Just found out about Bytecent from a Steemit Post.  Wink

I have just a couple of questions:

1) Why is BYC not open source like Bitcoin?

2) For the shopping rewards platform. . . when is that estimated to be done (as in what quarter, as there is no roadmap)?

3) Is there any ongoing marketing campaign to get BYC out there? I mean if not for that Steemit post, I wouldn't know about it.

4) Why is the supply so little? For a rewards program, I was expecting something in the billion supply mark. Although I do understand that the low supply will mean that. . . it will be worth more in terms of dollar value in the future.

To: NPFC. Instead of posting FUD here find another coin that satisfies your needs. Your posts are not constructive.

These questions have been answered numerous times. If you still do not find the answers please post your question(s) here: http://byctalk.com/

Well that was helpful. . . what use would it be to post it twice?

1. Everything you asked has been asked and answered several times on this thread.

2. BYCTalk is now the main forum. New users are directed to BYCTalk not BitcoinTalk, so post your questions there.

Hello everyone!

Today for the first time Bytecent reached a market cap of $902,159, congrats everyone!

Also, do not forget to join the new Bytecent forum: http://byctalk.com/

The new forum is SPAM free, and I will be answering questions and posting updates there first.

Best,
Christopher

Congratulations! I can ask questions in the forum to know some things about BYC.

Hi Guys.

Do you still need proof of bytecent to mine long periods or has that been removed now? My wallet says 0? I fancy getting back on the mining train?

Thanks

Hi Chris,

I hope all is well! POB is now 1, but in the next version of Bytecent it will be removed completely. You will still be required to enter the code before mining, but after that you will be able to mine forever without having any Bytecent in your wallet.

In the future please use the official forum: byctalk.com

Best,
Christopher

I've been following Bytecent for a long time and I think it should be in better places. We can do something together and work for Bytecent. I sent you a message, my friend.

Hi Chris,
Will Bytecent keep the same algorithm for mining or are you planning to change to some masternode fork (Stratis, Dash)?
Some old coins are changing to that and they are doing it very well. (I am ready for this  Grin)

It's called bytecoin wallet and the site is bytecoin.org

I know this sounds extremely stupid but all the comments on Google play said that the name was wrong and it should be BYC.

So it appears that wallet is not yours.  Or bytecoin either.

Sorry for the confusion .

I know I have been tight lipped about what we are doing, but that is because of legal reasons. Once I am legally able to reveal what we have been up to, the current price will seem like peanuts. Our growth has been slow but steady, and if you were here from the beginning you know our initial market cap was approximately $35,000. Stick around, we are just getting started.

Is it possible to update the coinmarket entry for this coin with the correct website forum link? It goes to a dead page currently.

Also is there a max no. of coins? Or no cap but yearly inflation for miners?

Approximately 525,600 coins mined per year for a total of 50 years. I will contact coinmarket.
