Hey Matti,
You don't want to sell them separated right?

I would prefer selling these together,
but I am listening to other offers too.

Laptop (PoW) mining? Nope. Nope.

Hi guys, please notice that the Hotmine miner has now been sold separately.

I have updated the opening post.
986  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: (Review/Guide) Antminer S9 13.5 Th/s, 1320 W Bitcoin (SHA-256) ASIC miner on: September 24, 2018, 03:28:59 PM
Just to correct one thing: It has different fans front and back. I have no idea WHAT the difference is, but the front fan is NIDEC UltraFlo W12E12BS11B5-57 and the back one is NIDEC UltraFlo W12E12BS11B5-07. Both are rated 1.65 Amps and I see no visible difference between them. But if they took the effort to install two different fans in each unit (which means more complicated logistics), I'm sure they have a good reason for it. I can't find specs for the fans anywhere. If anyone has any info (or even a theory) about the reason for the different fans, I'm curious.

I just know that my newer S9s that came with these fans run as much as 20 (!!!) degrees C cooler than the old ones I have with the Delta fans.

My old ones with the Delta fans seem to max out at 4800RPM, I have seen the Nidec fans go up to 6000. I wonder if this is only the fans themselves, or maybe the new firmware is more aggressive in keeping the miner cool?

A good point,
thanks for sharing.

hi
roughly how much one could earn from mining SIA using A3 in a month? thanks

This is much related to the current situation in the coin's network.

Yeah, I find it really really suspicious if the miner only communicates with their own server. They can basically do what ever they want with the miners.

What are your thoughts on the asic miner co boards Matti?

As close as I could look at them,
the design looks good to me.

As you mentioned in the video,
I guess no burnt parts were found in the faulty miner?
No bad capacitors?
etc.

I posted this already in the video comments,
but here we go:

"Hey Vosk, great video once again! But you have one thing wrong in the video. You CAN order less than fourty AvalonMiners, in fact only one if you want to. But they deal these small orders via their official partner network. https://canaan.io/official-distributors/ See Blokforge and Cryptouniverse for example. Best regards, Matti "

How much for just the Hotminer?

PM sent. Smiley

994  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: My review of Avalon 841 . on: September 23, 2018, 05:50:37 PM
hi,

What is best efficiency/hash setting for the 841?
Thought it was a bit better as the bitmain..

Try to set the voltage offset to -1 or -2. See my review/guide for details. The link is in my signature space.

It's manufactured by MicroBT a.k.a. Bitwei.    www.microbt.com

Pangolin is a distributor.
They seem to have december batch for sale https://pangolinminer.com/product/whatsminer-dcr-with-psu-shipout-on-dec-5/

but I agree it's a long time before december hits
997  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmain launches the new AntMiner DR3 (Decred) on: September 23, 2018, 12:00:37 PM
That power efficiency is so so bad, if you compare it to the WhatsMiner D1 44Th/s.

This antminer takes about three times the power per hash.

I was able to get in touch with bw support . They send me the latest firmware update they have , so now bwminer is at version 2.8 and cgminer is 2.9.1 .

Now my rejection rate is Between .30% and 1 , huge improvement from 6 to 8% . Hash rate seem to vary between 520  and 570 , rately goes down below 500 like it used to.

They sent me a way to do it with windows using winscp ... took me 60 sec to get it done ..

Cool.
Can you post it here?

Anyone know what fab Canaan uses for their 7nm chips? I wonder if it's a bad 7nm process that's preventing them from gaining higher efficiency/hashrate.

Canaan uses TSMC.
