1021  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What font is the B in the Bitcoin symbol? Not the lines just the B. on: April 15, 2023, 09:22:57 PM
But now I'm wondering if there's any verification that Phil Wilson was actually involved in the creation of the Bitcoin B logo. He also claims to be Satoshi or more specifically part of a group that he says is called Satoshi so that may put his claim of being involved in the creation of the logo in some doubt.
He claims to be the one who instructed bitboy for the logo layout and more, yet bitboy doesn't mentioned him or someone helping him on the thread he made for at least like a contribution to his work. Although what he mentioned in medium are all well-detailed but still i doubt until he shows proof of their conversation.

Yes the whole thing seems kind of odd, I reached out to him on reddit so I'll see what he says.

If he claims to be Satoshi, I think we can safely assume he is lying about other things as well.  Cheesy

I was previously unaware of another significant detail regarding the widely-used and well-known logo associated with Bitcoin (it is worth noting that there is no official Bitcoin logo). The BTC symbol in the orange circle commonly used today was proposed by bitboy. However, it was originally introduced by Satoshi in a thread discussing new icon/logo for Bitcoin wallet. bitboy's version of the logo come eight months later.

Unfortunately, the original images are no longer available on the forum, but we can view the thread archive here: http://web.archive.org/web/20130524055823/https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=64.0

It is the same icon/logo that is shown on wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bitcoin#/media/File:Bitcoin.png

1022  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why we want inflation for good value on BTC? on: April 14, 2023, 11:06:14 PM
Does this make sense?

That argument does not hold water. Inflation caused by excessive money printing diminishes the value of earned income, resulting in a reduction of purchasing power. As the prices of goods and services increase, people are forced to spend more of their income on basic necessities, leaving them with less disposable income to invest. In this context, advocating for the printing of money to benefit Bitcoin fails to account for the negative effects of inflation on people's lives and investments.
1023  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What font is the B in the Bitcoin symbol? Not the lines just the B. on: April 14, 2023, 10:24:10 PM
I know that no regular font has a B with double vertical strikes, that's why in my OP I said "I'm not talking about the lines in the symbol just the B itself.

The "B" in the Bitcoin symbol is not a standard font (regardless of the vertical lines), as the symbol was designed specifically for the Bitcoin currency.

I agree a basic font was probably used and then the letter was edited and had the lines added to it. That's why I'm asking what specific font was used if anyone knows. My goal is to figure out what specific font they started with to type the B as the basis for the symbol/logo.

My best guess is that the designer used HelveticaNeue Bold as a starting point and then modified the symbol using a vector program, such as Adobe Illustrator, to achieve the final design we recognize today.
1024  Economy / Reputation / Re: Jr BM asking for 300 positive comment in his service thread via bounty campaign. on: April 14, 2023, 09:48:23 PM
I also checked this after bounty launch. Review is not bad but he made a mistake that Jr BM make it mandatory task for positive review. may i ask is someone Jr BM about this that its against the rule of this forum. I think he is not aware of it.

Well, it seems that the reality has hit him like a ton of bricks. The moderators have already removed his thread and slapped him with a 30-day ban, as reported by sujonali1819.

some signature bounty also has this task but you they make it optional which is not bad.  Everyone is free to give review and can be negative also.

Yes, everyone is free to leave their reviews, but paying for reviews or offering other incentives to members is prohibited.
1025  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: cashout money on: April 13, 2023, 11:32:55 PM
i did give them my documents but they saw  a mismatch in the name of the owner and me

so that didn't work Sad   i'm not the owner of this account

Unfortunately, it is unlikely that you will be able to withdraw funds without being able to prove that you are the account owner. In most cases, casino sites have strict policies in place to prevent fraudulent activity, and they require proper identification documents to verify your identity.

I know this will be of little help to you right now, but you should have known better than to deposit your funds into someone else's casino account. This is probably also against the terms of use of the platform.

What should I do?

I think you should take a moment to reflect before you hit that post button.

I have noticed that you are posting a lot of new threads in a last few days. Are you just after merits and views or something? I mean, have you thought about whether your contribution is really worth sharing on the forum? How do you even come up with all these ideas? It doesn't seem very natural to me.
1027  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is your take on the pump coming? on: April 13, 2023, 11:02:38 PM
I am a bit more cautious about the whole situation. While I do believe that Bitcoin has the potential to do very well, I think that we should be careful not to get too carried away with our expectations. The market is always unpredictable, and there are no guarantees when it comes to investments. Do not get me wrong, I think that Bitcoin is a solid investment, and I am excited to see where it goes in the future. However, I also think that we should be mindful of the risks involved and not put all of our eggs in just one basket. As for me, I am more focused on long-term investments and building a solid portfolio.

Can anyone verify if this email address is legitimate.

Honestly, @OP, it is really frustrating to see you continuing to post about this supposed opportunity, even though multiple members have already told you that it is a scam. What are you hoping to achieve by spamming the forum with this same message over and over again?

Ignoring the advice and warnings of other members in the community and continuing to push the same message just makes you look foolish and, frankly, a little desperate. Why are you still persisting with this foolishness?

@All, I suggest you check his post history before engaging in a discussion with this member.
1029  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why did people under rate other people just because they have make it in life on: April 11, 2023, 07:46:02 PM
Well, you know what they say - money can't buy you class. And it certainly can't buy you manners or a sense of decency. Some people just do not know how to act right, no matter how much money they have.

Personally, I think it is important to treat everyone with respect, regardless of their wealth or status. After all, you never know what someone's been through or what they are going through right now. A little empathy and understanding can go a long way. But, if you are going to be a scumbag, I have no problem with calling you out on it. I know that there are people who will disagree with me, and I respect that. Everyone has the right to their own opinion. But, when it comes down to it, being a decent human being is not really all that hard.

~ I request for one more chance."

Dude, I don't know what to tell you. It is pretty clear from the evidence that your account is linked to a whole bunch of other accounts, and you have been involved in some pretty sketchy stuff. I mean, using multiple alt accounts to cheat in a bounty campaign? Not cool, man.

But hey, I guess everyone deserves a second chance, right? Especially if they have already been booted from the forum multiple times for their sketchy behavior. I am sure this time will be different, and you will totally turn over a new leaf and play by the rules.

Just kidding. Please don't cheat in bounty campaigns or break the rules of the forum. It is not cool and it hurts all honest participants and the integrity of the entire community. Let us all strive to be better than that.

1033  Other / Meta / Re: AI-generated post discussion thread: how to identify & report on: April 09, 2023, 10:03:15 AM
For me, the best indicator if a post is AI-generated is if it is written in flawless English. Even the best posters who are native English speakers don't necessarily write every post using the precision in punctuation, spelling & grammar executed by ChatGPT. If a user's native language isn't English (as can be evidenced by their posting history), and they suddenly start posting in flawless English, it means one of two things:

1. The text is plagiarized, or
2. The text is AI-generated.

It is not fair to assume that someone who writes in flawless English is necessarily plagiarizing or using AI-generated text, and I disagree with this assumption because I believe there could be a third possibility.

In my opinion, @joker_josue makes a valid point. It is difficult to differentiate between content generated by ChatGPT and text that has been translated from a non-English native language to English or edited using ChatGPT and similar tools. I do not think there is a clear way to distinguish between the two, and I suspect that most AI Content Detectors would classify the text as AI-generated, even if it is not the case.
1034  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what is your opinion on shikoku inu? on: April 09, 2023, 09:16:08 AM
Does anyone know the token, it looks promising

What makes it so promising? I did some research on it, and it seems like Shikoku Inu is just another shitcoin, like thousands of others, with no real purpose or utility. It appears to be just a copycat of other popular tokens with no unique features or technology that sets it apart from the rest. In my opinion, investing in such a token would be a risky move with low chances of any significant returns.
1035  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if Bitcoin was founded in the olden days!! on: April 09, 2023, 09:10:44 AM
I am not sure if it is even wise to engage in discussions about topics that seem nonsensical.

To begin with, Bitcoin's existence in the past would have been impossible due to the lack of essential technologies such as the internet and computers. Without these technologies, the digital world that Bitcoin thrives in would not have existed. Secondly, the financial and economic systems of the past, which relied on physical commodities like gold and silver for currency, were vastly different from the digital world of Bitcoin.
1036  Other / Meta / Re: Ninjastic.space - BitcoinTalk Post/Address archive + API on: April 09, 2023, 07:43:31 AM
This would be useful, in case the person is creating a post in another area of the forum and wants to fetch several quotes from other posts, without having to open the pages of these posts to generate the quote.

Yes, that would be useful, but it should be noted that this is an archive and not a live version of the forum. Topics may be moved, and posts may be deleted, so there is no way for ninjastic.space to determine whether a generated quote will be valid or not. They can very easily lead to dead links, so it is better to create quotes the old-fashioned way.
1037  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Block Transaction Count on: April 08, 2023, 11:04:20 PM
Is there a site which can get me organized transactions count for bitcoin blocks?

The mempool.space website offers a range of information about individual Bitcoin blocks, including their block height, the pool they belong to, their size, as well as the total number of transactions  included in each block.

https://mempool.space/blocks

Another popular site for tracking Bitcoin transactions is blockchair.com. This site provides detailed information about Bitcoin blocks, including the total number of transactions and the total value of transactions included in each block. Blockchair.com also provides tools for filtering and sorting Bitcoin transactions based on a variety of criteria, making it easy to find the information you need.

1039  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Martingale strategy in casinos on: April 08, 2023, 08:50:49 PM
Well, Martingale may work in the short term, but in the long run, the house always wins. It's a bit like trying to outrun a cheetah in flip flops - you may get a few steps ahead, but eventually, you'll be caught. So, my advice would be to enjoy the thrill of the game, but don't count on any betting strategy to make you rich.
1040  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Cloudbet stealing my funds on: April 08, 2023, 08:39:03 PM
Funds are not lost cloudbet admitted its in there end
Moving from this point things should be easy to refund as its not sent to unknown person or unknown wallet its there own wallet

There seems to be a lot of assumptions in your statement. How can you know that everything is as easy and straightforward as you believe it to be? What if Cloudbet uses a multisig wallet setup for their wallet? What if they employ a third-party payment provider? You cannot jump to conclusions without knowing all the facts.

This is why am upset if funds on your end why taking 3 weeks + and not refunding my money or credit it to platform this is what am argueeing about here

I understand that you are upset and frustrated about the situation, but you also need to acknowledge that it was your mistake that led you to this point. While it is easy to place blame on Cloudbet or other external factors, you need to recognize your own role in this. Calling Cloudbet scammers at this point will not solve anything, and can actually make things worse. You should approach this situation with a level-headed and objective mindset, and work with them to find a solution.
