be merge minable?

I know it is short notice now, but I added the coin to the calendar but I'm not seeing it show up: it's been held for admin validation: https://www.altcoincalendar.info/calendar
