Why would someone with the power to detect idiots give that up? The BFL Hoax has become so large now that they have had to hire a Chief Operating Officer. I predict that by the end of the year they will be delivering products just to keep up the charade.[/b]
Hoax? You do realize that many people have already received product for some time now, right? BFL must be a hoax. The two mini-rigs that I've been operating for the last month must be vaporware... I bet the times I spoke to Sonny on the phone, it was actually just a well-designed bot with a human-like voice. How they programmed in so many life-like responses is beyond me. BFL is such a well-designed hoax that I won't even realize it until after I've made back my investment and a considerable profit. What a fool I've been... @sgravina: Since you probably missed it, this was a sarcastic post. However, if your post was itself sarcastic, I apologize.

They have been mistaken, yes, but they have not been willfully or intentionally dishonest.
How many accounts do you have here @ bitcointalk ?
Two, now. This one and Inaba. Have you ever been asked to create more than these two accounts by any employee of BFL? I'm not asking if you have, I'm asking if you were asked to.

If you're searching these lines for a point, you've probably missed it. There was never anything there in the first place.

I'm still waiting for someone with proper reputation on the forums to actually show me a photo of a rig he received. Other that that, OK.

I personally do not have a mini rig. I have seen pictures from other users on the forum that I know personally and they did supply me with pics of their mini rigs. Looks pretty awesome if you ask me.

Explain to me why BFL buys back its FPGA products for 100% of the cost? What is this business's? If you will soon be ASIC, the FPGA will be useless. I think BFL is buying back its FPGA in order to sell them to those who are on the waiting list for the FPGA. Unthinking that BFL makes new FPGA devices. When we see a prototype ASIC device? Only one month before the start of a ASIC, BFL should already be a prototype. Show people that ASIC is and it works. Then I can also pay money.

from my understanding, the ASIC is an upgrade to the FPGA product. So your essentially getting the same unit back with an upgraded chip.

BFL is allowing the trade in for a couple reasons. - To keep sales of current FPGA equipment going as new FPGA customers can still make upgrade requests on their new FPGA equipment.
- To allow existing customers to have an upgrade path and not feel totally disheartened about ASIC as it will be much faster than FPGA.
- To allow for a secondary market if customers do not want to upgrade where they can selling their equipment for full price or greater.

If all buyers will return FPGA devices, it means that BFL has nothing gained with FPGA business. The ASIC device is twice the price of the FPGA device. Thus BFL have made the same amount of money out of you again when you upgrade (or more correctly, BFL have ensured you will pay them again since you must upgrade) What you end up with if ASIC is released, is effectively what you had when you got the FPGA device, a device that hashes and produces about the same number of BTC as it does currently - but you have now paid them double This is where the BFL marketing is working well, everyone who has BFL FPGA devices is paying them again (already in advance) the same amount of money for ASIC devices, so they can produce the same number of BTC they are already

More important for me to see a working prototype. In developing of the new chip design is a very high percentage of errors.
