Whats the current player field at Seals? Wondering if its worth getting a pc or not. Recall about 90-120 players online and usually 18 playing above the micro table.

There's really nobody playing above a micro level at this point (in USD conversion).  There are a bunch of bumhunters that just table camp all day but that's not really relevant.  The highest game I've seen running ever in ~2 weeks is 3/6nl and that was one half filled table once.  OFC/p runs at decent levels tho.

That was my major beef with the site, optics of sleazy play. Would catch people bragging about colluding. Sit and watch chat and realize they would be chatting on other platforms. Most likely reason Seals wont surge in the future.

I'm sure there are people multi-accounting as well, though I'm not sure how to stop that, really, and that's even more of an issue than just colluding.

If there is multi account there. Why admin still didnt fix this issue? I think this site is old enough and admin take control of it very long time but there is still multi account? This doesnt make any sense

Anyone managed to run SWC on Wine yet?

It opens for me, "just" doesn't connect (SSL problem or something?) I am getting errors that seem pretty common according to Google. But I don't have the knowledge nor time to try to fix them.

Same here, then I noticed the server it connects to has an expired certificate, maybe
windows just connects despite this and wine is more strict? I emailed them about it some time ago,
but seems they haven't found the time to replace it with a correct cert.

Quote
% openssl s_client -connect 95.xxx.xx.xxx:989
CONNECTED(00000003)
depth=3 C = SE, O = AddTrust AB, OU = AddTrust External TTP Network, CN = AddTrust External CA Root
verify return:1
depth=2 C = GB, ST = Greater Manchester, L = Salford, O = COMODO CA Limited, CN = COMODO RSA Certification Authority
verify return:1
depth=1 C = GB, ST = Greater Manchester, L = Salford, O = COMODO CA Limited, CN = COMODO RSA Domain Validation Secure Server CA
verify return:1
depth=0 OU = Domain Control Validated, OU = Free SSL, CN = www.swcpoker.eu
verify error:num=10:certificate has expired
notAfter=Jun  1 23:59:59 2015 GMT
verify return:1
depth=0 OU = Domain Control Validated, OU = Free SSL, CN = www.swcpoker.eu
notAfter=Jun  1 23:59:59 2015 GMT
verify return:1

I actually get a different message  :p Seems like I can connect but do get error/warning:

Code:
Verify return code: 19 (self signed certificate in certificate chain)

Maybe post the actual errors.  I quit using wine a few years ago because it was too much of a hassle.  However, if you post the errors here, you might have some success solving them as getting seals to work on wine would be really useful for a large number of people, I think.
There are actually a lot of "fixme" errros, but I *think* these are the only relevant ones (because the client loads fine, just no connection):

Code:
p11-kit: couldn't load module: /usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/pkcs11/gnome-keyring-pkcs11.so: /usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/pkcs11/gnome-keyring-pkcs11.so: wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS64

err:secur32:schan_DecryptMessage Returning 80090304

The p11-kit error was different, but I did some extra install (gnome-keyring, libp11-kit-gnome-keyring, etc) and copy file for that already. Seems I still have the wrong "gnome-keyring-pkcs11.so" file though. But most Google results of that error dates from 2011/2012 and generally they say it should be fixed in latest wine versions Sad (I am running 2-day old wine 1.7.50) Also I think -that- is not the crucial error, but something with the actual SSL messages. If I debug secur32 I obviously get much more details, but not a clear point where it failed... just "trace:secur32:schan_InitializeSecurityContextW  Expected at least .. bytes, but buffer only contains .. bytes."

Would be awesome if we can get it fixed. IMHO I think SWC could even considering putting a bounty for it up. If someone makes an easy clear guide to get it working on Linux/Wine, it must have some value for SWC too. (or clear explanation why SWC needs to make some changes, idk)

I'm definitely not an expert, so this may be naive advice or obvious, but most of the time when I've had wrong ELF format stuff going on it was due to executable types, ie 64 bit vs 32 bit.  Could it be that if you installed the 32 bit versions of the p11-kit so that you'd fix that issue.  Just a thought.

Anyway, I realize that the ssl error is apparrantely the more critical issue.  Maybe I'll go ahead and reinstall WINE and see if I can reproduce your error if I'm up late tonight.  I'll post again if I do so and find anything intersting.

please write support@swcpoker.eu for reimbursement of your tournament buyin.

the SSL certificate has been fixed, you visited the site in a brief window in which we were in process of rebuilding the infrastructure and hadn't put our proper SSL cert on it yet. everything is secure and fine.

Apologies for the recent connectivity issues. Anyone affected can write support@swcpoker.eu for a refund-- we have scaled up our infrastructure footprint and increased the geographic span of our server base to mitigate future attacks.

I'm looking to "rent" a high (150k+) krill account to play the 20k and 150k krillrolls next Sunday.  I'm a very successful tournament player, up over 3 coins in profit in August alone playing MTTs no higher than the 50 chip late night smooth and placing 1st/3rd/1st/2nd in the last four nlhe 5k krillrolls.  The problem is, as an MTT player I get barely any krill...it took me several months and a bunch of cash game playing just to get to 5k.  So, if you are a cash game player or aren't going to be around for the tournaments this Sunday, this is a win/win.

My offer:

If you have a 150k+ krill account I can use, I'll split the profits from all the krillrolls on Sunday (5k, 20k, and 150k) 50/50.  I'll just transfer myself half after the last one finishes.
If you have a 20k+ krill account I can use, I'll split the profits from the 20k krillroll 50/50 and give you 25% of my profits from the 5k krillroll.
Obviously I'm only looking for one account to play on, and a 150k+ account would take precedence over a 20k+ account.

Do I expect you to blindly trust me?  Well that would be nice (and I do have a history of successful chops), but honestly pretty silly.  So to set your mind at ease, I of course am willing to escrow an amount of BTC equal to the fair market value of your account.  When everything goes smoothly and you get your account back and half of the profits Sunday evening the escrow refunds my money.

I emailed SWC support asking if this was allowed and was told yes, so everything is on the level there.  If this sounds like something you are interested in doing, contact me by Sat evening at the latest so we can iron everything out.  If I find an account to rent, I'll edit this post so if you are reading this, I'm still looking.

How much is the fair market value for accounts? How much an account with 5K, 10K, 20K krill is worth?

It sounds to me like the "up-front" portion goes to the escrow.  I wasn't clear on how much profits have to be paid back before escrow releases back to the renter.  My account is low krill and I can't even log on yet (WINDOZE!) so I'm not in the running.  But it does seem like an interesting deal for someone with the account to rent.
