101  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Another Electrum newbie with easy question... on: April 14, 2024, 07:30:32 PM
My electrum History tab shows 1.286 mBtc. But when I choose 'Max; on the send tab, I only get .80379?

Just hit the "Preview" button. You will then see all the details of your future transaction, including all the inputs and outputs, which will help clarify things for you.  Also, make sure you are not using the "Coin Control" and "Freeze" functions in your Electrum wallet.
102  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Geopolitical Tension and its effects on Gambling on: April 14, 2024, 07:21:19 PM
Im skeptical too. Even in tumultuous times, folks will likely still blow their paychecks at the roulette wheel or slot machines chasing those feel-good brain chemicals.  Perhaps a war halfway around the world feels too abstract, too distant from the adrenaline rush of the casino.  So I would bet the gambling industry will continue humming along, though operators may need to work harder to distract anxious gamblers.

After all, people have short attention spans.  Flashing slots and free spins help punters forget their worries at least for a few hours.  And lets face it - for most, gambling is about escapism, not global awareness.   I just dont see war stopping people from chasing the next big win.
103  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Want to know deatail about paper wallet on: April 14, 2024, 07:09:59 PM
~

Charles-Tim explained, a paper wallet is basically your private key written on some physical medium, like paper or engraved on a metal plate. Nowadays, a similar method is often used, but not with private keys, but with backup seed phrases from which countless private keys and associated addresses can be derived.

However, a "paper wallet" is not a substitute for a hardware wallet, because a hardware wallet allows you easy access to your wallet and coins, so it is more convenient. A paper wallet (if created in a secure way) is good only for long-term hodl.

I appreciate any help.

You will not find any help here.  I see you have already posted in the Service Discussion board.  It is best you keep the discussion in that thread and not spread it to other topics that are not relevant.

You can also try asking in Freebitco.in main thread,  but keep in mind that their support staff has not been active on the forum for a while, so it is probably best to contact their support on the site. Hope this helps!
105  Economy / Gambling / Re: unlimitedmoneyglitch.com | Crypto Market and Casino All-In-One on: April 14, 2024, 06:32:16 PM
You need to fix your website, it doesn't look/work fine at all...

We apologize, this seems to be a glitch, please refresh and try again...

It matches your site name! LOL!

By the way, how did you come up with that domain name? While I cannot say for sure, I believe shorter names are generally better for business.  And personally, "unlimited money glitch" gives me some negative vibes.

Quote
And the way that you manage the provably fair it wrong because you are showing just a part of the code where it generates the rounds using a random function, but that could be easily rigged by the house side. So, better if you offer a secret seed before the next round that way users can verify each bet and be sure about the fairness of the game.
We understand, we plan to implement better methods to monitor the provably fair status. Although, please note, before any payouts are made we take a very small .01% fee, at which we have already made our money so we have no reason to rig the system. Users of UMG are playing against other players not the house.

Broken provably fair systems dont exactly inspire confidence.  You are basically saying "trust us, we pinky swear we will not cheat."  Users are playing each other, sure, but just saying "users play each other" is meaningless if the RNG that dictates outcomes can be tampered with on your end. Also,  there is no way to know if we are truly playing against other users or a rigged system disguised as other players.  Provably fair needs to be provably verifiable, not just a fancy term.
106  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is LTC dead? on: April 13, 2024, 08:25:22 PM
How do you define a dead coin?

While Litecoin is certainly not as popular or widely-discussed as it once was, I would not call it dead by any means.  True, it doesnt generate the same excitement or headlines as in its early days.  But, it remains one of the top 20 cryptocurrencies by Market Cap Ranking.  And compared to other altcoins its transaction volume is still quite significant.  There remains an active, devoted community supporting the coin, in addition to developers continuing work to enhance the underlying technology. So, no! Not dead.
107  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can Bitcoin reach 100k USD in 2024? on: April 13, 2024, 08:00:39 PM
Do you expect it is possible in 2024 for Bitcoin to reach 100k USD?

Have you at least bothered to browse the Bitcoin Speculation board?  There sure are a lot of folks making bold predictions about where things are headed.  But frankly most of it seems to be wishful thinking, hopium or personal bias based on what people want or hope will happen.  The reality is nobody really knows for sure and  bitcoin's always been volatile and could shoot up to crazy new highs or tumble way down just as easily.  Getting too caught up in the endless volatility predictions rarely does much good imho.

And in a few days Bitcoin will be halved.
~

What are you talking about? Bitcoin does not get "halved" like its some store sale. It goes through a halving event.  Big difference.
"A halving event refers to the programmed decrease in the block reward for miners."  Its a technical aspect, not a Black Friday discount.  Wink
108  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: ☢️ Any mining farms powered by nuclear microreactors? ☢️ on: April 13, 2024, 07:49:21 PM
Who knows, maybe some tech billionaire out there is really building  a hidden underground facility powered by nuclear microreactor for a massive cryptocurrency mining operation.  It sounds wild, but these days, nothing seems too far-fetched!

While using nuclear power for crypto mining raises some practical concerns around safety and cost-effectiveness I suppose if anyone had the means and motivation to try it, it would be an ultra-wealthy tech entrepreneur with more money than they know what to do with and  stranger things have happened in the world of crypto currencies and their enthusiasts, thats for sure.

Hey, if Batman can build the Batcave under Wayne Manor then I wouldnt completely rule out the possibility of someone attempting a real-life supervillain lair to house their epic mining rig.  A nuclear reactor would certainly supply ample electricity! Whether or not it's sustainable or sensible is another question...
109  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [GUIDE] Best Crypto Investment Opportunities for Passive Income -2024 on: April 12, 2024, 09:44:49 PM
Currently, I also have an investment in blackjack.fun, it is very simple, even reinvesting the profit.
The good thing, although it is unclear to me, is that the invested funds are not at risk, because they are not active in the casino pool.

You forgot to mention, "at least thats what they claim".  Wink
All investments typically come with some level of risk.  If something sounds too good to be true, it probably is.  I am not saying this is the case with blackjack.fun investments, but we can never be sure.

By the way, good topic @mindrust!
110  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would a gamblers statistics in graph and chart form, be of any help? on: April 12, 2024, 09:21:15 PM
Would a data showing the users statistics in graph and chart form, comparing ones gambling habit over a duration, help to curb gambling addiction or enforce strict control?

No, I dont think so. Addiction is a psychological - the numbers dont lie, but they dont get to the heart of things either.  Sure, charts might show what someones blowing at the tables or slot machines.  But that cash spent doesnt scratch the itch for more. and  people with gambling problem justify anything when they are riding high or trying to catch the next wave.  Datas just data - it doesnt speak to the soul.  For that, you need understanding compassion.
111  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are the good days for meme coins gone forever ? on: April 12, 2024, 08:08:27 PM
Are the good days for meme coins gone forever ?

I hope so. It is not that I dont enjoy some meme crypto projects, but lately the meme coin scene has felt more akin to gambling than actual investing.  Personally, I far prefer coins and tokens that offer true utility and lasting potential over ones centered around silly animal mascots or internet jokes.  My hope is that, going forward at least some of the money that flooded into those meme coins flows back into projects building real technology and infrastructure that could benefit people.  If it gets more investors looking at the value behind a token, rather than just chasing pumps, that would be a positive in my view.
112  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports winnings taxes on: April 11, 2024, 09:04:43 PM
Any government has never collected any taxes to the user through crypto casinos and I dont think its possible either because online casino customers come from all over the world.
Yes, it is not possible. Taxes can only be collected via KYC required centralized exchanges like Coinbase.

No. The tax man dos not take a cut from crypto casinos or centralized exchanges.  Thats on you, bud and  gotta report those sweet gains you scored at the sports betting just like it was poker winnings.  IRS is wising up to this crypto stuff, so dont think you can pull a fast one.  Theyll catch up eventually.  Better to play it safe and pay Uncle Sam his fair share, even if it dos not seem fair to us.  Who wants an audit anyhow? Do it clean file those forms, sleep easy.
113  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Collaboration on project on: April 11, 2024, 08:01:30 PM
I understand what you are saying is right, the token needs to have some monetary value that adds up to its purpose, but let's say I want to create only 36 million tokens and make the ICO value at 0.1$ wouldn't it yield a better result? I understand that this isn't a stable project, but initially, it may attract a few investors. but what about creating a very new consensus mechanism that will add value to the protocol?

First of all, Im not too into meme coins or anything - dont know much about how they work or get hyped up and all that.  Youll have to dig into that yourself if you wanna learn more and,  as for your project, seems like you need more than just some snazzy new consensus protocol to really grab people's attention these days.  It doesnt matter how slick your tech is if theres no a solid plan for putting it to use solving real problems.

Investors are looking for solutions, not just shiny new algorithms.  Makes sense too - all those mathematical breakthroughs in the world dont mean squat if you cant apply them in a way that provides actual utility-like.  So do your thing on the algorithm front for sure just dont forget about fleshing out some concrete use cases and applications too.

Give people a reason to get excited beyond the technical bells and whistles!  Cheesy

I just wonder what kind of a consensus mechanism would yield a better outcome and gain traction with the investors. I just want a simple spark that will work.

Well, thats the million dollar question! Literally. If I knew that, I would probably be a millionaire by now.
114  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Collaboration on project on: April 10, 2024, 07:41:38 PM
Ok let me be brief. So I just need your advice that’s it.

What I was thinking is to make a token that works on the bitcoins live price, like betting on the price of bitcoin going up until a specific time that we will intend on, and make this token with a limited supply and market it like the successful meme coins. And also offering people who market the coin to its greater extent. So is this project viable to market or will this be a failure? I don’t know I just want someone to collaborate on this, that’s it. All advices welcomed  Cheesy

What exactly do you mean by "a token that works on the bitcoins live price"? Im wondering if you have in mind some kind of token whose value moves in lockstep with Bitcoin's price, like a stablecoin pegged to BTC.  If so, there are already products out there kind of doing that.

Or maybe you are considering a token functioning more as a wager on where Bitcoin's price heads in the future, like a derivative contract of sorts.  But the big question and I think the most critical thing here, boils down to why would people prefer holding your token instead of just owning the actual Bitcoins themselves?  What underlying utility or value-add will your token provide that gives it an edge and makes it enticing? Thats the puzzle you really need to solve if you want your tokenized product to gain any traction.
115  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Double your money and quite on: April 10, 2024, 07:30:43 PM
Trying to double your money quickly at a casino sounds fantastic in theory.  The games are literally designed to take our money over time.  As hard as it is, quitting while you are ahead is usually the smartest move.  My method?  Go in with reasonable expectations for fun and entertainment, not making money and  set a budget you are okay losing.  Any winnings are just gravy.
116  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is This How I Lost All Of My Money From Atomic Wallet? on: April 10, 2024, 03:29:15 PM
I'm just confused as to why Atomic Wallet had me insert my 12-word phrase into the links they provided.
Atomic Wallet claims it was a safe and secure procedure.

Once the ATOMs were unbounded and I was done staking, I only needed a wallet address to transfer the funds.

When I asked Atomic Wallet this, they wrote back,
"In the case of Cosmostation, this wallet is safe, as well as the import procedure provided by Grace. Decentralized wallets play an intermediary role between you and the blockchain. With your backup seed on hand, you'll be able to access your account via any app of your liking that supports the assets you're holding."

Atomic Wallet apparently had some security problems last year.  I would not use such a closed source wallet ever.

So when they asked you to enter your seed phrase through a link, that should've raised red flags.  Serious companies don't operate that way.  Seed phrases open the door to everything youve got in crypto and scammers can be incredibly tricky these days.  Typing them into random sites or apps is crazy risky.

Unfortunately, if your funds were stolen recovery options are limited.  Cryptocurrency transactions are designed to be irreversible.  I would suggest you to contact Atomic Wallet support right away to discuss potential solutions.  They might have ideas.
117  Economy / Lending / Re: Loan Request on: April 07, 2024, 09:06:00 PM
Has anyone looked at the history of his Bitcoin address on the forum? This is a scammer who doesn’t have the intelligence to change the wallet address and regularly makes requests for help or a loan.
It's spring, and it's time for schizophrenics to get worse.

Yeah, definitely a good catch on the address! Looks like this dude is playing the pity party scam for a while.  He even started using a female name, probably thinking that we would be more sympathetic that way.  Cheesy

119  Other / Meta / Re: Can a lost account be recover? on: April 07, 2024, 08:21:15 PM
If it is your personal wallet then you can recover it if you had created a backup of your wallet. If it is an exchange wallet then you can get access only through contacting the exchange. If non of those are your issue then plase explain the reason for creating this topic.

I'm also not sure what he is asking whether its a wallet that he is asking. Which normally a newbie will be asking for as well.

But if he means forum account then yes as long as he can still login to his email he can recover. But most newbies that come here asking for password actually meant his wallet password.

Why would he ask about forum account as he is stil able to login with this ID.

I believe this is a question for future reference, not related to the current wallet issue. The OP is probably asking in case hi forgets his forum password in the future, not because he has forgotten it right now. If you check his other posts, youll notice he refer to this forum as "the system" as well.

I doubt anyone would ask such a question on this board, my understanding is that such questions should be on the Meta board.

He is a newbie. He might not be familiar with all the ins and outs of the forum yet.

anyone? the site live.

Sorry to say, but your incentive is simply too small for anyone to be interested in testing your game and writing a review. You need to understand the value of other people's time, just as you value your own.
