1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance launches Notcoin (NOT) on launchpool. on: May 24, 2024, 01:49:49 PM
Notcoin is presenting another around of opportunity to the public and maybe for those who missed its first loud entry into this industry. I know so many will rush into it. But this isn't the usual Tap2Earn stuff. It's stake to earn. I guess this opportunity to stake is available to those who didn't withdraw their mined tokens out of the Notcoin telegram bot to any exchange during the last round. However, those who did or those who wish to join new are also welcomed. Only that they will have to do some task on the bot to earn and then stake. I guess the Ton chain has enough money to take more people in. For those who are scared that Notcoin is a dump and won't rise in price because of its current price, they will be shocked soon. I think this round started yesterday or so.

Also remember the risk wey dey Airdrop, use separate wallet for Airdrop, observe well before you do anyone bcos some na waste of time.
Na d koko be dat. I don mention dis same thing about using different wallets/burner for airdrops. Creating wallets nor dey take pass 3 to 5 minutes. So, make we nor go dey think sey e dey take time. Again, make we dey always make sure to back owa wallet apps and write out owa seedphrases somewhere safe.

About d airdrop thing, ICE fall many people hands, including me. Na just NOT wey bring back owa morale by making us smile to d bank. We nor know which other ones go pay us, not even Tapswap. Airdrop na game of chance. NOTcoin pay me too.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Pi Network Token is to be listed in Binance Soon. on: May 21, 2024, 02:06:40 AM
if anyone should announce it, it should be binance...
Exactly my observation too with the announcement and wrong spelling of Network. If there was anything I learnt in 2017/18 in this space, it should be what Binance said then that it would always be the first to announce any project it's listing on its site before even a project would do. It went further to state that once a project wasn't announced on its Binance site, it was a scam. That was why when I heard about Notcoin listing on Binance, I quickly went to check on Binance site. It was on its notification. I encourage everyone to disregard the Pi announcement. It's false. BTW, did anyone even notice the said listing price 😂
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin season, will it come next months? on: May 21, 2024, 01:53:13 AM
If you see the graphics above is insightful and contains fact in this market, Bitcoin and Ethereum already shown their roles and next months will be for an altcoin season.
Don't be quick to forget that Ethereum is also an altcoin. So, when referring to altcoin season; ETH is also included. By the way, I don't understand what you actually meant by ETH outperforming Bitcoin when we know that Bitcoin dominance of the market is still above 51% while ETH has 16%. There's still a huge gap.
5  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How you trade in uncertain times? on: May 20, 2024, 07:07:08 PM
So, what strategies can you advise especially in protecting our capital, some technical analysis strategies? OR some diversification tactics between stablecoins, bitcoin, or altcoins?

Share some of your experiences or tips on effectively trading in these uncertain times.
The market isn't a perfect place for assurance. That's why speculation is the order of the day in this industry. If the market is very volatile and I don't know what bias (direction) to follow, I steer clear off the market. I don't like trying to dictate to the market what to do because I feel compulsion towards a particular direction. No! That's a wrong move. Besides, there's no point being in the market when one doesn't have any business doing so. No one has to constantly be in the market because one wants to wear that "I'm a trader" tag. What matters in trading is the profit one makes and not the number of times one trades.
6  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Seeing is no longer believing on: May 20, 2024, 05:33:10 AM
If you are curious, find the projects telegram group and ask questions, and post screenshots on the group, I am positive that people will stop you from getting scammed, they will be exposed to you that you are about to get scammed, sadly we have gotten to this stage only to end up having more confusing tools for scammers, all we can do is warn each other of the threats that lurk
This is the first thing to do, and that's what I've been doing. It clears every doubt. We've all been victims one way or the other on various projects and we learnt from such experiences. I still won't blame the victim in your narrative. Scammers are very smart and they put in hardwork into their craft. Most of these scammers are developers and project members and they know the loopholes and how to make shortcuts around them.

For me, a few private sales I've been involved in were from insiders in the projects. I made so much mistakes in the past during the ICO days of 2017/18 that I lost interest in anything private sales. I'm building the interest again but it must be through reputable people I know who are insiders before I invest in any project this day. Sometimes we want to lose our guards in private sales because of the mouth watering ROI and then throw caution to the wind and not be guarded by our investment principles. We shouldn't do that. We ought to stick to whatever scrutiny parameters we use.

I don't actually like to participate in such an annoying project trying to make claiming difficult for participatants.
The annoying part of it is when projects would allow people mine for several months without telling them ab initio what chain they would list on. If from the beginning I know a project is listing on something like ETH, I always avoid that no matter how promising it's.

The success of a cryptocurrency project depends on so many factors.
The major factor to the best of my knowledge is community. If a project has a strong community backing it, it hardly fails. That's what we've with Bitcoin. We find that too with Dogecoin, XRP, Shib, and even the latest one – Notcoin. Community will hype any project and more cash will flow in that direction as investment. Such action will strengthen the project the more.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: is it still to Invest into meme coins? on: May 19, 2024, 04:04:58 PM
One of the main indicators that a memecoin is likely to fail to gain traction is if the 'memecoin' tries to do things and take things seriously rather than solely just be what a memecoin should be — a meme.
We've seen memes that metamorphosed into coins/tokens with utilities and have projects built on them long after they already listed on the market. There are many of them. Dogecoin and Shiba Inu are classical examples of this.

However, and notably too, the best way to profit from memes is to get in quick. Otherwise, whether a meme is a serious project or not, one can still not make money from it.

Lucky those who withdraw from notcoin app to Bybit. Atleast they got some suprise reward for users. It seems they are the one leading in any case overtaking Binance.
Well, not many of those affected would think the $30 worth of token given as compensation by Bybit is anything. I wouldn't think so either if I were affected. I withdrew to Binance and sold at $0.01 range a few minutes trading opened up. The difference in my selling price and what sold on Bybit when it was rectified was worth more than $100. Again, the compensatory reward can only be traded on the exchange and can't be withdrawn. While I applaud Bybit for the damage control, I don't think it's enough.
10  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: What if an exchange refuse? on: May 18, 2024, 04:55:57 AM
What can do the government do?
Well, many things full ground wey govment fit do and owa brethren above dem don analyse most of them. It boils down to sanctions and fines. No business go like dey at loggerheads wit govment and na im make businesses dey quickly reason with govment. Afta God na govment. It's scary what dis Tinubu govment fit even do. Dem fit even force Google to deny us access to crypto access sef. Na dat wan go make people grow cornrows for head because kasala go burst be dat. End game.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance launches Notcoin (NOT) on launchpool. on: May 16, 2024, 01:29:40 PM
I expect 0.008

EDIT: and i was right. that was launch price on binance more or less.
i sold at a little more than 0.01
I guess you were close to the mark. It listed slightly above 0.009 and it was a good price for me for a token that was in billions and so many people got it for free. I suspect the team was involved in the high buying orders we see. It's a good way to prevent huge dump. This is my biggest airdrop win and I believe many people are happy with the listing. It's just that those who sent theirs to OKX and Bybit are having a poor price compared to those who used Binance. In all, it's free cash for all. Kudos to probably nothing.
12  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Kucoin suspended P2P in Nigeria on: May 16, 2024, 11:17:05 AM
With this experience so far from the current administration, upon after making campaign promises mostly around the subject of cryptocurrency, it makes me wonder if Donald Trump who is currently running for president of United States, won't get to do same if peradventure, he gets elected and is expected to fulfill his promise of supporting cryptocurrency in the country.
The US is a better structured country. Trump nor go fit try am and go free. There, leaders dey dey careful wit wetin dem dey talk because d citizens go hold dem accountable. Naija na a different case where money bags get mouth and dey form skoraw.

Quote
It's very depressing to see the government hell bent on frustrating new initiatives mostly as concerns cryptocurrency advancement in the country, all because they want money from the exchanges and want to keep tabs on the poorer citizens who have no way to be financially dependent.
D main aim sef fit to nor be d tax. The ones wey dem dey get, wetin dem dey do with d money? E fit be sey na just to cripple the financial independence of citizens so dey can always bow dem at every call. Una fit call am conspiracy theory but na d way I see am. Which other way persin fit explain a govment wey dey try destroy its people financially if not be dat.
13  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Kucoin suspended P2P in Nigeria on: May 16, 2024, 06:06:45 AM
Na those of us here wey supported dis govment during d elections I wan even read their own side of dis whole thing first. Wen we dey talk sey dis govment nor go good for owa bodi dem think sey we be haters. Owa people sey na d smell of fart dem dey take know d taste of shit. Wen dat memo banning some exchanges leaked, CBN rushed deny am as fake news but we see as e dey play now. I know sey na one afta d other dem go take block P2P on all major exchanges

Shey we dey see am now? Dis administration won't stop until dem sqeeze dis nation to near death. The main issue of security and production dey there for dem to tackle but dem leave am dey chase wetin nor loss.

While I acknowledge that nothing lasts forever, I've to admit that this was unexpected. At least, there wasn't any sign of trouble anywhere. I sincerely hope BestChange isn't shutting down its promotion here because of any issue apart from it trying to rework its business strategy.

I'm very grateful as one of those that promoted this prestigious company.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What did you think about the future of dogecoin? on: May 14, 2024, 10:59:27 PM
What did you think about the future of dogecoin?
Is it going to do well in the future?
A coin that has seen a few bear seasons, the lows and highs of this market yet it's still there shouldn't be toyed with. It deserves its flowers. That's the way I respond to your questions. Dogecoin has a bright future. I don't even like referring to it as a memecoin, having used it for payment a few times. Transaction speed is jaw dropping and fee is very low. Those two attributes will continue to endear it to users.

To your last question, the choice is yours to make. However, I expect that Dogecoin should soar once alts season sets in. Just make sure to take profit once that begins to happen instead of continuing hodling without cutting off some profit.
16  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How active can a newbie be daily? on: May 14, 2024, 06:49:18 PM
I ask most of my friends here how can a newbie grow on this forum, they all keep saying, if you want to grow you need to be active on the forum,
Your friends didn't lie on that. That's true. How will anyone who seeks to grow in knowledge and maybe also in ranks not want to be active in a forum or in a group to learn? They should be because growth comes from knowledge.

Quote
My question is what does it mean to be active on the forum,
How many quality Posts can someone make daily before he or she can be considered active on this forum, sorry I ask a lot of questions so u can learn too.
I think the counting of posts thing will depend if the member is in a signature campaign or not which demands they meet up their weekly quota. Ordinarily, two to three posts weekly still makes one active.

BTW, just opening our profile daily even without making any post also qualifies us as been active.

And if this finds success, they might focus or either launch another one which could be another flow big cash on it.
To be sincere, I wouldn't be as excited as I'm now with Notcoin if the team decides to float another project immediately after this because of the success of Notcoin. I still remember how the Ton network floated TonPet on fair launch following the huge success oif its first memetoken, Tonfish. TonPet became a big failure.

i farmed about 80k NOT so far.

meh this is gonna be very average. those launchpools are getting worse by the day
What do you mean by launchpads getting worse by the day? As far as I know, the Notcoin project only got on Binance and OKX launchpads yesterday. It's still ongoing and will end on the 16th May.
18  Economy / Economics / Re: Digital Bank on: May 14, 2024, 08:14:20 AM
I was very much resistant of using a digital bank for a very long time until I was persuaded severally to open an account with them. Finally this year I did open an account with one of the digital banks in my country and it has been a very nice experience. They do not extort their customers unnecessarily as the traditional banks deal without remorse. They also do not charge for SMS alert as they do not send any text message to your phone, the offer limited free transaction fee. With their apps you can pay all kinds of utility bill which you might not even see in the traditional banks. Recently, their activities have not been going well in my country, it seems that the government are beginning to over tax them and give them some conditions which they cannot meet.
That feeling of skepticism, pessimism and reluctance is always there while confronting or embracing new technologies. I also felt the same way you did before I finally embraced a few of them last year. Since then it has been very smooth transaction experiences for me. In fact, I always make it a point of duty to move funds to them whenever I need to make online transfers in any environment where I suspect network might be an issue for the big-for-nothing traditional banks. Again, one can easily keep money in any of their save to earn and make daily interest and that's not even adding the free daily transfer transactions one makes on them which traditional banks charge for. As for security, the ones in my country are insured by the central bank and that gives them legitimacy.

~snipped~
Totally surprising for a tap-tap kind of game on telegram do able to reach out Binance on its first listing not only into this platform but also in other exchangers as well ...
That's where it gets very interesting. Binance isn't a mere exchange. It's a big task getting a project on its platform whether directly or through its launchpad, or through its latest addition – Megadrop. There must be something Notcoin is getting right and the money bag behind it that makes its listing on Tier 1 exchanges possible. Not even Toncoin is listed yet on Binance. But there we're with Notcoin on it and a launchpad happening too for the same Notcoin. For those who want to dump and move on once it lists, they could've a big surprise how price will surge after it dips at listing. This isn't a financial advice for anyone to buy or not to dump and take profit. It's just me stating my opinion from my perception on what could happen.
20  Economy / Economics / Re: Oil producing countries experiencing hardship. on: May 14, 2024, 06:34:38 AM
Most of the comments on this thread are questioning the OP about how he got his information on oil producing countries facing hardship, although some oil producing countries like Saudi Arabia and Qatar, are utilizing the proceeds of their crude oil sales for the development of their countries, there are others that have backyard economies.
Your examples with Saudi Arabia and Qatar are good enough to point OP in the right against their hasty generalization. We shouldn't use a misnomer as yardstick for judgment on larger scale. Africa is a bad case here and I believe it doesn't apply to the rest developed countries of the world.

Quote
I come from a country that is blessed with crude oil, and is exporting it, but ironically our economy is nothing to write home about, many impoverished people and lack of essential amenities like electricity supply.
I guess OP wrote with such memory of countries that have allowed corruption eat into them to the point that the geese that lay the golden eggs for them are neglected. Nigeria is a good example of countries with crude oil as natural resource yet the regions producing it are suffering deprivation. These regions are so deplorable that no one outside those regions would wish oil were discovered in their region.
