1  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best LiveStreaming sport services? on: May 24, 2024, 07:13:40 PM
Honestly I never seen sports getting streaming on casino especially in crypto casino, so I am really excited to see if there is any?

There are multiple free apps comes with my bill as package so I never worried about missing any game I wanted to watch in high resolution as they offered so I didn't really needed that feature to exist.

But for a regular sports bettors this might be very handy, no need to look at multiple screens. Smiley

This doesn't have anything to do with the signature campaigns if we are talking about OGs because they were here even before the existence of signatures but the restrictions regarding the discussion about mixers might be a trigger point.

I would say we are running out of things that has to be discussed anymore, because it has been discussed over and over so at some point it will get boring so people stopped doing it.

As someone said keeping the discussion board is active for the future of bitcointalk even if it's mostly filled with spam and that's why the merit system is introduced isn't it, so do we need to change anything in the system because numbers obviously matters most in the internet world.

Likes, followers, subscribers so does merits. Grin
3  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Are there impacts of too many projects on the Bitcoin blockchain? on: May 24, 2024, 03:57:12 PM
My question
1. What would be the future impact of adding too many projects to the blockchain?
2. Are the impacts positive or negative?
3. Are there no ways to oppose some of these projects before their implementation?

1. More spam tokens invading the Bitcoin network then it results in the surge in TX fees and by this time we had already been aware of it for over a year and they are not really part of Bitcoin but just found the loophole to use the Bitcoin's popularity to sell their tokens for lump amount.

2. Bitcoin gains nothing from it but leaves the users who transact BTC to pay higher fee than they are supposed to be.

3. Here truly decentralization comes into play, no one can decide what they allow or not to do with the bitcoin network.
4  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are the limits and common sense of bet? on: May 24, 2024, 03:43:18 PM
example, he bet his salary, and if he won he would not win anything from the person he bet against (he just wouldn't give the salary to the opponent who would receive the bet...), can the person who would "win" the bet force the friend who made this childish bet?

This just reminds me of the scene from Fast and Furious, Dom gets nothing but respect from the loser. Cheesy

I don't know the story inspired from the scene or the otherway round but anyway there is no point of staking something that you have and get nothing in return if you win the bet, what's the point of doing it?

It's not childish, it's stupid though.
5  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and Religion. Beliefs or Choices? on: May 24, 2024, 07:05:25 AM
There are some religions that have strict views on gambling, some considering it morally wrong. However, people still gamble for various reasons.

Have you ever faced any conflicts between your religious beliefs versus gambling? How it happen and how did you handle it?
How do different religions view gambling? What could be the reasons behind it?

I am not a complete follower of the religion and often I consider myself not related with any religion at all but I do believe in God not just the rules wrote on books which can't fit in this 21st century. Sure I see lot of people say gambling is wrong, so does lying and so does cheating and anything else like that but still they chose to do it then they have no right to ask me what I do and don't want to. And by the way love your life in the way you want and don't let anyone to interfere with your choices.
Dont have any religion? This sounds new to me on which each person would really be something that having that at least unless if you dont believe on God or something be called atheist then it wont be shocking imho.

I didn't say any religion but not following it anymore for a while but atheist is different who don't believe in the existence of God which I don't agree too. I am trying to apply my common sense with the religion as well, there has to be some reason why they used to restrict something from do it.

Here we are talking about gambling so in my opinion religions are against it because thousands of years back people might not be living as what we did so they needed something beyond so they named it as Gpd to keep them disciplined but today it's totally different and we know what they said gambling is bad cause once you are into it you can lose everything you got while now we have system called money and we can choose how much we want to use it based on how much we make.

7  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling addiction does more harm than mere financial loss on: May 23, 2024, 06:25:06 PM

Financial loss is the most concerning factor due to gambling addiction and I don't take other's much as part of gambling but it's associated with any kind of addiction in general. This is 21st century still we see gambling is bad/taboo that we have to hide from others? Which is probably why someone has to be depressed when they met loss because they lost money and they can't share it with anyone else other than keep it by themselves and add more pressure than it should be.

For me I don't really think a gambler feels depressed because of either the shame of telling someone else or he is trying to hide his loses, no. He would feel depressed because he has lost his money and it is worth if he is poor and have taken gambling as a source of living.

Money losing is what would make a gambler feel depressed and not that because he is hiding telling people or letting people know. The reason he would be secluded is when he doesn't have money to play again and can't raise money for himself.

I am not a medical expert but I do know something in general and we most often confuse depression with stress and frustration because both are totally different. Losing money in gambling is hard to accept which is a fact I agree too but the depression doesn't comes straightaway when they lose or in losing streak for a while, all they get frustrated.

And don't know what to do at that situation because they are stressed out already due to the financial loss so if they had someone to share what they're going through will definitely ease and avoid getting into depressed.
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Best Crypto Wallet on: May 23, 2024, 04:48:23 PM
Sounds like a very unsafe plan. Let's just hold his BTC in Bitcoin Core and, when time will come, move them everywhere he wants to sell them.
You need to stop posting what is wrong and what can mislead people. He is not saying he has Bitcoin Core, why recommending a wallet that will take over 500 gigabyte to download the full blockchain? Even if it is a Prune node, how about the daily data requirements to keep updating it to the latest blocks? This is not what the user want. At least recommend an SPV wallet instead. Bitcoin Core is also still an online wallet and not cold wallet.

Dude calm down and read again what i wrote instead of make false statements

He doesn't need Bitcoin core for that purpose, any SPV wallet is good enough to store for long term and move the funds to exchange whenever we want to sell. So if OP is a beginner then I won't recommend core at all, Electrum will be my recommendation, it just takes few MBs of space and in future, he can connect to your own node as well if you don't want to rely on third-party servers.

10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Explaining pool mining/solo mining to a indifferent significant other on: May 23, 2024, 08:40:05 AM

So I have been solo mining instead and I have been honest about how low of odds I have to see any reward and I don't make any profit doing it. Which they are not happy about and don't like the concept of 'lotto mining'.

The odds are the same as someone winning a lottery. Cheesy

Let me spill some facts so you may know what it's to be a solo miner. Currently, we are at the 844714 mined blocks and you know what it's only happened 282 times. The last incident was on 28th Apr 2024 with hash rate of around 120 petahashes per second (PH/s) which is just 0.02% of total network's hasrate.

So I wouldn't waste my resources while trying to be a solo miner, the best choice for individuals now is buy bitcoin than mining it.

A high-ranking member of this forum sent in a link to something I asked him/her to execute for me but it was blanked even when he/she sent me a DM it is also blanked (meanwhile when I checked everything with other browsers on my computer only Brave browser works and I never block, or put the user on my ignore list) and I can clearly see DMs from other users on the browsers the user messages is not showing.

In addition, the user DM and the link he/she provided for the task work on my mobile phone but are not shown on some browsers on my computer.

Since you have no trouble accessing the content via mobile then I assume it has nothing to do with the forum.

You never mentioned what kind of link that's been sent to you but extensions you have on your browser or antivirus that you have installed can often consider short links or any unknown links is kind of malicious.

on the PM page check the sources (the link) in the inspect page usually by clicking F12.
12  Economy / Gambling / Re: Is the exclusive stake.com bonus promoted on some sites legit? on: May 22, 2024, 08:17:15 PM
Casinos have various kinds of rewards and promotions, in this case you're talking about deposit bonus which is very common and almost offered in every casino but there will always be a catch as others pointed out which can be wagering amount or you can withdraw the bonus at all, it can be only used for wagering not available for withdrawal. Stake is promoting in different platforms so don't believe everything what you see unless you see it's mentioned in their official site.
13  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to maximize winning potential and control excessive gambling habits on: May 22, 2024, 06:29:32 PM
It's just another form of saying don't gamble more than you can afford to lose in my perspective.

I won't take gambling too seriously, sure I will be responsible but taking it seriously is different cause it game of chance not skills so all you can do is ensure the longevity of your betting which not necessarily mean increases in the winnings, if you have $100 to bet and losing $50 in two bets is no different from losing $10 in 10 bets.
14  Other / Meta / Re: Is this forum getting worse and worse? on: May 22, 2024, 04:49:39 PM
Accepting the reality that BTC and all other coins are old news and less people are interested in the forum because it is repetitive.
So we need to accept the fact, that BTC is what it is and we can't expect the information to be new in every post we post, merit sources should also have to look at the primary discussion boards and encourage posts that contribute something to the discussion which doesn't always necessarily to be exceptional, long and technical.
15  Other / Meta / Re: Is this forum getting worse and worse? on: May 22, 2024, 04:24:31 PM
Definitely, it is getting worse and the probable causes are

  • We are running out of interesting topics to discuss.
  • Newbies trying to teach how to be an expert.
  • Merit sources ignored primary discussion boards because it's mostly filled with spam.
  • Veterans left the forum for multiple reasons.
  • Missing reporters like Actmyname.

What we can do to make it better, ban signature campaigns completely It will effectively stop the posts that are created to meet quota but it reduce the traffic into the forum drastically.
16  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Os boxing the worst sport to get on? on: May 20, 2024, 05:54:22 PM
This reminds me of something when I was a teeny little I used to believe that WWE was real for a very long time and then only realized my whole childhood was a total lie or at least the one sport that I used to be in participate with siblings. Cheesy

Sports became business a very long time ago, so I won't advise anyone to be a hardcore fanatics of any sport or individual because at the end of the day they get paid in millions and billions while you get nothing other than wasting your valuable time by arguing with someone who is the real goat in that sport.
17  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The best Wager Strategy? on: May 20, 2024, 02:59:37 PM

This is very true and many people don't get that having a VIP level at a casino is not going to make them rich. It is actually a bit of an illusion to believe that you are going to earn anything more than you put in a casino. If it was like that people would have been rich just by playing. Because casinos also have to make money and they aren't a charity.

VIP levels are just an incentive to play more and eventually also lose more. VIP levels imo are good to have at least if you were gonna play that much anyway. But otherwise it's like fool's gold. Don't chase these levels.

It's just a simple strategy from the casinos and generally in the gaming platform to offer ranking up so that it can increase the engagement of the user which is what same applies to casino too but do we really get anything equal for what we risk, definitely not and ofcourse there are people who can claim this is secured way to wager more and reach VIP but there is no such thing, if luck doesn't favor then even that little odd can possibly go wrong.
18  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: CEX P2P under Governments Attack, let's Embrace DEX P2P on: May 20, 2024, 06:55:12 AM
Decentralized p2p exchanges is best where crypto is banned or restricted by the banks and for anyone who seeks ultimate privacy but the main problem with p2p is chargebacks and funds received from hacked bank accounts, PayPal, credit cards, and any payment mode and fiat is the one will be frozen if we are talking about crypto to fiat p2p platforms so if it centralized then we can at least make sure the trader we deal with have the reputation of such while truly decentralized which is uncertain for sure.

Another thing is less liquidity and premium rates and that's what we need to pay if we seek ultimate privacy.
19  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The best Wager Strategy? on: May 19, 2024, 05:26:39 PM
I do find that some people are really concerned about achieving higher ranks in casino accounts but it doesn't make sense to me cause casino is not going to give you free money, all they do is just give the part from your loss which can be one time bonus or regular event but my point is you need to wager to get to that and all it takes just one bad bet to bust the money no matter even if we set the multiplier on dice to the lowest possible because I have been there and still you can loss occasionally with 1.01x too.
20  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Seeing is no longer believing on: May 19, 2024, 02:27:20 PM
Imagine being on a video call and everyone interacting with you are fake?

Which is technically possible but it is not going to be realistic unless all those videos were prerecorded because to process one deep fake video of few second will need few minutes if your hardware is on high end so imagine processing 5 videos on real time that would require pool of graphic resource like a mining pool to get the result that you expect and it won't be same as realistic.

But scammers orchestrate things perfectly and that's how they are pulling money from users, so it is important to be careful and sensible as well.
