It is functioning correctly.  Sorry that it doesnt let you rape it so easily like with other coins  Grin

Difficulty was 12900 now is arround 12600 so retargeting is working and I was wrong  Roll Eyes
The difficulty changes in a way that prevents insta-mine attacks. The best an attacker can do is reduce the block time to 80 seconds which in the target range. That said, when the difficulty is rising the money supply grows more, when the difficulty is dropping the money supply grows less. Proof-of-Work retargeting occurs for every Proof-of-Work block, Proof-of-Stake blocks are excluded from Proof-of-Work retargeting. Therefore block retargeting is "every block" based on "block type" using a ~one week window. The attacker would have to stay gone longer than it would be worth if he were to just stay and mine normally. Cool

Thank you for your support.

So, is anybody else really curious about who the developer of this coin might be?  Seems like he could be pretty awesome.

Coincidence that Bitcoin started rising when VanillaCoin was listed on exchanges Wink and VNL has Capital to throw at the coin whenever its investors want.

I smell a Satoshi Clone from the future (john-connor) it could very well be Satoshi but under a different pseudonym.

Why would enyone sell when breakeven mining cost without super/ultra/turbo optimized miner is between 7k and 8k sat.
There are lot of coins on sale side up to that price.

How does staking work?  Is there something I need to configure in the wallet, or if it's open is it staking?
