guys, i'm not feeling too great about this whole fake-volume-at-cryptopia thing. i can't surmise any legitimate reason for why this is happening and any funny business at an exchange really puts me on high alert.
I agree lol, I've been trying to come to a conclusion on what type of reason one would have for doing that and wasting so much money, lol. I've blocked that users api key (again) he was doing it to the UNO base markets a few weeks ago, was getting as high and 4000 UNO volume, LOL Said he was worried about UNO getting delisted for low volume, I already told him that cant happen, but he seems determined. Must say gonna miss the fees tho, LOL If you spot this again just throw me a PM and I can investigate faster  Haha, Thank you for that but you really did not have to we understand your exchange survives off fees still a generous thing to do, thanks! I still don't understand what his endgame was, LOL. I don't understand half of what these traders do, I miss when we were just Pools, way less politics back then I liked it. It made me happy. Aurumcoin (AU) need to be different than other altcoins
The idea I suggest is that each au unit will have a unit of pure gold backing it the crypto AU coin value is higher then this unit but the unit is minimum value of the coin and you can always trade it for this minimal unit in a dealer office for the fisical gold
This unit will be determined bye the community and the dealer s for example 1 kg the higher is better because the market value present the ecosystem value!
The profit to the investor is that he can transfer gold from state to state by using AU and without using the state.
This is simple old gold-backed money without using banks!
if coin accepted as 1kg of gold 1AU=45,000$ every one can use miliAU as a day to day currency with no need to tranfer it to other currencies just to fisical pure gold bars/coins by official dealers that take some fee for the gold and sell the AU via exchanges.
Other crypto currencies with 100,000 coins faild like lemurcoin so first with no gold backing AU is doomed.
Aurumcoin.com has a point in what they say, Bitcoin is rather speculation than currency I don't want to receive my salary in bitcoin but I do want to receive it in gold or more accurate: currency that is backed in gold (currecy with no inflatiom is much better than fiat money).
This is a unique distinction for AU then all altcoins, dont think on your coins as speculation but as units that present gold bars. Third parties can change it to fiat currencies same as bitcoin if you want fiat money (but you pay fee).
AU should present at least 1 kg of gold we need big market value dont need banks, nor states, nor fiat money!

Probably the best way forward is to start a new chain, sell the "gold tokens" and invest in a storage/redemption facility. In which case, you're an ETF anyway. Did you see the article today, 90% of Altcoins won't survive.Back in Nov. 2015, I suggested a plan for UNO. It went something like, "Don't Die." I can't say it was a great plan, but it was probably better than no plan. And so far it's worked. While a thousand other altcoins have died off, UNO is still here. An expert in this article suggests: "I don't think Bitcoin is going to die. Rather the better question is where does it stop?" Hoskinson queries. He articulates it will either become a universal payment system or simply a digital gold standard that stores value." Did he say that a legitimate use case would be if Bitcoin were, "Simply a Digital gold standard that stores value?" Yes he did. UNO is perfectly positioned for such a use case with its extremely low inflation emission, fair launch, fair distribution, and by complementing Bitcoin through merged mining. While I would love to see an even more compelling use case for Unobtanium, until one comes along we will continue building this solid blockchain piece by piece, adding value to it through longevity, and any other means possible. Better plans are welcome. I will gladly follow a better plan. For now, though: Step 1. Don't die. Step 2. Thrive Step 1 is well under way, and step 2 is in sight. |

You've probably read the same things I have. " We provide a target price of $3,678 for Bitcoin in case an ETF is approved in 2017 and a target price of $551 in case it is rejected this year." Its a big bet, but it could pay off. Eventually someone will come along with a blended asset ETF and stock it with ETH, DASH, LTC, DOGE, and other top 100 cryptos. UNO will be in the top 100 again by then. It could easily be there now. It would not take many btc to move the price there, since there is so little UNO on the market right now. That said, I think our problem here has been the 15 ton Cryptsy weight hanging over our heads, supported by a frayed piece of rope. The price of UNO was suppressed in 2014 for a long time after the Coinex theft. When that ended, we saw a nice rise. I hope we'll see that again after the Cryptsy matter is settled. We have to re-tell the UNO story. It's a good one. It's interesting. It's a success story. Anyone who is going to buy into a cryptocurrency ETF can learn a lot by studying UNO. UNO embodies the success of a tenacious community, the perils of thieves, the impact of pumpers and dumpers, the benefits of persistence, the effect of low inflation on price and mining, and much more. UNO has lived long enough to experience it all. It's not just a long, established, secure blockchain now in it's 4th year... its a historical record. |

3. If a new pool comes up, mine it. If the exchange comes back, use it.

Its fun to look back. 3 years ago today was the legendary UNO pump by Wolong. That one sent me on a nice holiday.
Look at the other coins in that list. 3 years later, UNO is way more valuable than Maxcoin; Astrocoin is dead; Bitgem is on life support and not expected to live; and for all its innovation and its ecosystem, Blakecoin is worth 1/10th of UNO.
It has NOT been easy to keep the UNO alive and generally healthy, now into it's 4th year.
Its been because of this community, who keep coming back.
I am still bullish on UNO. We need to re-tell the story of UNO. We've lived it, and being so close to it you forget just how unique UNO is to even be here, with a dev, traded on exchanges, with hundreds of terrabytes of mining hash.
I'll be honest... I've not been buying UNO, mostly because of the Cryptsy wallet. I really believe when that situation is settled, you won't be able to keep UNO down.
I would like to see UNO valued at about $5/un, that would give us a respectable marketcap in USD of about $1m.
I'm open to ideas and action for making UNO more valuable. What give you an incentive to start moving UNO up? What keeps you from buying more? What use cases can we combine with UNO's unique low inflation and rarity characteristics to make it more valuable?
