Centralized exchanges continue to implode without warning.  UNO has been part of more failed exchanges than I care to remember.

I'm here to challenge you to say "No More!!"  No more Uno stolen from exchanges like Cryptsy. No more waiting for 100 or more blocks for coins to be deposited into wallets.  No more delayed withdrawals.  No more account 'lock outs'.  No more KYC.  No more begging and paying to be listed.  Fuck all that.



The past couple of months I've been experimenting with a true decentralized exchange, BlockDX.  A true Dex keeps you in control of your keys. It doesn't swap your valuable Unobtanium for some shit proxy coin. It doesn't allow an exit scam opportunity for the gateway exchanging the real Uno for fake Uno.

UNO has such an exchange available to it right now, and you can start trading on it today.  There are small buy/sell orders for UNO on BlockDX that will let you get started today.

I challenge you to make a small UNO trade on BlockDX today so you can experience for yourself what true trading freedom is.

What you will need:
 UNO qt wallet from https://Unobtanium.uno
BLOCK qt wallet (v 3.12.1) https://blocknet.co/block-dx/
BLOCK DX software (1.0.0)  https://blocknet.co/block-dx/

Sync your wallets first.  
Place a little Uno into your Uno wallet.
Put a little Block into your block wallet (if I know you, PM me your Block addy and I'll send you a little dust to get started).
Start BlockDX software and follow the prompts to add Block and Unobtanium as trading coins.

Your UNO and Block wallets will need to be unlocked to trade or place trades.
To unlock your UNO QT wallet you will need to go to the Console and type:    walletpassphrase  yourPassphrase  1000000
That will unlock your wallet for a million seconds so you don't have to think about it for awhile.

Place your first trade.  If you have any trouble, let me know.

I absolutely wish Bleutrade well. UNO has been on Bleutrade for 5 years.  However, I'm hearing from people with funds locked at Bleutrade who are very concerned and not getting replies. 


Bleutrade is a regulated exchange in Malta. The entire point of regulation is that you should be able to reach out to Malta authorities to share your concerns.





100%, I want Bleutrade to be safe and successful, but also to respond to concerned customers. Its our hope that UNO will be listed at Bleutrade for many more years to come.  I'm glad that Bleutrade has chosen to become a regulated exchange. Its our hope that  inquiries through the Maltese regulatory framework will not be necessary.

Cryptobridge looks good.  It's not a "true" Dex situation, tho.  Cryptobridge is built on Bitshares.  They are a gateway in/out of Bitshare.  So we would have bt.Uno which is paired 1:1 to Uno.  As the gateway, Cryptobridge would be responsible for securing and fulfilling bt.Uno<>Uno.

They charge 3 btc for a listing, and expect you to trade .25 BTC each day or they may de-list. 

I wouldn't say no to a listing on CryptoBridge, but I'm hoping the UNO community can do better.

BlockDX holds a lot of potential, as you can build different market pairs, and the coins stay in your control,  and no KYC.

I really like Bisq.network.  I wish we could get a core group on Bisq to trade UNO.  I try to keep a few orders there but trades are rare.  If more people got involved in Bisq, I know we could make a good market there.

BlockDX decentralized exchange now supports UNO!  Trade Unobtanium on BlockDX, and never put your rare UNO at risk of centralized exchange failure.


The first trades occurred this week in the UNO/DASH pair on BlockDX.



There is a bit of a learning curve, but you can do it.   At this time BlockDX has a requirement to sync the chain of the coins you want to trade. For example, to trade UNO/DASH,  I need a UNO client,  DASH client, BLOCK client (with a couple of block to cover fees), and the BlockDX software.  That's four pieces of software.  

In the near future, Block developers will overcome this inconvenience, but even so, it's manageable.  Kudos to the Blocknet team for their hard work and innovation.  

I'm glad that UNO is an early adopter of DEX exchanges like Blocknet.  UNO has dodged disaster several times (Cryptsy and Mintpal come to mind).  Even while today, nothing beats the convenience of an honest centralised crypto exchange, it's important to support UNO's viable decentralized options like Blocknet and Bisq.nework.

Bisq.network is a decentralized anonymous exchange where Unobtanium (UNO) and other cryptocurrencies may be traded. This article will show you how to install Bisq and trade UNO.


Why should the Unobtanium community care about supporting a Decentralized Exchange (DEX) like Bisq?  In it's 5 years of existence, UNO has experienced close calls with several big exchanges that have gone rogue and been hacked.  Cryptsy and Mintpal are two of the most notable, but not the entire list.   Centralized exchanges pose a particularly big risk to a low inflation, rare issue coin like UNO.  If we want the option to trade UNO in a decentralized way, then lets give BISQ a try.


Bisq works a little differently than centralized altcoin exchanges.   Instead of logging in through a website, doing kyc and trusting the exchange operator with your cryptocurrency,  you will access Bisq through a client app (Java) on your desktop computer.  The Bisq client connects to the distributed p2p network anonymously over TOR.


Depending on the trader at the other end and the luck of the Bitcoin blockchain,  your Bisq trades may take up to a maximum of 24 hours to complete, or they could complete within minutes.  Patience is a virtue on Bisq. Trades happen slower than on centralized exchanges because they occur on chain.

Lets get starting trading UNO on Bisq.network.


Step 1.  Download and install TOR browser bundle.  


Step 2. Download and install Bisq client.  Start Bisq installer and go through the setup process.


Step 2.5  Fund your Bisq account with Bitcoin.  Go to Funds > Receive Funds, and send Bitcoin to one of the addresses.


Step 3.  Add an Unobtanium address that you'll use to receive UNO that you purchase through Bisq.  To do this, click on   Account > Altcoin Accounts > Add New Account > Altcoin: Unobtanium


To trade Unobtanium/Bitcoin, go to Market > Offer Book > Currency: Unobtanium.  This is where you will see all Uno Buy & Sell orders.  You can accept a posted order, or post your own.


Remember that when trading UNO for BTC through Bisq, you guarantee the trade with a small Bitcoin deposit that is returned to you when the trade is successful. You fund your Bisq wallet with BTC, not UNO. Instead, you will send your UNO to the other trader's Unobtanium wallet.  


Check all of your posted offers by going to the Portfolio tab.


Should anything happen, such as the buyer fails to acknowledge that you sent them UNO, you can go to the Support tab to open a support ticket.   An arbitrator will examine the UNO blockchain, and if it's determined that you actually did send the UNO to the buyer's Unobtanium address, the arbitrator will release the funds to you from the multisig wallet.  


You can view the Bisq UNO markets through a web browser, although you can only trade through the Bisq client app.


With Bisq, you won't have to worry about the exchange going rogue and stealing your funds.  There is no KYC, and your anonymity is ensured through TOR. You have full control your private keys and can withdraw your Bitcoin from your Bisq wallet at any time, as long as they are not locked in a multisig wallet for the duration of a trade.

I encourage  Unobtanium users to give Bisq Network a try!  Post a few Unobtanium buy or sell orders!   Check out the current state of Bisq's UNO Market online.

We listed Unobtanium on FreiExchange. Its a good exchange, run by good people. Tho not much volume yet, it has good potential.  I also suggest opening a ticket at Freiexchange.com and asking for Unicoin.
