Anonymous, but already being blamed (indirectly) in case things yet again fail to go according to plan:

Since Jumbly asked, I've gotten further information about the PSU situation and how it's being handled that I'm able to share.

    1.  The PSU company has agreed to assume full responsibility for the bad PSU's

    2.  Black Arrow tried to convince them to send everyone a replacement, but they are not really wanting to do that.

    3.  The problem is that the PSU company already produced all the units.  They don't really want to take them all back and repair them.  So they are now saying, they want to manufacture a new model with a new board, but Black Arrow thinks this will take too long.  So far, the PSU company has not said how long this will take.

    4.  Black Arrow is working in the meantime on an adapter that people can use with an HP Server PSU instead if it takes the PSU company too long.

    5.  Black Arrow has been told by their new manufacturers that all of the X3's will be produced before the end of October.  Note, this is what their manufacturer has told them.  It is not a promise that BA is making about it.  By then, either the PSU situation will be handled, or the adapter will be completed.

Why on earth would they do a "HP Server PSU" adapter....!? seriously BA.. get your head through this and do a standard ATX adaptor.. anything else would be completely insane.. You would then be forcing people to either hack something themself or go spend even more money than they have already..

In a totally different and not-related-to-their-ethics topic..

Anyone got any ideas on this problem..?

After moving my X-1's to a different location its like the miners are unresponsive - not taking DHCP address properly I think?

When i run the miner manager I find:

239.71.000.000
239.71.000.001

and then I enter the

http://prospero.blac...owsoftware.com/

it shows:

Updated MAC 2014-08-21 10:58 baac084401c6 https://192.168.10.14

date makes no sense does it? - I just put em online today.

And I cannot access the miners via the link above..

I'v looked at the switch they are connected to, and i do not see any mac address beginning with "baac" ... :/

I believe that we have already informed our customers of this: We are currently waiting for CE to check the X3. Until completed, no shipment can be made.

We would like to ask forum users to stop flooding the thread with obscene messages.

Thank you for your patience.

Any word on our compensation?

This is the picture of my miner which is hidden after the drawer set under my desk in office.
That is 160Gh per board, and no electricity expenses and internet expenses...

Interesting firehazard you got going on there.. :/

Maybe they are out of bussiness, difficulty killed them

Doubt it. And bitmain was online at 08:02..

My guess, updating website at the moment getting ready for launch. But, I do think they will price is higher than what we expected due to the low bitcoin price .. - again, they can always just mine with the unsold gear themselves.

So, Bitmain... When are you gonna pop open the S4 race? - You said last week? Smiley ... lets not start a BA race "next week"  Grin
108  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S4 2TH/s, Batch 1 on Sale this week, shipping before Sept. Ends on: September 22, 2014, 08:44:43 AM
Friedcat just thru a wrench in the works.. Selling 1.4TH/s rigs for less than 1BTC/TH or 1.064 shipped outside China. That will put a roof on the S4 price, I say 2BTC shipped.
The power consumption on friedcat's rigs is S2 specs.  1w/Gh.  I'm pretty sure the S4 will be in the .6W/Gh range.  I like friedcat and his products but at this time he's 4 months behind bitmain.  There's a reason his rigs are cheap.

Bet you a lot hes mining with the next gen gear right now himself. Just selling off his old stuff. Easy extra profit.

Anyone else thinks this device will use 3U ? or is just me? Maybe the PSU won't let Bitmain do the change. But how knows.

Could be they spend some time getting a proper sized PSU from somewhere in china.. shouldnt be too big of a deal if they order 50.000 of them

113  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Black Arrow 28nm 100Ghash Bitcoin ASIC from $0.49/GH/s on: September 06, 2014, 09:57:55 PM
Is this a new trend on this topic? I am not drunk, but I'm seeing A LOT multiple posts from the same person. Is this something like the macarena dance?

People repasting stuff thats been deleted by BA basically..
114  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Announcement: Bitmain launches AntMiner solution, 0.68 J/GH on chip on: September 04, 2014, 03:10:30 PM
@BITMAIN & @hashnest.com, I wish you would offer more support here on the forum than just putting new announcements up. People try to interact with you, but you barely notice and reply to inquiries mentioned in comments.

Hi,

What can we do for you? We usually check PMs, emails and tickets from time to time Smiley

Please tell us how much this free hashing is? 1ghs/person ?
115  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: What is the best profitable hardware to buy right now besides butterflylabs? on: September 04, 2014, 10:12:44 AM
friedcat seem to be the cheapest currently. But requires some DIY from what i can see.

Alternative if you want a hitnrun go with the S3.

However.. ROI is unlikely at the current btc price, so you'll have to hope for a rise in value.

117  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Black Arrow 28nm 100Ghash Bitcoin ASIC from $0.49/GH/s on: September 02, 2014, 04:40:03 PM
Unreal.  Not only will you never profit from an X-3, now it poses a potential fire hazard and health risk running it from home.

Speechless, at this level of incompetence.

Anything with electricity running through it is a potential fire hazard.. But ye, dont think we'll be seeing much profit on these units :/
118  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: September 02, 2014, 12:30:05 PM
Haven't you forgot something?

* Take picture and post it here.

Excuse me for intercepting. Here's a photo of some of our customers' machines. There's 48 kW running in that rack so far, and we only stopped filling it because we ran out of SP30s.

Yes, I know we need to clean up those cables. We're still changing the port connectivity around; we'll make it neat when we're done rearranging.

That cable mess really hurts my feelings Tongue

Awesome setup though. And insane density, props for that.
119  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Cheap HI-Power equipment on: September 02, 2014, 09:12:38 AM
If you wanna get in, go buy 2nd hand dragon units.. should be able to get a few units pretty cheap..

Or, go buy older gear and run it.. might be worth it if you really have free power. (everything will be a waste if btc prices doesnt rise though)
120  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmain Antminer L1 - Speculation... on: September 01, 2014, 09:56:14 AM
This is defiantly a scrypt miner with MHs on the list, My guess it will be 18.2MHs at around 0.92BTC at release, pulling 420W ATW.
This unit will be Ethernet stand alone same as the BTC units.

Please elaborate as to what this is based on... Im pretty sure its way off.
