Hello everybody! Hope you are doing well. The second month I have been thinking of investing money in ICO project. Do you think it is a good idea or I should just continue trading cryptocurrencies? What is the main keys what I have to look on? I am making research by finding ICO projects on rating agencies and ICO listings. What should I also look on?  Thank you in advance for your answers.

I think it’s still good idea about investing into ICO project because they are the one who make up most of the crypto world now. But you should be really focused about the ICO project as there is more scam projects than the good one out there. So you should first study most amazing projects and look for them in the marketplace. Don’t trust any project straightened but do extensive research about it and then go for it.

First of all you have to ask yourself: Does this project/idea/service need to be done on the blockchain, and does it need a new cryptocurrency for it work?
Second check if the project have already gathered some amount of people backing it. Also, you have research the people behind this ICO. And finally, it's good to look at how much the developers value their own product. I think you should trade crypto than join ICO project, better like that. ICO not good for invest because too many ICO become scam or have low price after listing into exchanger, my money stuck in several ICO project and make me angry. Don't ever pick the similar projects is my secret on being succeed and i specially rather to pick a unique strange project than investing in a similar projects like others.

Before choosing any ICO project you have at least good awareness about their project and also good information about their team also, the technology and the concept is the backbone of the project, currently there are good projects are there in the market which you have to join but after personally conformation.

You talk about advertising, and it isn't necessary that good and wide advertising offer the best, some scam icos use the same tactic. Everyone from us and investors generally should pay attention and don't believe in everything you see, just because its big it doesn't mean it will be successful.
Too many icos are there, I chose couple that I like from time to time and I invest between 50-200 dollars, nothing more, I don't wish to risk a lot with something completely new, pre sales are good to get more tokens, and if you see that project is going good in first month or two you fan always invest more.

Trust no one in this case. Everyone in here will just comment their top favourite ICOs which might not be that good specifically for you. Choose a project as per your requirements and what kind of return do you expect. You have to do your own research, no one can really direct you to invest in any "potential" ICO. ICO's were so much simpler back in 2015-16. I made awesome returns. Look at how many of them were fraudulent in the past.

Problems with ICOs in my opinion is that's it's pretty much risky for the investor and not the company.

Basically they think of an idea, make a white paper and try and sell it. But the idea isn't put in motion or tested out in real world first. It's just a white paper.

So even if it's a good idea, who knows if the developers can even deliver and once it's done whether it will work in the real world. And last but not least... will the company make money.

This is the good question about ICOs, I think you have many options to pick to invest in but I think don’t invest in ICOs in market down trend because it causes too much with your investment it makes your investment in loss just because of market situation otherwise some are good to be profitable,
