I looked at the white paper and the content is full of rubbish.

@op  Your argument was a funny one.

Since when has person's age automatically been equivalent with wisdom?

Am I suppose to be quiet because I'm younger than you?  Cheesy

@Valnurat
@minefarmbuy
Bitshopper.de in Germany has done reselling for Gekkoscience hardware for a quite long time.

Don't be stupid.

Do not use Air Conditioning in your mining farm.

Good ventilation, good airflow, those are the key things to remember.

From pool Admin:

to me

There was a mixup with the domain registrar. I've sorted it and it should be up and running again as of about 6 hours ago. Sorry for that. The pool is not going to be shut down, I'm keeping it going.

Yep,
the mmpool.org domain is now working ok again.
669  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: The convector-miner. Make btc while heating apartment. on: April 02, 2019, 10:10:39 AM
Ok,
So did I understand it correctly?

With 0.05 cent electricity price,
if household heating benefit is not taken into account,
it will take roughly 1800 days to make even,
if the numbers stay the same and if the miner retail price is 1.8k USD.
670  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Help with Avalon & Cgminer status report on: April 01, 2019, 03:10:11 PM
Yes it is, by looking at the Cgminer API log.

Please see more information here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3224256.0

EDIT:
PassThePopcorn gave an answer which is more specific to your question.

@Artemis3

Thanks. Yep, I made a close comparison like that to correct my brain fart. Cheesy

674  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Rumor that Bitmain is going belly up! can't pay its chip builder! on: March 31, 2019, 06:42:33 PM
Anyone else think that Jihan is possibly friedcat?  Or that bitfountain and Bitmain are related?

I don't think that Jihan is friedcat.

Friedcat had the ASICMiner project.
Eg. ASICMiner Cube https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=352658

The Antminer S1 and ASICMiner Cube were competing in the market about at the same time era (winter 2013).
675  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain introduces the Antminer S17 Pro, Antminer S17, and the Antminer T17 on: March 31, 2019, 06:20:39 PM
So once all the March coupons expire tonight, then there will be miners again for sale on Bitmain's site, is that the deal?  Everything but the DR5 is sold out still, only hours until all those coupons expire.

Most likely, yeah.

Those coupon notification e-mails are really pissing me off.

I say Fuck their coupon policy.
676  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: mmpool.org - 1.5% fee DGM/PPS - tx fees/vardiff/merge mine/tor on: March 31, 2019, 05:48:58 PM
The pool server may also be reachable my replacing the 'mmpool.org'
with the ip address I gave.

But with the long absence of the pool operator,
it is kind of risky continuing here in long run.
677  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: mmpool.org - 1.5% fee DGM/PPS - tx fees/vardiff/merge mine/tor on: March 31, 2019, 05:38:32 PM
Phil! And other fellows mining here.

I found old DNS lookup records for the mmpool.org.

I used this website as a tool https://securitytrails.com/list/ip/52.26.81.121

The mmpool website is still here: 52.26.81.121

It is showing 29 Th/s hash rate at the moment.
678  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: mmpool.org - 1.5% fee DGM/PPS - tx fees/vardiff/merge mine/tor on: March 31, 2019, 05:30:30 PM
I am still mining but I am having difficulty getting to the Website.

if you shut miner off it will not turn back on and mine.

That's most likely because there is no more an active re-directing for your network connection to the mining pool ip address.
The DNS server does this. If you input a 'name address' it will output a 'numeric address'.
Eg. mmpool.org --> 123.123.123.123 (just a theoretic example)

But if he is able to maintain his connection,
that may mean that the pool server is still up and running.
679  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: mmpool.org - 1.5% fee DGM/PPS - tx fees/vardiff/merge mine/tor on: March 31, 2019, 05:25:25 PM
What a bad way of closing a mining pool, without any pre warning.

He (mmpool) has been active here last in July 2018.

https://pangolinminer.com/product/whatsminer-m10s-with-psu/
I just looked at this M10S product page,
and I had a good look at the psu power receptable.

Please forget what I said in the earlier post.

It is actually a very wise choice if they use a IEC C20 receptable (which takes in a IEC C19 power cord),
just like they used with the M10S model.

C19 - C20 couple has a maximum current rating of 16 Amps (IEC standard, international).

Where as C13 - C14 is only 10 Amps.
