Wasabi dev praising for someone's death.
That's a strong reason enough for me not to have anything to do with that Wasabi project.

What? @o_e_l_e_o is facing the inevitability of mortality and someone is somewhere rejoicing like they're immune to death? That's a serious dickhead, if you asked me. Really disgusting.

From afar, and having read many of your posts o_e_l_e_o, I'm compelled to confess that you made a tremendous impact on this forum. I feel saddened by this health issue of yours. I hope a miracle happens that turns things around for you.

Probably some nodes have already deleted these transactions. According to the rules, they can stay in the mempool for no more than 334 hours. The coins must be returned to the sender.
Oh, you're the same person as OP or you're deputizing for them? Anyway, so what's the way forward you would suggest now as I haven't got the coins back?
403  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Satoshi Nakamoto remove the 21 million BTC limit? on: January 20, 2024, 03:22:52 PM
The thought of Bitcoin increasing more than its initial 21 million cap is a fright to start with. Everyone knows that will kill Bitcoin and inversely, the crypto industry. I've yet to see any project whose initial cap got increased and it retained its performance before tokens were added. It has always been the near death of such a project. A few projects I invested in that did that actually couldn't recover from such action. They rebranded and moved to other chains, yet it ended in futility. Those where even projects said to be centralized. If such happens to a decentralized project like Bitcoin the community's confident level will nosedive immediately. I wouldn't put a cent on it, myself.
404  Economy / Economics / Re: Passion for skills. on: January 20, 2024, 01:28:13 PM
What skills are you currently learning or have learned and are earning from, and what is the reason why you picked it?
Seek knowledge and then transfer it to skills. Nothing beats that. It may not pay you immediately but over time with consistency you will reap from it. That was my mindset a few years ago. That's still my mindset now. The sad thing is that many people want immediate gratification and wouldn't want to continue with what gives them joy and fulfilment even when it hasn't started bringing in ROI/cash. One should've a long term projection and evaluation of the type of skills one wants to acquire, take stock of those who are into it and evaluate their lifestyles if their engagements are sustaining them or not.

I'm an online trader. I'm very happy I took that decision a few years ago. Nothing beats the feeling of making money from the comfort of one's home. I encourage everyone here to go into skill acquisition. Paper certificate won't guarantee putting food on anyone's table but skills will do just that almost effortlessly. I speak from the experience of the situation in my country. Paper certificate is almost a cliché now.

For those who find trading difficult or think it's gambling, they can try acquiring trending and future sustaining skills in Blockchain, Artificial intelligence, Cloud Computing, Software Development, Digital Marketing or Programming. Any of these will still be in vogue a few decades to come. Don't dull on it.

The list of incorrect claims will continue for no reason other than developers want to scam investors ...
You're right there but I don't even want to see it as a claim, looking at the operative word there – "May". What I see there is an OP who evidently doesn't believe in what they're saying to start with. There's lack of certainty that would've placed OP's comment at the point of claim. "Will" should've been a compelling word. Anyway, that's just about it. I expect more flimsy and worthless tokens to debut as we head into the bull season. This is that period we've be sounding warnings. Newbies should be careful with what they're investing in. I ain't saying this is a scam but when a noob account posts something like that, promoting an unknown project; everyone should be on a red alert.
406  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Head up for newbies on: January 19, 2024, 01:15:31 PM
...Just wanted to give everyone a heads up .
I'm not sure you succeeded in giving "a heads up ." that you outlined as you didn't conclude what your point was there. You just left it on the middle, inconclusively. Again, you can't base a warning on assumption of what you thought happened. Anyway, I don't see anything wrong with people sharing other people's posts, whether for merit or for lessons, provided they include source links to them. I posted in WO a couple of times in the past. My only problem there is the constant ceaseless spam posts that go on there.

408  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is the bull run begun ? on: January 16, 2024, 07:04:07 PM
Looking at the current run of Bitcoin people will surely say it is a bull market, but I would say no. Because the bull market hasn't started yet but is about to start when Bitcoin halves next year. As our Bitcoin halving is more likely in April 2024, we will see a Bitcoin bull run next year in 2025.
Many people are looking at the halving event to determine the bull run but unknown to them that Bitcoin has been bullish since the last quarters of 2023. Price stalled at different levels but it certainly didn't disappoint as it shook the drag down off and continued north. If anyone is waiting for halving in April before they buy, they're most likely going to miss a fair price. For me, price always rallied up a few days before the halving event proper. From the last experience I had in 2020, ATH is expected to be a year after halving. It could be around the month of halving too. Nevertheless, I would like you know that this isn't a financial advice. I'm also just speculating.
409  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are your doing for now? on: January 16, 2024, 04:50:17 PM
2 Selling altcoins, to buy more cheap during halving
This is what I'm doing at present but it's on certain tokens I understand their dynamics because of their programmes. Once there's an announcement on them, I scale the news to know whether to sell off and rebuy at a later date or buy up immediately. So far, so good. They've been churning out great results for me and I'm increasing my quantities of them and sometimes take out profit for bread 🤔

4 just watching the market like me
That option is a bad one. It's the last thing anyone should be doing at a time like this if they're in this forum. I mean, this forum is providing insights on the goings-on in the market to a large extent. So, why should anyone stay on the sidelines and watch without taking part in what's happening. Bull run is around the corner and I want to urge everyone to sit up and position themselves for it.

411  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can I become a professional trader? on: January 16, 2024, 02:15:24 PM
After searching various online platforms youtube twitter different places I realized that if I want to do cryptocurrency trading it is very important for me to learn many things first including -

  • Technical analysis
  • Fundamental analysis
  • Candle Analysis
Candle analysis as you called it doesn't exist as an entity on its own. It's a part of TA, technical analysis. Anyway, I've read of analysts talk about a third type of analysis called Sentiment Analysis. For me, the SA is also Fundamental Analysis as it's majorly what happens in news, of FOMO and FUD. So, the whole thing boils down to two – TA and FA.

On whether you can become a professional trader, I think you jumped the gun. You've to become an amateur trader before going pro, right? Going pro means earning a living consistently from trading. It's doable but you've to put in the works first. Learn the set skills and master them. Trading isn't that hard that it can't be learned. Get source materials and have a dedicated mentor you take instructions from until you master the ropes. However, while at it, know that trading is basically a speculative thing and that no one holds the holy grail. Even pro–traders also have moments the market messes with their brains. Any trader who tells you they don't suffer losses from time to time is a liar. What matters at the end is the ability to stay consistent on the blue line and let it surpass the red line.
412  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's the view of an average citizen About crypto currencies on: January 16, 2024, 01:42:15 PM
I can say the view of an average citizen concerning cryptocurrencies are mixed. To the optimists, they think any investment in cryptos is a shortcut to turning their poor status to affluence over night. To the pessimists, they think it's another scam waiting to happen. So the steer clear of it. While to the rest of us "shrewd" believers we think it's an investment that can go either way but should be handled with extreme carefulness to get the best out of it.

Bitcoin is a digital currency that has come to stay, as long as the internet stays , most persons that didn't believe in Bitcoin 10years ago regretted it, that will be also be the case for people who don't be in it now come 2034.so think positively take the risk and Investment in Bitcoin today.
I first heard of Bitcoin around December of 2016 and I immediately took that decision to embrace it without dillydallying on it. Even at that I still feel a bit sad I didn't know earlier. I just can't imagine how those who knew of it in 2009/2010 but never took the risk to invest in it would feel. I would be beating myself dead if I were one of them.
413  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't only pray for mass adoption, start HODLING!! on: January 16, 2024, 10:56:35 AM
And I think that everyone is so hooked up on the next big news of mass adoption without even knowing that this news would only favour one set of bitcoin enthusiast the "hodlers"
Many Bitcoin fans will miss that part, even those here who've heard us preach "buy, accumulate and hodl". It will feel like a nightmare to these ones when bull rally begins. That moment is almost here upon us. It's looking like nothing much will happen in price of Bitcoin now but just wait and see what happens a few months down the line. Only those who've positioned themselves will feel the glorious moment, and not those who FOMO it but don't have any. It will be a sad experience for anyone here who won't hodl when the time comes. No one needs to hold 1 BTC if they can't afford it but just make sure to hodl a bit of it. Who knows, this halving might be the last time Bitcoin will have a geometric leap as that might change once there's regulation.
414  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Rise and Fall of ICOs: Lessons Learned on: January 16, 2024, 09:21:11 AM
Share your war stories, victories, and facepalms. What lessons did you learn from the ICO rollercoaster?
Oh, yeah! This is taking me through memory lane remembering those glorious (and later sad) days of ICOs. I was a noob that year, 2017. How I felt every ICO I managed to get into was the hidden treasure. Now I know better. It was a year that saw a preponderance of lending coins birthed through ICOs. Well, even with mixed feelings looking back now (of how I could've saved myself), I still want to take the lessons learned from all that. We've a modern version of ICOs now as IDOs. Yes, some people may argue that there's a difference as the latter is done on Dexs but my point is that there's no guarantee that an IDO will also make you money too. For an investor, what matters is ROI.

Anyway, to be honest, I've profited more from IDOs than I did with ICOs. Most times what I do with IDOs is wait for a dump after listing if I can't get an allocation because of the tier I'm on. Of course, experience has taught me that projects always dump after listing. Yes, they surely do. Just wait for that dump moment (most times, below listing price). Do this too for any project with a hype. Once you aren't fast to get in before listing, don't rush and buy once it's listed. Give it time (days and some times even weeks) to dump well.
415  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Notcoin real? on: January 16, 2024, 07:41:42 AM
It's a mining app and no one can tell you of certain what's next with it, just like with every other mining apps on phone. It seems we're having a reawakening of mining apps. Some of them have redeemed their promises by releasing mined points to those who mined them or got listed on exchanges. I guess that's why we now have an influx of this. Notcoin may be real, it may be fake. You never can tell. However, since no cash is demanded for mining it we can't say it's a scam. You may want to give it a try.
416  Other / Meta / Re: The effect the mixer ban has had on the forum. on: January 15, 2024, 08:00:43 PM
Poker Player, I like the perspective and concern you shared with this thread of yours. You share in my thought too concerning the increased traffic that should be expected at the new site – altcoinstalk. However, I don't quite agree with your choice of "shitcoinstalks.com" for that site. It's almost like you're already beating it up. Come to think of it, members from here who are teleporting to that forum aren't lightweight and we should expect a tremendous change there soon.

I wouldn't worry about it too much. Does any organic traffic actually land at that site? Not really. Does it have posts by Satoshi, Hal, Vitalik & other crypto-luminaries of our time? No. Does it have 12 years worth of content & backlinks? No.
That site may be at a disadvantage today compared to BTT but that doesn't exclude a certain level of growth there that we know is coming. We should surely expect a resurgence and adjustment in posting pattern in weeks to come and that will surely increase traffic there. Rome wasn't built in a day, was it? I think we should just give it some time, perhaps a year before making these comparisons and conclusions.
417  Other / Meta / Re: Did you notice something a little weird? on: January 15, 2024, 05:53:38 PM
Yes, what OP described is true. I noticed it too and it used to bother me in the past as I would wait and be eager to see any merit I sent reflect on the receiver's profile. However, at a point I stopped getting bothered. All I do now is check if the merit I send reflects on the post I put it on and that's it. I just move on to other things. I guess the delay has to do with the software used by this forum. It's nothing much of a worry, actually; let alone being tagged weird.
418  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are there any chances of success? on: January 15, 2024, 04:46:38 PM
A day before, I read a post of Vitalik Buterin and one of the point he mentioned was your portfolio needs to be boring. And you've got one of the boring portfolio which could be one of the best choice when the bull actually arrives.
I'm not a soothsayer but I don't think the choice of XRP will amount to much. This isn't me talking down on that project but as someone who has followed it right from its days as Ripple till date, I would say it has been really disappointing. Yeah, I know all about its brouhaha with SEC but what about the numerous partnerships it garnered over the years, yet price is still on the floor literally? As for LTC, maybe this bull run will shoot it up but for where it's, that's a poor showing after its halving last year. Let's keep watching what price it gets to once the real bull kicks in. For other tokens on the list, not a bad choice made by OP.
419  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as P2P currency vs Bitcoin as an asset on: January 15, 2024, 04:34:16 PM
I added a poll to this post so I recommend you venture casting a vote on what aspect you use Bitcoin the most.
I abstained from voting as my option wasn't there. I would've loved to see an option that covers my thought process of Bitcoin and that's – Bitcoin is more of an asset than P2P. Saying it's equally P2P as asset makes it look like a 50/50 thing. Definitely, it's not. We're all gearing towards a bull rally and preaching hodling just like realtors would advise clients buying land to hodl on once they know a big company is coming their way to buy too. Once that happens, price of land in that vicinity shoots up. It's the same thing we're expecting after halving. P2P is more of exchange for goods and services or regular payment. Such won't give anyone the excitement of making a crazy ROI like we anticipate with Bitcoin.
420  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Anyway to be smart about this? on: January 15, 2024, 10:30:44 AM
A wallet specifically for Bitcoin alone is called a Bitcoin wallet while those that contain more cryptos are called crypto wallets.
Wouldn't the most appropriate term be a multi-coin/multi-crypto wallet.
Well, I think it's a matter of being politically correct or legalistic. As for a wallet being tagged multi-crypto or multi–coin, it passes the same message as a crypto wallet. Since we all know that Bitcoin is the only coin that isn't an alt or referred to as crypto, there shouldn't be any conflict of interest. The point of interest in my earlier observation is so newbies don't mistake any wallet that's solely for Bitcoin as crypto wallet or vice versa. By the way, most crypto wallets now have Bitcoin addresses enabled on them. Every dev wants to court the friendship of Bitcoin.
