921  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: AvalonMiner 921 released - 20 TH/s @ 1800W on: October 14, 2018, 07:53:24 PM
Sounds truly like a nice idea, I agree that there is also the tribute side in the name.
922  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: AvalonMiner 921 released - 20 TH/s @ 1800W on: October 14, 2018, 06:52:15 PM
Cool,
but I would be very careful with that model name with the US customers. If you know what I mean.

Can't post pics, I am still a noob member. But can mail them.

Have you ever heard about image hosting websites, like Imgur or Tinypic?   Wink

You should be able to post them as url links at least.

Have you tried different firmware versions?
928  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Troubleshooting and repair guide for AvalonMiner models 721, 741, 761, 821 & 841 on: October 13, 2018, 11:55:46 AM
I had a mistake in the bitcointalk forum version of this guide.

The mistake was in the Table 1. AvalonMiner LED colors.

There was an image of PMU LED colors table, which is obviously a wrong image.

I have put the right image in place now.

It took me too long to notice the error, sorry.  Embarrassed

The .pdf document version has been ok the whole time.

BTW. Steven has posted a neat promotional video for the AvalonMiner 851 at the Canaan.io website.
The video also mentions the easy DIY repairs, which this guide supports.  Smiley

932  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Current List of Competitive Hardware - October 2018 on: October 11, 2018, 11:26:58 PM
Their previous gen. miner is called Bitfury B8.

There is an old product page here: https://bitfury.com/hardware/server

Specs https://www.asicminervalue.com/miners/bitfury/b8

It uses this 16nm chip https://bitfury.com/content/downloads/16-nm-asic-datasheet-2018-04-002.pdf

The BlockBox AC actually consists of 176 pieces of these Bitfury B8 miners. https://bitfury.com/content/downloads/blockboxac-brochure-2018-04-002-layouts.compressed.pdf
933  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Current List of Competitive Hardware - October 2018 on: October 11, 2018, 10:49:40 PM
I thought that by 'competitive' you mean the current gen. / top efficiency hardware?
934  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitfury Tardis (SHA256) 80 TH/s 6300w on: October 11, 2018, 10:47:30 PM
Yeah that math does not make any sense..
935  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitfury Tardis (SHA256) 80 TH/s 6300w on: October 11, 2018, 09:06:58 PM
All they are doing is downclocking the boards and adding more. Any of those versions should be able to run at the best power efficiency at the expense of some hash rate.

Yep, I agree they do different frequency and voltage settings with those models.
936  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Current List of Competitive Hardware - October 2018 on: October 11, 2018, 08:34:56 PM
Yep, Bitfury is legit for sure.

I think their most power efficient version of the new Tardis miner could make sense for big scale miners.

937  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitfury Tardis (SHA256) 80 TH/s 6300w on: October 11, 2018, 08:24:32 PM
I think it should make sense for them to only offer the most power efficient version.
938  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Quiet Miners as heaters? on: October 11, 2018, 07:35:46 PM
found this tweet from canaan! (its also a official twitter acc btw)

Wow, nice!

This would be great news for home miners, especially those who can use the heat for warming up the house.  Smiley
939  Economy / Computer hardware / [sold!] Innosilicon A5 with power supply unit. on: October 10, 2018, 11:38:12 PM
EDIT2: This is now sold to username shy_viper.

EDIT: Reserved to a possible buyer.

Hi guys,

I'm selling one Innosilicon A5 DashMaster with 1000 Watt Enermax atx psu.

Product page at Innosilicon.com website: http://www.innosilicon.com/html/a5-miner/index.html

This miner is able to mine coins based on the X11 algorithm (like Dash, for example).

It is running great, no issues.

I have installed two Enermax D.F. Storm fans, which are far more quiet than the original Delta fans.

Original Delta fans are also included and it is easy to install them back if wanted.

I'm asking for 500 EUR incl. shipping.

I'm located in Finland (EU area).

Please send me a personal message, if you are interested in this.
Smiley
