1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins dead? on: May 24, 2024, 11:59:09 PM
Altcoins used to follow the trend of bitcoin. Particularly, the top-order coins have similar market moves as Bitcoin. We can clearly watch it, and the recent ETF approval has created a lot of hype. Maybe after some time, once again, the bounce can start with the remaining altcoins. Ethereum ETF approval gave a small bullish move, and the trading is supposed to begin within a few weeks. Maybe by that time we can expect better moves in the altcoin market. For now, the focus has moved towards altcoins, and we can expect more altcoins to be taken towards the ETF approval request.
2  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does prediction in sport work for you? on: May 24, 2024, 11:57:00 PM
Prediction in sports betting works, but that also requires luck by your side. If that isn't favourable, then the perfect prediction will also end as a lost bet. I recently came across a bet in which the person placed a huge bet in millions on the odds @1.01 which is like a confirmed win. Will you think this bet will be lost? The reality is different, and the bet got lost. Prediction works, at times, the odds @10 wins, which we pick in a random way, whereas odds @1.1 losses. Our prediction may be correct because the majority could've chosen the same odd, but we weren't lucky to win the bet.
3  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What You will do in this situation? on: May 24, 2024, 11:07:23 PM
The reason he's playing slots may be because of the settlement time. The bets will be settled instantly, whereas with sports betting, one needs to wait till the match gets over to know the results of the bets. For this reason, people prefer spending much more on casino games than sports betting. As he's interested in watching sports, he could have better knowledge about different sports, but when it comes to betting, he is risking his money. Maybe he finds it difficult to make a prediction about the winner. As you've thought, it is good to suggest that he try sports betting, as it gives him better winning chances.
4  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to maximize winning potential and control excessive gambling habits on: May 24, 2024, 11:00:07 PM
Keep reading the advice and the experiences of other gamblers. This surely helps in correcting yourself. Gambling is all about self-control. If you're good enough to have control over your gambling activities, then you can maximize your winning potential. Most of the time, gamblers used to win well, but they don't know when to make an exit or comeback. When you're good at it, you can avoid huge losses, and taking advice will help you overcome stress when you're at a huge loss.
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you trust bitcoin holders? on: May 24, 2024, 10:54:24 PM
If you consider holding bitcoin anti-government, then everything you do will be against the government. It is possible to indicate that everything you do is against the government with reference to the law. To be perfect means to do different activities, you need to be moving to different countries. Because in one country, what you do is legal, whereas in the neighboring country, it'll be illegal. Another thing I don't understand is the trust used here. Is that meaning that just because a person holds bitcoin, you find trust issues with that guy? If so, please have some self examination.
6  Economy / Economics / Re: Work From Home or The "Laptop Class" is Immoral or Not? on: May 23, 2024, 10:40:35 PM
Working from home gives the employee space to have a good time with the family. Maybe they're contacted 24/7 by the team for different support needs, but they feel like they have less pressure. The work-life balance seems to be better than working in an office. A person reaching out to the office on time and leaving the office at the scheduled time increases productivity, but the mental pressure one experiences will be high. Now the same employee has the free mind to think as well as time to spend with family. There is nothing immoral, and the corporation always wants the best out of its employees, which used to be its primary purpose. It is true, and they're getting the best out of their employees, and they're profitable, if not long ago, work from home would've stopped.
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The difference between gamblers and real Bitcoin investors? on: May 23, 2024, 10:30:26 PM
Looking at the title, I thought it was about people making investments without proper knowledge, making money, and soon losing it. This is a real gamble, and even now more people are doing it because they believe that the cryptocurrencies on the leading order will have at least a small variation in price regularly. These are the people who don't have the patience, they just want to book the profit as soon as possible. At times, they won't be able to achieve it, and by then, they should've kept hold of their assets. What they do is sell on losses and blame the market. As said, real investors are the common investors who keep hold when the market moves downward.
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Shops now accept BTC on: May 23, 2024, 12:25:39 PM
Usage and acceptance of bitcoin are seen all around the world. Based on the interest we take in using bitcoin, we'll be able to make use of it. In some locations, it is possible to see a large number of stores accepting bitcoin. Particularly, the interest in cryptocurrency acceptance has increased in African countries. Many business owners wish to accept cryptocurrency into their businesses, but the legal status within their country makes them stay away. Bitpay gives detailed information on different brands, online stores, and cafes accepting bitcoin in different parts of the world.
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and Friendship on: May 23, 2024, 10:44:27 AM
I don't know how good the friendship is between the two. Based on the story, being into friendship is a kind of sharing. One has taken it in a positive way, whereas the other has taken the incident in a negative way. Finally, the reality was understood, and both got united. I have briefed my friends about bitcoin and haven't experienced something similar. During the beginning days, I shared about bitcoin with my friends and a nearby young generation. By this time, everyone was eager to know, but they weren't confident enough to invest. People who had an opportunity but missed it now used to praise me for the support during the beginning.
10  Economy / Economics / Re: Invest on your dependants if you too must grow further on: May 22, 2024, 11:58:36 PM
In my country, there is a saying: don't give fish to a person in need; it may fill his stomach for the day. Instead, teach him how to fish, which will give him the will to survive and meet his needs. Not many people do this because they feel insecure. Maybe the person whom they taught can grow higher than them in wealth. A similar thing is being mentioned in the OP, just our growth isn't going to make a big change. The change needs to take place in a coordinated manner. If a man has grown, his surroundings should also experience the growth. This will make a transition in society, and when the same happens within a family, the better development of the family can be felt.
11  Economy / Economics / Re: Money is all wealth? on: May 22, 2024, 07:39:02 PM
There is a difference of view regarding wealth. It's a misconception that money is wealth and that only with money can people be happy. If that's the real fact, then only the millionaires around the world will be happy. The reality is different, and even the person who doesn't have three meals a day is happy. This means happiness is all about the inner mind and the feeling of fullness, where a healthy life becomes more important than the wealth one holds.

As in the OP, it is really tough to have a better life without money. For everything, money is important, as we wouldn't be able to move forward and couldn't fulfill our desires if we didn't have money. But one can be happy without that money, which is purely on one's mind. The commercialization has made people think that having luxury things, cars, etc. will be considered rich, which is wrong, and from such a perspective, many people consider having money to be happy.
12  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your gambling life could affect your relatives lifes. on: May 21, 2024, 11:59:43 PM
When gambling becomes addictive, the problem begins. It is the responsibility of the person to understand the limits and keep himself within them. There are couples who earn well and spend together on gambling. They know well about their limits, and they spend together because they can stop each other if things go beyond their limits. Compared to the old days, people were more calculative and began to spend after meeting all their needs for the month.

When we're into gambling, we should enjoy the moment if it ends up with a win. If we weren't able to win, we just need to stop it there, and beyond that, our thinking shouldn't be over gambling. We should have the mentality to move on from our routine. When this is possible, we will be able to spend good time on gambling as well as have a better relationship with the family. Because the problem with the present generation is that their physical presence and mental thinking are on something else.
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are banks against cryptocurrency? on: May 21, 2024, 11:31:41 PM
(6) HOW DOES CRYPTOCURRENCY AFFECT THE BANKS?  In my own opinion, cryptocurrency have had a profound impact on traditional banking. By challenging the status quo and disrupting long-est abolish systems, their decentralized nature, cost advantages, and increased accessibility have implications for both individuals and financial institutions.
Ask yourself as a business man will you happy when new competition comes up?

Banks will traditionally be against anything that has the potential to affect their business. Traditional banks have been against even fintechs because they reduced their customer base, cryptocurrency has the ability to also affect the customer base of these banks that is why they are against it.

When we take it from a business perspective, we've got three choices. One is to make the system more effective than the competing one, and this isn't possible with the traditional banking system. The second choice is to get adopted by the technology, and many banking firms have begun to get used to BlockChain technology. The third is to add the services associated with cryptocurrency to the banks so that they can keep their customers even when the surroundings get flooded with cryptocurrency adoption. There is a saying that when competence is high, there'll be more business. This scenario is different with cryptocurrency because of the innovative technology, which needs to be understood beyond a business perspective.
14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why use decentralized bitcoin in a centralized way? on: May 21, 2024, 11:18:13 PM
People want ease of access, and for that reason, people prefer centralized platforms. Bitcoin was innovated to eliminate the centralized authorities that take control over people's money. But the development that happened through the centralized network has made people get adopted to it and continue using it, even after understanding the negative parts of a centralized system.

When we use it in a decentralized way, the control will be in our hands. Even a small mistake could freeze the account or make us lose control over the assets, whereas with the centralized way of using, even if there's an issue, we'll have a support team to resolve it. This is the reason why most people prefer the decentralized asset to be used in a centralized way.

Multiple choices of access were provided, and for beginners, centralized exchange seems to be more user-friendly. This is also a reason why people prefer using centralized platforms. Another reason was the high liquidity and multiple asset pairings, which make trading and other options easier.
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: No risk no gain on: May 21, 2024, 10:57:15 PM
This incident would've happened in most people's lives. Everyone sees it differently when they hear about it for the first time. With time, they'll start understanding the better part of bitcoin. OP seems wise, requesting his brother to try it first and understand the reality of the market. He had thought to be on the safer side, but he lost the opportunity. If he had entered the market earlier, he could've known better and taken the risk.

Even now, if we go explain it to a person who isn't aware of bitcoin, they'll say, Wow, $70k for a single coin. Thats it, and further, their minds never think of it as a better choice for the future. Later in the year, these people realize that we had an opportunity to make good money and have missed it. The best part is that it is possible to invest based on our abilities, as it has multiple denominations. So, entering the market at the earliest increases the chance of making life better  Cheesy

20  Economy / Economics / Re: Surviving the economy with creative thinking. on: February 13, 2024, 11:59:33 PM
I'm not sure what the OP is trying to convey, based on what he mentioned, it looks like it is time for the survival of the fittest. As of now, hard work is a must, along with smart work, which is much more needed as everything is dependent on technology. People who were able to think smart will progress and reach the next level of life, while the rest will just move on with what is available.

As the needs of people grow, so does the economy. Based on this, we need to broaden our thoughts and plans, if not, things won't work according to our predictions. In all situations, we need to keep ourselves prepared to face the worst-case scenario, only then it is possible to handle all sorts of situations.
