I hope sfards makes some new miners soon before the LTC hashrate goes into the shitter.

I hear that, need something cheaper to keep the hashrate up on these coins.

Hashrate barely dropped 15% post halving, and its already stabilized...I was hoping for at least a 20-30% drop...

There is a LOT of old gear people still run.  I cannot explain it but the hashra/other same chip ones.   A surprising amount are still being run.    Maybe a few months after having we will see a change on this I'm not sure.

This thread has kinda gone offtopic to much.  Is there any news from SFards on release of "next" batch?   Or price of that batch?

I guess that is good they emailed back today.  I still would like to scrypt mine if price is right.

I really hope it's fair priced and direct from them. I would rather not go through reseller and have an instant jacked up price.

heh you and me both brother..I want the hashrate to drop more as well but old machines..hard to turn them off...again
the asic machine shut off is hard to break on any machine scrypt or sha 256
I ran my 560gh Jupiter 6 weeks past making any profit out of stubbornness and
watched BTC tank in price as a result (yep it was me I jinx'd it) Smiley

So it may go down some more but it will take a month or to before the 'denial' sinks in imho......then winter is coming in the USA so you can always tell the wife
'hey honey it is a space heater' Smiley Winter is coming so maybe you could push the whole 'terrible concept' of not being able to 'home mine' anymore into the future
by more then a few months?

(1 Titan and 1 Jupiter running in my MN basement last year knocked my Gas Budget plan down exactly to the penny (almost) 35 bucks ..there ya go Smiley

It's an addiction man, many of us get it.

Thankfully I was able to sell off a lot of my hardware before it became completely useless although there are still a few I hold on to just for old times sake.

really hard to just quit.

I have 2 s-7's on order.  I justify that I have an idea to make the run at .18 watts a gh quietly and I owe the community to show the idea in a long detailed thread.

I almost would be in your boat ..but you obviously drank more of the kool aid then myself ..then again I have 13c kwh electric...that kinda damps my gambling addiction
these days on an s7 or anything else not needed as a 'space heater' for that matter

I did get a bitseed v2 bitcoin node and a sidehack (i think it is) 8 gh usb stick for 25 bucks with 6 bucks shipping (or two in my case for 56 bucks) just to have SOME
blinky lights and feeling I'm contributing when my titan(s) go to 'doorstop status' like my 'gravity assist' KNC 550gh Jupiter unit Smiley

NOW IF SFARDS would get their frigging act together and sell these units where you could at least see the HORIZON of ROI even if you could never get to that mirage
..denial would prompt me to get one...but without more kool aid drinking and delusional episodes....I think I'm out of home mining except for the blinky LCD withdrawl
devices I mentioned previously

(damn it ..even on the 8gb 25 buck usb sidehack usb stick I only make 11 bucks a year w/o elec and w/o the purchase price lol Smiley ..whatever gets me thru the shutting off
of the Titan(s) someday I guess Smiley

I agree it's really hard to stop.  I think I will always have a miner or two.  Can't imagine not mining.

Some I see going to "lotto" mining.  But I predict for many like me just doing lotto mining eventually just to keep mining.  But i fear I am not going to be able to stop mining with a bigger machine.

The comments are too funny.Mining is indeed an addictive  but expensive hobby. Time to start a counseling/therapy/rehab  business for miners. Would anyone be interested in such a service ? haha

well for flashy lights and at least the ability to feel I'm contributing something to the btc and or maybe also the ltc universe..I plan to run a couple BTC and LTC nodes.

the tiny sidehack 16gh or so (overclocked) usb miner for 25 bucks plus 6 bucks shipping *don't roi worth a damn but it is cute*

now if ONLY SFARDS would make some kind of PURE SCRYPT chip home miner of some modest note that would help taper off the *shakes*

but looks likely the only way I'll get any kind of SFARDS miner in the future is used someday far in the future at these prices

(and likely that will only be if it happens to be the right price at the right time ie winter for use in my basement shop as a space heater
hey I'm in denial anything to get me a miner someday again) Smiley

13c kwh electric is the main limiting factor (I know some who have 2c kwh elec in Canada...(grrrrrrr....Canadians....grrrrrrr....) so they don't  have these issues (yet) Smiley

I am hopefull they will eventually release either the product to regular  customers, or chips.  Someone spent some good money to develop chips.  Normally you like having customers.  So even if a 3rd party bought chips and made something I would be happy.  I just want to scrypt mine again.

Only reason they would not want to is if they see no one else is spending dev on scrypt.  They could start their own data center's and control much of scrypt.  Just the competition they have is old chips.  So this is a viable option aswell.

Maybe there is a chance we'll see these on the secondary market when they get closer to ROI on their machines. It doesn't seem like they will release new ones retail at this point. My A2 is still turned off in the garage after the halving and it makes me sad.

My advice is to list it and get a little money out of it whall it's still wanted.  It's surprisingly was kinda the king of scrypt for a long time.

I hope you also got ROI.  Depending on when you bought it the price dropped so dang quick on those.  Was amazing to watch.

They have either a big customer or are mining on their own I think.  I am not sure which but it's odd for a product to come out and need only 5 units to select resellers.

I wonder if eventually they will sell them though.  They got the end of ltc having so maybe who ever owns them they will sell and they call it batch 2.  I just hope price goes down with ltc having.

Hey plenty of collectors out there, seriously though if using it for paper weights and no attachment to it toss on the marketplace, I am sure you will get a buy.
If you have hardware sitting around you're mistake was hanging on to it for too long, you should sell off your hardware after using if for six to eight months or a year at max, then use the process to buy new shit

I dont have any of my sp30s, sp20s from last year
