101  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [∞ YH] solo.ckpool.org 2% fee solo mining 260 blocks solved! on: January 01, 2022, 08:54:54 AM
@merdock69
You can't meaningfully mine btc with a pc.....
Not even in solo, your chances are way too small.
Read this info: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2415854.0

Ummmm.. I have no idea what is your point in all this
103  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin Mining on: December 31, 2021, 08:09:32 PM
Read this as starters: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2415854.0

Bitcoin mining is nowadays done with ASIC miners only.
And you can't turn profit by mining any coin with phone... it's a stupid idea. Sorry.

Stop using crap pools!
105  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: S19 Hashboard 2 and 3 not working on: December 30, 2021, 09:47:40 PM
Mine in a proper good pool, that's the lesson here
106  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: My S9K stopped working after I cleaned them... on: December 30, 2021, 08:37:58 PM
You have made some major fuckup while cleaning them.
I hope you only used IPA and compressed air?

Using things like water, soap water or vacuum cleaner will guarantee a bad result
107  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Looking for antminer S2 for collection. on: December 29, 2021, 08:37:41 PM
I searched through second hand market at this Dutch site to see if good deals for newer miners would be there, and I noticed there is one Antminer S2 in Amsterdam: https://www.marktplaats.nl/v/computers-en-software/overige-computers-en-software/m1788127159-bitmain-antminer-s2
108  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon 841 hashboards problem. on: December 28, 2021, 10:14:50 PM
I don't know, I never studied and bought tools for board-level repairs.

Maybe ask companies like Canaan or Zeusbtc about board-level repairs?
109  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon 841 hashboards problem. on: December 28, 2021, 09:34:15 PM
Now that I read all through again, it may be that the hash boards are all toasted
110  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon 841 hashboards problem. on: December 28, 2021, 08:18:14 PM
Maybe the MM board is broken? Can you try with a surely working MM board?

How does the pmu voltage measurement values look like in the cgminer api log?

Can you post the log here? (please insert it inside code tags, it's the #-button in the message panel.)
111  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Help with Antminer S9J Fans issue after replacing 2 new fans on: December 28, 2021, 02:20:57 PM
@yamezbond

https://www.digikey.com/en/products/detail/molex/0026604040/197447
I believe it's this one from Molex.
You can check the measurements on datasheet to be sure

edit: whoops, now I'm reading forum with my desktop pc and saw that I linked a wrong kind of connector.

Please see BitMaxz's message below for correct information
112  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Bitfury b8 overclock to 68 tera hash on: December 26, 2021, 08:47:23 PM
That miner is quite rare. You might find more Bitfury B8 experts at Russian speaking forums (eg. Bits.media).
Please share if you find something there. Smiley
113  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: ⚒ [12.25]ASIC--A large number of miners sell on: December 25, 2021, 09:26:29 AM
You should not trust this guy so easily because of this: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5376959.msg58721906#msg58721906

(The link seems nowadays dead, so that thread's already deleted).
He has just copied product list from MinerExpert thread and has pasted it in his numerous scam attempt threads.

SCAM ALERT - Buyers beware!
114  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Has anyone here built custom ICs to mine Bitcoin? on: December 25, 2021, 09:19:08 AM
You need few million bucks for competetive asic development. It is no more an easy task for small operators like it was in the early days (Avalon1, Antminer S1......).

Builders sidehack (Gekkoscience) and jstefanop (Futurebit) have been using Bitmain and Bitfury asic chips for their btc miners.

116  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Why use a PPS pool when there are large PPLNS pools? on: December 23, 2021, 11:46:20 PM
For clarity, I don't want to take sides here and I don't care about merits in use such as this.

I just really hate, also in arguments related to my daily job, when people go personal with the arguing. Things too often go off rails to emotional level.
117  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Bitfury b8 with Huawie power supply hash boards not hashing on: December 23, 2021, 11:40:33 PM
@zoghotaa
Does the B8 miner have a total number of two PSUs?

After I looked at your logs, it seems to me that there is an error with the PSU in the first slot (slot 0).
It looks like the miner is unable to communicate with the PSU. And also it most likely does not give any DC voltage output. This could be verified with a multimeter.

Do you have a new PSU you could try?
I think it has to be the exact same type as the old one.

edit:
Based on all the info I've got,
this is the power supply model used in the B8 miner:
Eltek Flatpack2 48V/3000W HE
https://www.eltek.com/us/products/flatpack2-483000-he/
I know now how to operate a Huawei psu in b8
login with putty and write the command echo -n ' -no_psu '> panel/home/data/conf/- no_psu
now b8 hashing

That's great! I gave some merit.

Can you also share the exact details about the Huawei power supply model you are using?
It would be big help for other B8 users in the future.
https://www.beyondlogic.org/review-huawei-r4850g2-power-supply-53-5vdc-3kw/
or any psu 53v
Thanks! So one alternative power supply model for Bitfury B8 miner is Huawei R4850G2 power supply.

I saved the datasheet here for long time archiving:
https://mega.nz/file/E9lAkBoY#8qYt1nsjHtJ3ajAXMzkkfmUtiWPYkm0W1fy9fqMqO8w

Using this psu model requires the small mod which zoghotaa described earlier.

@seabass1217

No.
You need a APW9 power supply.

Kano you don't have to go personal, be the bigger person...

Merry xmas everyone and please set the pool arguments aside for a while, and enjoy your time with family etc.
