Why does pitch need to be in the blockchain. -

First off: If you were a marketing agency in the early 1990’s using traditional physical media for promotion and you saw the internet coming out, and knew the power that it would hold... Would you stay doing traditional media while a much more possibly powerful outlet was introduced to the world? Many people missed the boat to not looking far enough ahead. Blockchain is pretty similar. As a futurist, I see a very bright future for Blockchain/crypto/tokens and decentralization for the world.

-ICO’s and Token sales are having issues with illegitimate and unethical companies with no value that are launching on the blockchain. Our platform will not only vet them through our accredited investors and experts grilling them live but we also have something called information mining which will allow regular people to “mine” (contribute) information about these ICO’s and token sales for “rewards” via based token compensation.

-Also be mindful at the growth and speed that these ICO’s are launching, they recently passed early stage venture capital and are growing exponentially. We are going to use a wide variety of marketing methods with PITCH. We are working on forming some strategic partnerships. As well we have some knowledgeable advisors that are working with us to get PITCH in front of a highly targeted audience. PITCH has a lot of team members that are considered marketing experts of their field, such as Ben Malol who is widely known for his Facebook marketing strategies. Multiple articles about PITCH have been written on reputable publications. That seems like a really good plan. I like that you have a plan to compensate users who are contributing to the system so they can keep earning tokens. That's really smart and I also don't think there would be any issues getting your token on exchanges either.

We want to make sure we are providing incentives to our users to help us in vetting and researching the projects on our platform.

Is there any sort of time frame on a web app version? I see the part that says 12 months for Android.

DApp v1 will be released first as a web platform, we have it set on our timeline for 8 months after our February 28th launch.

What are the most complicated features that need to be implemented for the apps? Will the code be open source or publicly available on Github?

Coming from a person who invests for a living, I think this is a really good idea. Is the working prototype that you mentioned available to the public? If so, how many users do you guys have testing out that version?

The most exciting and complicated feature we are working on is implementing an airswap that lets you seamlessly exchange tokens for other tokens on our platform. Making it easy for audience members to trade their PITCH tokens for the tokens being offered by the startup. We do not yet have this implemented on our current beta version.

The code will be open source and available on github. Our smart contracts are currently available on github as well.

The beta app is available on the IOS platform and is open to the public. We have well over 1,000 downloads for the beta app, and many people have had many people PITCH on the platform.

There will be a heavy redesign happening in the next few months and we will be rolling out a web and android based application.

We were at the San Francisco Blockchain Connect Conference as individuals (not with a booth, or as speakers). We have a few events lined up in the next months. We are looking into the NAC3 conference as well as another event in San Francisco. We will post more as soon as details have been finalized!

Yes all PITCH users need to pass KYC. We are going to be adding more security features and integration with Google authenticator will be in the works. Security is our highest priority for PITCH users.

In the future version of the app, entrepreneurs who secure funding for their projects, will be paid using PITCH tokens, and will be able to have funds / tokens sent directly to their eth address from/through the platform. Similar to receiving other forms of cryptocurrency, the entrepreneur can then choose to convert the token to an alternate form of currency of their choice.

Audience members will still be able to participate in the pitch by asking questions, offering feedback etc, only they won't be able to invest in such projects.

We don’t think that a central entity should have the ability to censor or favor projects that seek capital. It’s important that anyone, from anywhere, with any idea, has the opportunity to present their idea to a community that can support them.
One advantage of decentralization for the platform is that it will exist outside of control of one jurisdiction.
In terms of UX, we intend to hide decentralization as much as possible, instead focusing on creating a great user experience.

I agree that people shouldn't be censored by a small ruling authority because that opens the door for abuse. But what if it's an obvious Ponzi scheme like Bitconnect?

The token sale is being conducted in 8 rounds, each round ends when tokens allocated to that round are sold out. Our token sale should be about 45-60 days long, but can end sooner than that if tokens sell out.

Check out page 18 of the whitepaper. I think it might be what you are looking for. Basically, this is my understanding of the reward system (TL;DR and also, feel free to correct me if I have some information wrong. It's just my interpretation of what I read in the whitepaper.):
There are going to be experts that provide useful analysis and investigation of entrepreneur token sales by going live in the PITCH. Having these expert contributors will provide a better sample of projects on PITCH. But, the reality is, no one is going to do that job for free. Because of the need to compensate these experts, there will be a pool of tokens that are set aside to be distributed to these contributors over time. There will also be a reward for individuals who provide useful commentary.

As of right now the details on how many PITCH tokens it will cost to PITCH is still being worked out.

There is no minimum purchase amount! :) Remember this is not an investment but simply purchasing tokens to be used on our platform.

It will end as soon as the tokens allocated for round one sell out! We expect it to end within the next week :)

So, how do we decipher who is in it for the long run and those that abide by shiny object syndrome and will not last?

THOSE IN IT FOR THE SHORT RUN:

Some of these people may not even know it yet but they will not last long.

These are the ones that have been bouncing from idea to idea, venture to venture, company to company, and the next “get rich money scheme”.

Being in a variety of industries in my vast experience of opening 20 companies I see this all around the board. SHIT… Once upon a time, I used to be one of them too!

They study like crazy, they learn, they relearn, they network, they build, and they spend their valuable time that is never given back.

In crypto and blockchain there are massive opportunities and by just attending events, conferences and meetups, we can hear countless success stories and people getting rich.

But when things do not work as well as we expected for ourselves, we pivot way too quickly without patience and without the finalization stage that it takes to create something amazing.

Just like we have in other industries, a big array of “big” ideas are put forth to go out on the table. But few ever make it to the damn table.

We saw something quite similar at the show. A sense of desperation because things didn't work out so far, in 2 to 5 months. 😂😆😋

Quick takes in their being:

-Their sentiment was very clear...
-They did not care much about the underlying technology. (blockchain & it’s possible applications)
-Money was their major play. (we all care about money but that being the major play is dangerous)
-They did not have the helping of humanity or of people on their main radars.
-Patience was not their friend
-And last but not least… They were not having fun while doing it!

THOSE THAT ARE ARE IT FOR THE LONG RUN.

You can see this deep within the essence of someone. There is no rush to climb Mount Everest, but there is a rush to learn and explore.

When speaking to them, they bring forth similarities to how the world saw the internet in its infant stages. Excited about the change it shall bring forth. Money is great and of course, it is fucking important but even before it is how it can change the world and the old antiquated system that has lived on for far too long.

Those that I saw with the largest growth were the ones with the biggest mission to HELP people, to give back, and to create something incredible for the world.

Here are some quick takes from those that will be in it for the long term and create something exceptional:

-Patience was a major component of their being.
-They are excited about cryptocurrencies/blockchain/tokens and studying it in a variety of fashions
-They want to help people and the world. They really do believe they can do it.
-They were inspired and fulfilled EXACTLY where they were. Regardless of money being made or not.
-They leave their egos behind (or at least tone them down haha) and come to what is a benefit to their project, not solely for themselves.
-They exude a positive vibe of calmness, assurance, and a collaborative spirit. (regardless of how the market or things are going)

IN CONCLUSION:

This is not “just” for the industry of crypto & blockchain but all industries across the board. It just really takes up a higher standing when large, easy, and fast money is involved.

Now… I am not making either side right or wrong (short or long term people and companies) but I urge people to do what you love and stay in your lane.

This is the space that you can be in, where you can actually have fun and live life a little bit more full. Not only will you love what are doing but you will have the long-term reward of doing what inspires you and you will be handsomely compensated for it!

Once an entrepreneur does a PITCH, will the video remain and all of the questions asked? That could be really helpful for people who aren't available to listen in on a pitch while it's live but want to catch up on it later.

Trust and security are some of the most important qualities we want to infuse into our platform. Nice one! Didnt even notice that they was live on facebook. Project is kinda good , but i didnt like that they realeased exchange before ICO . So you was able to buy alot of cheaper on exchange than in ICO. Token buyers i think feel screwed a little .

I'm certainly not sure, but I think vryatle traded people on the stock exchange, most likely, the PITCH team agreed with the stock exchange, and the team simply sold their tokens on the exchange at the price of ICO.
