1  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: June 29, 2024, 05:34:34 PM
KCP to Dallas would be great, it would definitely help their shooting a lot which they need very direly. They have to main ball handlers, and their big is good, but they need people who can shoot, a Kyle Korver type of player is missing and with someone like that they could be so much better. I think they do not have what it takes to go back to finals the way they are right now, but if they can strengthen the team a little bit, they could actually do very well. This of course depends on who they get.

Trades are going to eb a little bit chaotic this summer if you ask me, way too many teams feels like they can win the title with right move. Normally there are one or two teams who are dominant, now it looks like at least 6-7 teams feels like they could win with right moves.

Denver Nuggets should offer this guy some good money. He is the only consistent player in their roster when it comes to defense and it affect them so bad on the defensive end once he is gone.
They already let Bruce Brown go, they should not make one more mistake by letting KCP be snatched by other team because once he becomes their opponent, Murray will be stopped by him without any doubt.
Not that I am underestimating Murray but since KCP is already a good defensive player and the plus was he know Murray now as a teammate. His habits will be so visible to KCP.
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Election - Will Trump release Dread Pirate Roberts - Debate this week on: June 29, 2024, 03:22:19 PM

I am having a hard time to find a news article that would tell the truth. It seems like most news outlets have a side and honestly some news are biased.

Anyway, I found this one.
Trump brags about debate performance while New York Times calls for Biden to drop out: Live
https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/us-politics/trump-biden-presidential-debate-highlights-results-rally-b2571119.html?page=4
Quote
President Joe Biden is facing mounting criticisms and calls for him to step out of the 2024 presidential race after his poor performance in the debate against Donald Trump – this time with the New York Times editorial board calling for him to drop out
Biased or not?
Concerns flows about the age of Joe Biden and it's showing, honestly. I guess that debate made him lose some points. He is slower and sick while Trump still moves his lips like an Armalite. Cheesy

Have you guys seen this?
Quote
Biden and Trump are both the focus of separate meme coins—and neither cryptocurrency is performing well on Friday. The Trump-centric MAGA coin was down 13% as of Friday morning, according to CoinMarketCap, while the BIDEN meme coin has nosedived a stunning 70%.
Just for clarification.
Quote
Neither Biden nor Trump were behind the launch of the MAGA or BIDEN coin. The tokens are part of an “experiment” in PoliFi (a fusion of politics and finance) according to marketing director Steven Steele, a YouTube talk show host (who appears to be an ardent Trump supporter, based on his social media posts).
https://www.fastcompany.com/91148739/crypto-traders-react-to-trump-biden-debate

Both meme coins plunged down after the debate. But I don't think that's all the reason behind it. It's meme coin, it should be worthless.

Did they talk about DPR? I might've missed it.
3  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The benefits of Gambling on: June 28, 2024, 12:06:38 PM
This is a cool thread and I think it's important that we talk about it. Gambling taxation is one of the largest money that comes in for one country's government and I think we should be optimistic about it. As long as the government are using it in the right way and not in their pockets.
Look at Vegas, full of lights, full of life, and of the best place for entertainment in the world. I think all that came from the taxes that the government received from them and we don't even know if these business owners are also contributing for the place to be safer and more accommodating.

That's one of the benefits of gambling that cannot be seen in plain view and yet we can still see many who are cursing them for ruining lives. It's on us as gamblers not on them.
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Election - Will Trump release Dread Pirate Roberts - Debate this week on: June 27, 2024, 11:32:56 AM
Let's say he wins and release him, what's next?
Oh, and RFK Jr. said the same thing.
Lmao, unfortunately Biden can't join the group because he's already the president. Cheesy

Yes, and since he cannot join the group of those two running for President, he needs to act that is also about cryptocurrencies.
Here he goes.
Biden administration brings back past crypto adviser Carole House
https://cryptoslate.com/biden-administration-brings-back-past-crypto-adviser-carole-house/

Quote
House said she is “honored to have been called to return to service of absolutely critical mission sets that are necessary to shape the future of secure and trustworthy digital economies.”
Again, the same question. Why now? Cheesy These guys, they are all funny.

It looks like the candidates for President are all targeting about cryptocurrencies because they know the people are hooked there so they are using this strategy to get their votes. I don't even know if it's working. People are wiser now especially those who are into crypto. Because you need to be wise or else you will be scammed or rug pulled. Cheesy

I guess it's all about cryptocurrencies now and it's just normal that a new president should know something about it too.
5  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The real winning of gambling is withdrawals on: June 27, 2024, 06:29:38 AM
Real winners knows when to withdraw, know when to give up, and knows when to say he had enough and let it go.
I've heard it many times before that there's only one way to be a winner in gambling. Once you win a large amount, walk away, never come back, not even a penny or a dollar spent in gambling again. That's a winner.

But I doubt that's easy to do. We always comes back because we are trying to repeat what happened to us but it just doesn't go that way for most gambler who are testing their luck.
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Gary Gensler's SEC sues Crypto Influncers and posts on his Twitter as propaganda on: June 27, 2024, 04:32:41 AM
Chair of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission Gary Gensler sit with Bloomberg for 20 minutes to answer some deep questions.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0KGpPmDJKfM
SEC’s Gensler on the 2024 Agenda

"We do everything within the law."
Alright, in your own point of view. There's obviously some attacks that doesn't look right because he keeps on digging against them even though it's clear that there's nothing harm that was done.

Like what one of the comments in that link said, it could've been better if the interviewer ask questions that's a bit hard hitting questions.

Annmarie: Does it feel political to you?
Gary: Well, (chuckle).
Roll Eyes
I don't know who he is looking at his left side but he takes a lot of time there. I think the helper is there whenever he pauses and can't think of an answer.
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Election - Will Trump release Dread Pirate Roberts - Debate this week on: June 25, 2024, 11:57:34 AM
Why now? Not when he is running for President last time and he won. Is it because of the hype and popularity of Bitcoin especially when the ETF was approved? Yes, there's no other reason for doing this.

I think Trump is trying to get the votes of all the Bitcoin maximalist and the supporters of Ross. And this is another way to bring down his opponent Biden because of the bad image of him in the cryptocurrency community.
But here is the problem, Trump is not so clean too, he was also against cryptocurrencies and just saying he has a change of heart. Well yeah, you will change your heart if you are running for president and trying to get more supporters. They made this politics like Hollywood, all fake, all drama, all scripted, and it's all to manipulate the votes.
Let's say he wins and release him, what's next?
Oh, and RFK Jr. said the same thing.

8  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which is easier, to quit when winning or to quit when losing? on: June 24, 2024, 12:20:23 PM
To quit when winning. When you are satisfied with the amount that you won, it's easier to cash it all out without feeling any regret. That's my opinion on that matter. While when we are losing it's gets harder and harder to stop because you are going for revenge and you want your money back at any way possible. This is actually where it all goes wrong when a gambler tries to chase his losses, he won't stop until he either get back all the losses or he want more win after he acquired the losses back.
Some winners might be greedy but if we have a bracket of when to withdraw then I think we will exit without any trouble.
9  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is this true or some superstitious believe about gambling? on: June 24, 2024, 01:42:50 AM
Anything that is abused is wrong. That's why people are calling it an evil habit because there are those who abused it and never recovered. It's not far from drugs and alcohol where people becomes addicted to and was not able to stop it anymore without the help of a rehabilitation or a therapist.
What the man said was only right when he identifies the gambler who is addicted to it. But to just gamble looking for a bit of fun to get away from boredom is not evil at all. It's an escape from doing nothing the whole day especially those who want to take a rest and enjoy their weekends.
10  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A man is unable to collect his price cos he forget where he bought the ticket. on: June 23, 2024, 04:26:33 AM
This is a problem that only the lottery outlet could answer. Also, I don't think there's an expiration date on the ticket. As long as the ticket is not damaged or anything, the winner could still claim his prize.
There are circumstances where a winner don't want to claim it yet for his own security. As I look at the link provided, the winning prize is not that much but I don't know why the lottery is not giving it to him. Only them could check the legitimacy of the ticket and I think they should've given it and didn't let the news came out. That's just stupid.

Holy mother of everything!
Who Pushed the SEC to Drop the Ethereum Lawsuit, and Why Is Gary Gensler Still Targeting Ripple (XRP)?
Quote
The SEC has closed its investigation into Ethereum, deciding not to pursue charges that ETH sales were securities transactions.
The XRP community is outraged, accusing the SEC of double standards and biased treatment.

SEC Ends Ethereum 2.0 Investigation
Quote
Consensys announced on Tuesday that the SEC’s Enforcement Division has concluded its investigation into Ethereum 2.0 without bringing any charges. The company shared the news on Twitter, highlighting that the SEC would not pursue allegations that sales of ETH constituted securities transactions. This development follows the SEC’s approval of Ethereum spot ETFs last month, a move that Consensys argued underscored ETH’s status as a commodity rather than a security.

https://www.crypto-news-flash.com/who-pushed-the-sec-to-drop-the-ethereum-lawsuit-and-why-is-gary-gensler-still-targeting-ripple-xrp/
But it has not reflected with the value of Ethereum yet.

Ripple Labs is not happy though. They have been fighting against SEC for a long time and this probably hurts the feelings of those who are supporting them.
But I think this is still a great news. Perhaps the chance for SEC dropping the cases of XRP is near too and that will be the time to celebrate.
But who knows, if it's Gary Gensler, there's uncertainty with his decisions and if he really have a beef with XRP, it will take a long time unless someone fires that guy.
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Gary Gensler's SEC sues Crypto Influncers and posts on his Twitter as propaganda on: June 18, 2024, 02:10:18 PM
I found this today. Mark Cuban might be right about this one.

Gary Gensler could ‘literally cost Joe Biden the election’ — Mark Cuban

Quote
The billionaire investor also intimated that any political aspirations Gensler had would amount to nothing due to the SEC chair’s stance against cryptocurrency.

Quote
At the time, he said that crypto voters “will be heard this election,” referring to the 2024 U.S. presidential election. He also warned that “If Joe Biden loses, there is a good chance you will be able to thank Gary Gensler and the New York SEC.”
https://cointelegraph.com/news/gary-gensler-could-literally-cost-joe-biden-cryptocurrency-us-presidential-election-mark-cuban

Crypto voters will be heard. Yes, I am sure of that.
And while Gary Gensler is so busy attacking crypto influencers, big crypto trading companies, and other that have something to do with cryptocurrencies in the US it will get a bad vibes to Joe Biden.
But it is said that Biden is looking for a way to use cryptocurrencies as means for donation in his campaign. I doubt many will be offering their help.
13  Economy / Gambling / Re: How high is the probability of accusations vs. casinos in BitcoinTalk are true? on: June 14, 2024, 10:00:54 AM
I usually ignore this type of accusations especially from new users here in forum. I don't want to read it because if you are brave enough you should be using your main account to face the problem. Not doing it on another account which will probably have less believers in it.

I've seen some who would come forward and tell their experience and it can easily be noticed and supported thanks to the courage he shown. It's true, we must not just believe any accusations that comes out because there are times they are just angry from the losses they experienced.
14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Robinhood purchases the bitcoin price watcher for WO BitStamp for 200 Million on: June 13, 2024, 05:39:17 PM
I'm putting it more as a US based company that has mostly US based clients (Robinhood) wanted to expand their crypto portfolio into more parts of the world and buying BitStamp is a move in that direction.
This way if their crypto trading side gets shut down in the US for some reason they have an non US based platform to keep them going.

Is Robinhood also trying to get away from SEC? I think that's my question here. They are being cornered and politically attacked and I think they just said to themselves, "It's enough. We are buying something that moves outside US and you cannot touch us anymore." Grin Something like that.
15  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: June 13, 2024, 04:37:35 PM
I like that the officials are not calling weak fouls but it must not wreck the game when there's a foul that needed to be called especially when the offensive player was forced to change his shooting form because of it.
I think the officials did not do great today, there's so many bad calls that should've been a let go, then there are weak calls that was called.
Consistency, that's their problem.
The Celtics might sweep the Mavericks this series but I hope the official will have a long meeting about all these questionable calls.
16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon musk is for crypto or just for attention to boost Tesla, SpaceX? on: June 13, 2024, 02:20:53 PM
Anyone who knows anything about chatgpt would understand that it doesn't have anything to do with "intelligence". It's basically fancy text prediction bot that's based on statistical correlations. How do i know this while i don't even code and he does not?
I don't think it's about the AI or anything, it's about the business, he is doing this to take out the competition and he want his own project to be the one injected on their products. That's one way on how to stop something to make a move, a threat. Cheesy

Elon Musk threatens to ban Apple devices from his companies

This is big coming from him. It could make an impact to the market of Apple because I bet most of their equipment are using an Apple brand but it's also going to hit him with his financials if ever he takes this leap. Changing all those equipment because of this will be a lot of money spending.
Again, the power of his words against a big company. This will be a big fight. Grin
His concern is valid and reasonable but will this lead to totally broken business cooperation among Elon's companies and Apple, OpenAI, I suspect it will move to this way.

One way or another, soon they will come to agreement and the possibility is no OS-integration of OpenAI in Apple's iOS and their devices. Musk knows that how big iOS is and he will create massive problems for his companies, staffs and users of Tesla, SpaceX and other companies he owned by doing this serious movement. Dust will settle down like how he withdrawn his lawsuits against OpenAI and their found Sam.
It will. But what else is his option here in case Apple continue to use the said AI? I think he will have a hard time finding an equipment as good as Apple and it will probably just be a waste of resources if he continue to do so. That's an unwise move as a businessman just because of this kind of update.
If Apple will weigh the number of buyers of their product against the whole company of Elon, well I think there's more buyer outside that one company only.
It's his posts that is trying to stain the name of them which I think will hurt them becuase of the number of Elon's followers who might do the same.

This is also where I side with them. Keeping the cryptocurrency community clean not taking everything down.
Scams, rug pull projects, and more are happening in the crypto space and they are not seen because they are just small projects. Yet, these developers are still making a ton because they keep on pulling the plug whenever they got the money and then make another to do it over and over again.
In this case, a celebrity advertised it so it was seen. What about the victims with average investments that becomes victim of low key projects that ain't seen on the spotlight? I think SEC's actions should be on this matter and not trying to break down legitimate projects that already  made their roots in the industry.
19  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are online/crypto casinos the most profitable digital business? on: June 02, 2024, 05:25:39 PM
You need money, that's for sure. I cannot think of anything that cannot be done by money. Cheesy It's always about it.
It's a good choice if you ask me. An online gambling casino is probably the best industry to make a lot of profits nowadays. I have even seen a lot of Vegas physical casinos that are switching to online gambling because of how they can reach more people without the need to go to their business place.
I think it's worth a lot of money but the returns will probably be good too because they won't be risking it if they don't think so.
20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon musk is for crypto or just for attention to boost Tesla, SpaceX? on: June 02, 2024, 05:00:28 PM
I do not trust Elon tbh... he might get more profit with his doge manipulation
Dude, that's the target on why he is boosting it. To make more money. I thought that was pretty obvious. Imagine doing it for no good reason. Just for fun. That will be the stupidest thing that he would do as one of the popular names in the world.

I don't understand Elon Musk's intentions. Are you a person who has everything in life for money? Do you want more money? I don't know, but I think Elon loves him, because I don't see any other way for him to be a person like that. He spoke badly about bitcoin and that condemned the most experts to go against him, and the bitcoin community doesn't accept him very much, almost I don't do it because it seems to me that he is an egocentric person, and he is also a very millionaire person, with many plans and projects even to go to other planets, so what I think he wants is more attention for him, for them to adore him and for them to say which is the best, all that egocentrism, I still remember when he spoke badly about bitcoin and made it drop in price.
He didn't just talk bad, he sold a huge chunk of his investment, that is why.
Regarding his ego, well he is rich, most rich people have lots of that. But I don't think we can go against it because he has the brain, history, and business to back it up. All we could do is criticize him but if you are not a popular person, that won't matter to them.

Attention. He badly needs that. For a business to grow you must always be on the hype. What he is doing is trying to be on top of that hype so that his expensive products can be bought and it will grow more to more expensive items.

I am neutral when it comes to him. I think he is good for the world and yet can cause chaos too if not controlled right.
