Only invest what you can afford to lose.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BBQCoin, the coin you want to eat. on: March 18, 2020, 10:44:35 PM
I agree that this thread should be the best place to post updates etc for the time being. The main problem with the bqc blockchain at the moment is that it is split by two client versions: 0.6.3 (Original source) and 0.10.4.0 (Unverified source).

3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Electroneum a SCAM??? on: December 07, 2017, 12:52:47 AM
For me personally, I find that Electroneum in its current state alienates community members that might be new to Cryptocurrency; having a user-friendly front end with a gentle learning curve would create an increased and more widespread adoption of the vast amount of lower tier traders which are important for promoting a healthy consumer base.

I understand that their website/platform was compromised but they have outsourced that issue to Hackerone who will deal with it which means that the Dev team could be working on the Mobile platforms which were an important part of their marketing campaign.

As it stands Electroneum is just another trade coin which has a basic offline / desktop wallet system and a website that is barely functional; which is not much to show for a staggering $40 million dollar ICO.

Just my opinion of how things are at the moment; maybe the Developers are working hard on the platform's backend or something like that and it will all turn out fine in the end.

I would sell half and invest the other half in something like Litecoin.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoins that might survive in the future? on: August 30, 2017, 10:46:21 PM
The ones with decent volume on any exchange.

If you look for them you will find extremely basic coins with zero services that are still being traded with in excess of 50+ Bitcoins a day.

I would also agree that an International Bank transfer is one of your better choices.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Extremecoin (EXC) - MANDATORY UPGRADE VERSION 1.5 (Kimoto Gravity Well) on: July 15, 2016, 02:23:23 AM
I am so glad to see that member here are still helping to keep the chain moving.

I am going to be working on a client update soon, as it is overdue with the aim being to make difficulty adjustments not so extreme.

A new development website will go live the next couple of weeks aswell.

Thanks go out to anyone who is still using this coin.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Biebercoin - A Crypto-Currency for all of the fans out there. on: October 19, 2015, 05:34:24 PM
We're looking for a community representative from Biebercoin.  Anybody interested?

Well I released it and run its Twitter account.

It started as just a social experiment to see if it would be possible to merge two large support groups, the Crypto community and the Bieber fans.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Influxcoin (INFX) Trading Now Opened at Cryptopia! on: September 17, 2015, 09:29:04 PM
For any new members or anyone interested in Influxcoin the below are some good indicators of this coins potential for success, these are not my opinions, these is factual information.

1) Influxcoin was pre-ann with the coins details and basic outline.

2) This coin had no pre-mine. The Developer mines that same as everyone else, I have seen him mining on Cryptopia and on his new pool.

3) Cryptopia added Influxcoin to their exchange even though it came 3rd in the weekly voting, normally is it only the top two which is always a good indicator of higher investor interest.

4) Two pools that I know of, block explorer, listed on a popular Cryptocurrency Service Network - Cryptopia is not just an exchange, Binaries for all three desktop OS's within just 3 weeks is a great start for any coin.

5) Sensible and practical coin reward amount, generation times, total amount and POS percentage annual interest which are all good indicators of a more serious coin launch.

In my opinion with regards to getting Influxcoin onto other exchanges, I think it would be a nice change to see the exchanges doing some of the legwork in asking the Developer if they can add the coin to their exchange, that way it would show that this coin is gaining increased interest from the coin's (Products) own merits etc.

With every coin that gets released there is always going to be a risk of it not working out or something going wrong but if everyone never took a chance or in this case a more educated decision of what makes a good currency and keeps that coin going for years and not just months.

The only reason for me that this coin got my attention in the first place was the fact it was a simple and solid launch with no pre-mine or strange IPO's.

10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Corgi community foundation on: September 15, 2015, 09:17:41 PM
Dogecoin had better watch out.

Corgi is aiming for the big leagues and I am mined in for the ride :-)
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Influxcoin (INFX) on: September 15, 2015, 07:13:34 PM

Awesome job! I'm there buying up what I can Smiley

So am I, it is such a refreshing change to have a new coin released without a pre-mine or IPO craziness but just a nice and simple, smooth release and with no hidden agendas, as the Dev mined with everyone else.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Influxcoin (INFX) on: August 27, 2015, 01:47:47 PM
It is slow because the coin has been designed by the Dev to be hostile in resistance to rise and fall style miners and Multipools.

A steady global hashrate which should eventually happen overtime will see the blocks become more consistent.

I do have to point out that 7 mins per block is quite long but it helps to increase security against mining based attacks.

I for one think this coin is a breath of fresh air and for once we have a coin released with no pre-mine, no ICO or IPO rubbish.

This is just a straight up coin release and then mine away until it moves to POS with 3% interest which is a sensible amount.

It seems to me that this Dev has spent a decent amount of time thinking at least the development area of this coin out and it should pay off.

I will be investing once it gets on a decent and secure enough exchange.

This coin will need services though. (I can help with this if needed.)

Hi all,

I live near London and I am a Crypto Dev and trader even though I am putting more time into developing a BizSpark backed FPS game right now.

Is there anyway that I can be of use for this coin?

I could compile a Linux QT client if you still need one?

Many thanks

A rescan is strange, I have not had to do that, which version of the Windows client are you using?

I remember that just before the Dev that released this coin vanished, he released "patched" version which was supposed to help with the crashing issue.

That is the Windows client that I have available to download at Zirkcoin.org at the moment.

With so many projects going on at the moment, I really do not see how I am going to have enough spare time to support this Crypto at the development level.

I will try and at least develop and release a much more simple and bare bones client, that does the same job as the current one, just without the bling which could be causing the errors.

What's the news, Captain? We believe and support you.

I am glad that there are still people interested in this coin.

I am in the process this weekend of adding 24/7 client nodes to my high speed Azure Cloud Server, being added, it Zirkcoin, Extremecoin, BBQcoin and Unobtanium, essentially that will be full nodes too.

Once they are all added, I will post the addnode IP.

Thanks.

You can now mine bbqcoin at http://infernopool.com/bbqcoin/

You do know that BBQcoin is Scrypt and not SHA256?

Really interesting to see CaptChadd in the team.

Welcome CaptChadd, long time no see, remember me? Wink

Yes I do, great to see that you are still around :-)

BTW, you ever spoken to LaSeek the last few years? Last I heard he was now a mod over at BTC-e.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [UNO] Unobtanium Info & Discussion - Miners Update to 0.10 on: May 21, 2015, 06:31:41 PM
Hi all,

I am glad and humbled to have been offered the chance to work with such a capable development team and a Crypto-Currency that has such an impressive support network; not just in terms of owning UNO but how highly active the UNO community is on multiple social networks with Reddit being probably the most difficult platform in terms of promotion but one of the most rewarding when in combination with other informational "spider web" based networks.

I will be supporting this impressive digital cryptographic commodity in every way that I can; with my speciality being in the promotional and marketing field first and foremost but also with client development and multi language coding being something that I have self taught since 2011.

Whichever direction the core development team and the community want UNO to go in terms of development and global marketing, I am in for the long term and will direct the attention of investors from some high profile Countries it's way over the next few days.

Thank you all.

20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Extremecoin (EXC) - MANDATORY UPGRADE VERSION 1.5 (Kimoto Gravity Well) on: May 19, 2015, 08:46:05 PM
Yes it is great idea for supporting coin network... Bitnodes accept all currencies that coinpayments is processing and that is much more than those you mentioned. If you can make payment processor for Wordpress using EXC or convince coinpayments to accept EXC I believe Bitnodes will add it to their accepted list. Cheers!

Thanks for quick reply.

I have contacted CoinPayments a few times about EXC but this new service is more evidence as to its support and future worth.

Thank you for your hard work.
