You should see gamble as fun so that you don't end up chasing your loss due to greed and emotions,all these when done as a gambler will lead to addiction. Only gamble with money that you can afford to lose. Self-control is the only thing a gambler needs to discipline himself. You can go for a break for maybe 6months to 1ur,then come back to it again. Even the person who consider gambling as fun will chase the loss when he experience continuous loss against wins. As in the post, chasing the loss or trying to recover the loss and stop gambling doesn't gonna help people with safe gambling. Right choice is to take break for long term, if not atleast taking interval between bets too could help in having safe gambling.
