481  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: August 04, 2023, 11:34:51 PM
I think it is time for ICC to actually let go of test cricket. Instead of spending time and resources on test cricket, I think they really should spend those things for the t20 format. In this day and age, everyone wants to see the winning team have more skill compared to luck.
I don't think the ICC will ever get rid of test cricket since the recent Ashes has proven that it still has a sizeable audience who are willing to watch them despite all of the problems associated with it.

T-20 format is definitely a lot more entertaining in comparison, but the test format is special in its own way.
Although Test cricket is a long duration, it basically plays a major role in developing a player. It is said that a player's skill, endurance and other things are tested through Test cricket. If this format is abolished then the number of good cricketers will decrease. However, with the change of era and current demands, T20 cricket is now one of the most popular sports. But Test cricket is still preferred by those who love cricket. Due to which, even though there is a long period of time, there are still many spectators enjoying Test cricket.
To the fast moving world people weren't able to spend much time watching a cricket match. This is the situation with majority of the cricket fans. T20 format is getting importance around the world. However there is need of test format to understand the real ability of the player. With T20 format cricket even the last player will hit sixes and change the match. The same isn't an easy thing with test cricket. In my opinion test cricket outline the quality whereas T20 is the trend setter.
482  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: August 03, 2023, 11:46:14 PM

I think it's not good that India lost today. Not good for their morale. Remember this is sort of India backup team which is playing and we are testing our bench strength, not being able to chase a target of meagre 149 obviously isn't something you want. I think bad start in batting really pushed India out of match slowly and slowly, also there was no support from any other batsmen than Tilak.

IMO when you are testing your bench strength and second string team then there is no need to panic. It's 5 T-20 match series so plenty of time to bounce back.

Also, it wasn't a one sided affair but yeah if Windies really dominate this Indian side in the upcoming matches then ofc we can talk about the morale and other stuff.

There is nothing to panic as it is the testing phase. However a team with such strong batting unit unable to reach the target of 149 runs is really disappointing. Though it is a 5 match series, one more win coming from West Indies will keep the India team under added pressure in the rest of the matches. This itself down the performance of the players. India has taken the match playfully and once again they'll learn as the ODI series and at the final matches they'll play very carefully.
483  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Buying food with BTC on: August 03, 2023, 11:32:53 PM
If I, for example, have a lot of Bitcoin, I will not pay my Bitcoin just for food, but if I use fiat as payment, that is what I will do. Because why would I do that? if I know for myself that in the coming year 2024 each Bitcoin will be more than 100k$.

It will just look like a waste of money for me to pay Bitcoin for food. I guess it's just common sense as a long-term holder of Bitcoin.
Using part of your Bitcoin to buy food or make payments online does not mean that one is stupid or one does not know what he is doing. This is a way to promote the use of Bitcoin without any harm. Since we can always convert our fiat to Bitcoin online and use it to buy goods or our necessities online, it is a good move and it will show other Bitcoin investors that this is a true way to transact using Bitcoin.

I can decide to convert most of my fiat holding to Bitcoin and keep using it to buy things online rather than using our normal fiat to do the same thing. When other people see us or notice that we always buy things online using Bitcoin, they would want to follow the same foot steps promoting the use of Bitcoin as a payment method.
Rather than holding there is a need of small spending so to keep up the circulation as well as to spread the goodness about bitcoin. As said above it is true that people get triggered to use things that are being used by others. Bitcoin is given importance as an investment over a regular spending currency. Over time when the acceptance and adoption level increases, people will get used to it.

Being part of an advancement we should have our contribution. Myself used to spend converting bitcoin to cash as we don't have much of stores and online services accepting bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. Most of the bitcoin and cryptocurrencies that involves into direct spending were on gambling platforms.
484  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: August 03, 2023, 11:09:01 PM
Sad lost for Ofner. The Austrian player was leading the second set 5-0 ...but the adversay, Molcan, was able to win the second set at 7-5... even avoiding 2 match points!
In third set the Slovakian was able to win also tie break.
I don't know if you have seen this match in Austria but has been something "crazy and funny to see" with nice odds for the whole match Roll Eyes

I read about this comeback as this story is even popping up in Belgium newspapers. I don't know why but sometimes seems a bit fishy with this comeback as Ofner was not injured or anything and played a great third set. It has happened quite a lot that a player that is 0-40 behind can still win the game, but these kind of comebacks are unique. I just hope that we will not find out later that this was rigged.
Unexpected blow for Sebastian Ofner who is the no.1 player of Austria. Losing the match at the home ground is a big disappointment. On the other side the comeback of Alex Molcan is a big surprise for everyone. Very few gamblers would've got lucky to win good placing bets when the second set of the match is lead by Ofner 5-0. Craziest win from Alex Molcan and following the win he had fallen to Sebastian Baez in the quarter finals 6-4 6-3.
485  Economy / Gambling / Re: Free Condolence Bonuses to Betnomi victims on: August 03, 2023, 10:59:31 PM
Trustdice team have come up with better plans, however this could help the victims to some extent. This is kinda marketing and take those disappointed gamblers regular users of their platform. Whatever no platform comes forward to provide with a bonus for the mistake from another platform.

Here the bonuses were availed based on the amount stuck on the platform. How this information can be provided to the trustdice is another question. Anyhow this is going to be beneficial for some scammers who try to claim themselves victims and atleast wager to try their luck on trustdice.
486  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as an inflation hedge on: August 03, 2023, 10:49:04 PM
bitcoin will do this by being an alternative for traditional currency or by totally replacing local currency,

Do you really believe that Bitcoin can be replaced with the local currencies of every country in the world? Although Bitcoin is a valuable asset and can add value to one's investment instead of being caught up with inflation the way it is with fiat money, but that doesn't mean that local currency will still not exist. I think that along the line, in the future, more people will realise that Bitcoin is kind of a safe heaven to hold one's funds and avoid being affected by inflation, but worldwide, Bitcoin will not be accepted by every country, even to the extent of totally replacing their local currency. although we can't tell what the future will become.
In any extent traditional fiat into usage won't be completely replaced by bitcoin. Even in El Salvador, the country that have considered bitcoin legal tender have given the choice with its people. There is no compulsion to use bitcoin, it is their choice whether to use bitcoin or continue using the dollar. The way bitcoin have been developed seems like functional against inflation. This makes bitcoin better over the traditional fiat into usage in the long run or when the world is hit by hard inflation. The acceptance level of bitcoin around the world is in better shape compared to the past years.
487  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA World Cup 2026 :Canada/Mexico/United States: Discussion Thread on: August 02, 2023, 11:53:16 PM
It is quite difficult for some people in some countries to obtain a visa for America, and it usually takes a lot of time for them to obtain one. I think the United States will make some exceptions during the world cup when it hosts it, as well as try to put in place some rules to make it easier for people to obtain a visa during the tournament.

We must not forget that there will be presidential elections at the US on 2024, and it seems that once again immigration is going to be a very hot topic, so while it would make sense for the US to relax the requirements for fans which want to obtain a visa to visit their country during the world cup, we may as well end up seeing the opposite and instead we could see the US becoming way stricter on their policies, and people that had already bought their tickets and booked hotel rooms may be denied a visa losing a lot of money in the process.

I just forgot about the presidential elections in 2024, I guess because of the 2026 world cup we are going to see many topics and news about the possible presidents who want to make special rules for the world cup and make some special rules for it. I think after the presidential elections that's possible to see some changes in the USA and some changes in rules.

the US government has had a lot of headaches for many years because of mexico in terms of the illegal entry of mexicans, there is also the issue of drugs and the great mexican criminals who have committed atrocities, so with this joint world cup i am saddened asking how the US government intends to deal with the mexican border during the world cup, because I believe that many people will want to watch as many games as possible, so they will watch some games in the us and then travel by car to mexico to watch other games and then return to the US to watch more games

if the government at the border are very strict then it will make the number of people who will spend hours waiting for bureaucracy at the border very large and the most annoying thing for me is sitting in the car in a long line of cars waiting for the police to keep searching each car and documents, we will see how the government will deal with this so that the service is quick and does not create embarrassment for people who go to watch the games and of course the drug dealers will want to take advantage of this world cup event

They cannot and they will not change whole country rules for a tournament even if they are hosting the greatest tournament in the world. Because there is huge interest from people in all over the world to take visas to America, but still America can make some special rules and let the people who want to watch the world cup to have their visas easier or after than at other times.

I'm not a US citizen, but from what I've been following on the news, the US has been a country where violence and crimes have been happening a lot, especially with people who have guns and arrive in public places and start killing other people, even simple fights have ended in tragedy and always involving weapons, so I keep asking myself if it would be good if the usa and mexico organized the world cup being that they are two countries where the level of safety in the streets is problematic, the rich who walk with private security guards and driving in cars with armored windows will be very safe, apart from traveling by private plane or helicopter, but middle-class people who are going to watch the world cup

they will have to walk, take a taxi, use public transport and knowing that Americans (I'm not talking about all of them) have guns and have a violent behavior in which everything has to be resolved in the fight and not with words, I see that the guys who are in this world cup and they are not rich they will suffer, when they want to leave the usa for mexico the situation will be worse from the border to mexico itself which is another place where there are people who prefer to solve everything using weapons, fifa just looks at the money that each country is willing to spend to organize the world cup, they don't look at people's safety
Something happening during the world's popular event is surely going to be an ashame for the US government. Taking the same in mind surely better security will be provided on the streets. Compared to the past nowadays gun culture have decreased, but we can't be sure that the scenario will be the same. Combined efforts from the US - Mexico security team could make things in an orderly manner. While organising such an event surely FIFA would take the safety of the viewers into consideration than anything else.
488  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: August 02, 2023, 11:36:59 PM
Broad retired and Ali followed him too. Weird thing is that Anderson still hasn't retired which isn't smart at all considering the fact that he might not be selected for Ashes 2025 in my opinion.
He might be looking to pick his 700th wicket and then announce the retirement or may be James Anderson is looking to hold any modern record to become the oldest player to play International match  Cheesy.

All teams should adopt the epic Bazball approach in order to make tests way more interesting since England has proven that it's an effective strategy.
There is no doubt that BazBall is interesting but not every country will be able to follow the same path and expect to be successful. Now a days most of the Test matches are having results unlike a decade ago.
England is successful in following Bazball approach. Long back itself the team had been following it, but it had reached the discussion once after Ben Stokes adopted it. From the very beginning of the Ashes series this is how England played and the same let the level the series. At times the same had made them lose the match. One example is the first match where the team announced early declaring of the innings and lost on a narrow margin. Those are decisions from England team in an unexpected moment.
489  Economy / Speculation / Re: BITCOIN NEED NEW MONEY AS MUCH AS HALVING TO SEE SUSTAINED HIGH PRICES on: August 02, 2023, 11:30:04 PM
There is some truth to this...but the problem is that there is actually more money leaving crypto than what's being pumped in, which means without any excess capital coming in bitcoins value won't be sustainable
enough for it to pump!
Even with the bitcoin halving around the corner,  this definitely won't be enough ,as the crypto markets work like a tyre..if the tyre is deflated and you put pressure in, without any puncture or holes it will hold the pressure and be inflated, but should this have a hole somewhere..nomatter how much pressure you put into such a tyre,  it can never be filled up..so as long as we have crypto users always taking out their profits and never hodling we are guaranteed that crypto market's will take forever to grow!
That's the reality, but till date close to the days of halving fresh money used to get pumped in. When there is sign of bullish market, more money gets into the market. This time the entire world is facing hard inflation and the same could keep the people fail from pumping more money into the market. Earlier the involvement of institutional investors and the whales used to be high. These days it is quite rare to see such information. In the past the Whales just try to manipulate and have control and the same lets them invest more. Now things have changed and they weren't able to have control over the market. Lets see what happens getting near to the days of halving.
490  Economy / Economics / Re: War: who benefits and how! on: August 02, 2023, 11:22:48 PM
Exactly, the third party. In some cases, you will even see that third party selling to all of those countries involved in the war to get as many profits as they can get. They certainly did not lose anything but they gained millions, probably even billions for that. They did not directly participate in the war, they only did business.
I also agree and it makes sense if you say a third party can take advantage of both sides when two countries are at war. Because this third party is a party who really wants to take advantage of this moment as an opportunity to make money from both of them, so that party will not care about the level of difficulty that occurs in the war, but only see how many opportunities he can take advantage of in these conditions.
As said War is the ground to measure the ability of different weapons as well as show who's product is superior to the other. Here the third party would sell products to both the countries involved in war. This is pure politics connected with business, because initially the country who holds big volume of weapons provide support with free weapons and further on discount and later on pricing. Whenever a war is happening it is the responsibility of the governments to get into discussion and make an end and war isn't the solution. This is kind of wasting people's money and making their living even worse.
491  Economy / Economics / Re: What's the effect of having plenty children to the national economy of a country on: August 02, 2023, 11:05:59 PM
I don't give a shit what anyone says, this world is overpopulated and is only going to get worse and worse as time goes on.  Just look at home much land we destroy each and every single day, to make way for the needs of human beings.  We are destroying are oceans on top of that.  During Covid during the harshest of times, we saw a lot of magnificent things in nature due to the fact of humans not being out and about and interrupting nature as we generally do.

IMO there should be limits to how many children people have.  But this will never happen on a global scale until it's too late. People mostly aren't willing to make "sacrifices" that won't benefit them directly.
Agreed, with the increasing population the better living conditions were destroyed with the increasing demand. In particular the environmental changes were massive. In some countries there is restriction and the governments have provided with scholarship and other benefits based on the number of children. Such measures will surely lower the population rise.

Rather than sacrifice even now there are people who never get used to the advancement and birth control procedures. They just put everything on god and say God have given it and we shouldn't stop it. It looks funny, but this happening in some part of the world.
492  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does cryptocurrency actually solve any problems? on: August 01, 2023, 11:47:00 PM
Bitcoin have given new dimension to the transaction as well as investment. It have got the ability to solve the problems that arise due to the third party. Some have said about bitcoin solving unemployment, poverty and all which is completely wrong. Will the traditional currency solve poverty or unemployment. Those things were in the hands of the government. Better they manage and be productive makes the possibility of reducing unemployment and poverty in the country.
493  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How can I understand meme coin good or bad position? on: July 31, 2023, 11:57:48 PM
How can I understand a meme coin's position in the current market? Is there any way to tell if it will be good or bad? I have seen MEXC exchange add many meme tokens daily. How to identify a good token from here?

there is no good meme coin, because investing in meme coin is like gambling, if you are lucky then you will get a lot of profit from investing in meme coin and if you are unlucky, then you will lose your money, therefore I suggest you not to invest all your money in meme coin and my advice to you if you want to invest in meme coin, "buy when there is hype and sell immediately if you have made a profit (never hold for the long term)".
These coins doesn't have any purpose. Some have been developed further and given more realtime usage. One such is the Shiba Inu which just existed and gained popularity. Soon after that the development and burning process have been followed to make the Shiba Inu valuable and got more real-time usage. Though these memecoins were some sort of gamble, these coins were also required in a competitive market.
494  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why is Gamble gaining more fans than Bitcoin? on: July 31, 2023, 11:30:48 PM
As most people have mentioned it is the lack of understanding about bitcoin that makes gambling superior to it. People have much used to the term gambling, and they're not much user to the word bitcoin. With time people will get better understanding when they start exploring more about bitcoin and gambling. There is also some mix-up among the people that bitcoin is gambling and bitcoin is for gambling. These are just the misunderstanding that could deviate people towards a different track. This can be overcome only through the knowledge we acquire relative to bitcoin and gambling. One of the biggest reason is the quick money making possibility against the long holding for people's increased interest over gambling.
495  Economy / Economics / Re: How billionaires are really affecting the economy. on: July 31, 2023, 11:24:40 PM
Now more and more millionaires are concerned with humanity, of course, the popular ones are Bill Gates who like to make donations throughout the world with well -designed programs, in my country of assistance from millionaires, of course, it is immediately useful because it is related to the agricultural system, 5 or 6 years ago there are millionaires which provides assistance worth $ 10 million and is used for rice field irrigation systems thereby increasing farmers' production
I'm not sure how good is Bill Gates. He had been doing good through the people in need and a major portion have been spent on charity work. This is really great and e serves as an example among the billionaires. These people contribute, but the inequality in the financial system that majority of money into the hands of very few people and the rest suffering to survive is really hard thing. Now the prime focus of every corporate business were upon agriculture and for the same Bill Gates might've started his work supporting the farmers.
496  Economy / Economics / Re: Reason why you will never become rich on: July 31, 2023, 11:16:04 PM
Maybe because some of the people are having delayed gratification but the thing is they understand and execute it in a wrong way. People that getting high salary their expenses are getting high as well. We should learn to manage both, in order for us not to be unto debt, it is not bad to buy luxury items but we should know our limits and it should be manageable.
I think the main hole for someone in managing their financial management is very influential in their economy. Because if someone is very royal or wants to live in luxury without being supported by commensurate income then he becomes someone who will live continuously under the pressure of luxury without realizing that he is entangled in a lot of ongoing credit.
In short, one must be aware of their status, their capability to obtain finances and their source of income.  Also one should learn how to manage their finances in order to set right budget and not overspend while have the ability to acknowledge right investment ventures.  It needs a lot of studying and thought, and by learning that we might be uncovering the secret to get rich.  Having none of these attribute will surely make us broke and unable to step on the realm of the wealthy.

[/quote]
Need to learn how to lead life with the available resources. What we do now will let us be free and have comfortable living in the later years. This is something proven in everyone's life. In my country the parents work hard and give the comfort to their kids and the kids when grown up moves to the next level of living. Some sort of sacrifice is essential to reach a position. The parents couldn't have enjoyed the life, but they've made better path for their kids. This is the base apart from the investment and other productive measures of making money. So, starting with the base and moving further with educated investment seems to be good.
497  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: People with quick rich attitude always mess up with alt coins on: July 30, 2023, 11:18:36 PM
There are altcoins that provide better profit against bitcoin. However the risk is high as bitcoin hold the track record whereas altcoins were of expectation and nothing assured. Some get lucky to invest on altcoins that give quick return on the investment and makes people rich. When we're into altcoins we should be ready to make quick decisions, because the fluctuations take place in large scale and in no time.

Good is to go with the leading altcoins or with the little priced altcoins that are much into discussion and have good growth expectancy. While trying with new coins it is good to spend what one can afford to loss as like gambling.
498  Economy / Economics / Re: Automating your savings will help you save more on: July 30, 2023, 11:10:06 PM
This is quite right that with advent in comforts like ATM cards it's now easy to withdraw money and not easy to save money. But there are other frontiers available to save your money like Bitcoin. To me Bitcoin is like an account without an ATM card since I can only accumulate bitcoin and there is no way I can spend bitcoin or convert them to fiat since crypto is ban in my country. That's right you need to do something  different to save money on regular basis.

If one has a debit card in their savings account, they will likely get tempted to withdraw some money from their safe any day without realising that they are really saving the money for some goals, although sometimes they have plans to replace the money, which they don't. I agree with you that Bitcoin is another way of saving money, even if it's in a situation where it's not banned in your country. I know that it might not be so for everybody, but for myself, I can hold my Bitcoin tight without spending it, but I can't freely hold fiat cash unless maybe it's fixed deposited in the bank.
The digital transaction possibilities available in our hands have made things easier and most of the time we were spending on unwanted things. This needs to be stopped, only then saving can be made effective. As suggested we'll be having certain goals and for the same we'll be saving. All of the sudden we'll end up spending. This shouldn't happen and this can be avoided saving in terms of bitcoin. Here the prime focus should be long term and the  regular amount saved gets added and assure with a better value than saving in fixed deposits or some other deposit schemes for high interest.
499  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Crypto another form of gambling? on: July 30, 2023, 11:01:21 PM
I have studied about the crypto world and also studied gambling performance and they have different ways to earn income although trading is almost similar to betting in problem gambling but both have different ways, and crypto does not depend on luck even though we are all looking for profit when buying a coin but we have charts that must be learned so as not to be wrong in choosing the coin we want to invest in.
I am agree with you. You told appropriate. Crypto and gambling are operate different way. Gambling depend on luck, ont the other hand crypt market is fully different from gambling.
Both were unpredictable which is the only thing that makes gambling and bitcoin similar. However the outcome of gambling and bitcoin were completely different. With gambling we were to lose everything if the bet fails whereas with bitcoin the varying price gives profit/loss but it won't make the wallet get emptied. Through learning it is possible to be better with bitcoin prediction whereas with gambling there is need of luck however good you make prediction based on data gathered.
500  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gender in Gambling [differences between Women and Men in Gambling] on: July 30, 2023, 10:52:23 PM
When you talk about gambling, it seems that you are talking about the kind of irresponsible activity we sometimes see in clinical cases.

It is true that women are usually more reasonable in financial terms, especially in developing countries (in developed ones, it's true that they don't usually waste their money in alcohol, high bets etc. but they do purchasing expensive lotions and unnecessary fashion accessories), but gambling responsibly has nothing to do with respect to one's family.

BTW, I'm witnessing a generational change in this topic: more and more little girls are getting into sports in my country, especially football, so I foresee a greater female demand of sports bets in a few years, when they reach the legal gambling age.
here, it's a normal behavior (women betting on sports) especially now that the women's world cup event is taking place, i'm sure the majority of those involved in betting are women.  in Brazil, for example, you can often find women who are very good at playing football, they certainly don't just play football but follow soccer betting too, the culture and habits of a community really influence the behavior of women (similar to when you are in vegas or macau, sightings of female gamblers are common)
If women can be allowed to participate in sports football competition such as the world cup it then mean they should be allowed to support their teams they fan by also betting on them cashing fun and making money at same time. A lot of cultural apprenhensions are denying women the right to self determination of activities which men are freely allowed to take on and those regions where such cultures are prevailing it has hindered the ability of women to showcase their innate capabilities. These People needs to realize that  If participating in gambling is viewed as something that  shaming and irresponsible to the family then it should be projected on both gender and not to the female alone.
When Women are given rights and provided with equality, it is a must to let them gamble. Whether it is a men or women, both were from a family. It is bad that men gambling isn't shameful whereas Women spending into gambling activities make the family get ashamed. Another thing women are not much interested into gambling as men. Very little percentage were interested into gambling while the majority are much focused on casino and lottery based gambling.
