101  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Campaings already cutting rates on: November 13, 2015, 10:32:39 PM
I dont have any problem with Bit-x, these people play fair.

BTC went up 30% and payment was reduced 30%. USD vise, I make exactly the same.
And when BTC drops another 30% we will not see a rise of 30%.

The unfortunate or ironic thing is that the US (since we're talking about BTC in terms of USD), when the economy improves most people get to make more money via raises and bonuses. Now that's the evil economy so many people want Bitcoin to triumph over, yet in this example when the bitcoin economy improved a class of workers got pay cuts.

It's worse than a disparity in pay! I love capitalism. I understand why they're doing this. I wish more people were upset and could take action.
102  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Campaings already cutting rates on: November 13, 2015, 10:29:37 PM
Sad, sad to see. Some even attempted to get away with cutting rates during an ongoing term (Coinut). Pathetic behavior. That's just a direct fraud. When the price goes up, your Bitcoins go up as well, so you can pay people what you said you would paid. No excuses.

Also notice that when the price was lower, they took a ton of days before (sightly) raising the rates. Hell, I saw raises of like 0.0012 to 0.0014 when the price was crashing from 400 to 200, now Coinut and others have gone from 0.0015 to 0.0008.

Don't let these fuckers fuck around with your time and money. Fight for your rights, posters.

I completely agree with every word in this post. I remember campaigns paid 0.0015 when BTC price was more than 600$. What changed then and now? BTC price is 300-350$ range now and most campaigns decreased their rates. That's dumb. Accounts also worth much more back then, now you can make ROI in 2 weeks when you buy a Full Member account.
The best thing we can do is boycott those campaigns and find better ones. I always prefer fixed campaigns. At least they don't change rates in the middle of campaign. If they change it they deserve negative feedback.

Boycotting - a posting freeze - would work perfectly. BUT, the hard part is getting people to comply to it. You'd risk giving your spot up for some person just joining that wants in, but at least you'd have stuck to your principles! And of course all the vet bitcointalkers that hate the volume the signature campaigns bring would be thrilled!

You should give it a shot!
103  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Did Coinut lose big in the last BTC price run? on: November 13, 2015, 10:26:34 PM
I doubt the signature campaign has anything to do with them operating the site. They're always paying kind of delayed, at least since I'm in.

They always late to pay, but this time is longest than before.
wangxinxi dan izanagi haven't active since few days ago, this make me worry.

But, i'm sure they will pay us. They even attend Boost VC’s Tribe 6 too.
No way they want damage their reputation just because signature campaign problem.

I have contacted Wanxinxi about payment but I'm lack of response from him so I can't do nothing about payment  Sad

Izanagi, thanks for commenting here! Can you share what your usual process is with him? Is anything out of the ordinary at this point or is this the typical process for communications and response that you have with him?

Thanks.
104  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is there to get into now that mining is for the rich? on: November 13, 2015, 09:53:44 PM
ask yourself. what can you do in the real world to earn FIAT..

now put that same answer to bitcoin.

It's amazing how many times I have to tell people this same sentiment. Bitcoin is currency, that's it. Decide what you want to do first and then decide if you want to accept Bitcoin or Yen or Euro or Dollar for it.

What country are your operations based in?

Thanks.
106  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is there to get into now that mining is for the rich? on: November 13, 2015, 07:22:13 PM
I got into bitcoin with the thrill of mining, but now that the difficulty is through the roof (my btc turned scrypt rig would make about $0.34/day), what is there to get into? As the price sort of stagnated, I'm wondering if anyone has interesting ways of earning bitcoins, or anything that might bring my interest back into something I once thought was amazing but now don't seem to have the time for (which is not what I want for btc's future)

Working for as much money as your value commands and then using fiat to buy bitcoin. That's the best way to obtain Bitcoin. You could also try to sell goods or services on this Forum for bitcoin.

In the future (quite soon actually) there may be some legitimate BTC investment options. Right now you can buy penny stocks in BTC, but penny stocks can be risky.
107  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Highest paying signature campaign for full member? on: November 13, 2015, 04:19:35 PM
bit-x and magicdice around 0.5 per month, the other are all below

i hope for a better competition in the future, so many campaign will remove the limit and not just bit-x...
magicaldice pay rates for full member rank is 12 cents per post = 0.00036 btc
even if some one hit the maximum post per month with 400 post it is impossible to get 0.5 btc

Yeah, and Bit-X (if it were accepting Full Members) only pays BTC0.0004 per post and had a max of 150 posts per week, which would equal BTC0.06 per week (not even close to BTC0.5 per month).
108  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Campaings already cutting rates on: November 13, 2015, 04:16:14 PM
Back in the hayday of when PD signature campaign was still around senior members received .001BTC per post and Hero members received .0012BTC per post, and you were able to make up to 4.4BTC per month (all of this is IIRC).

The price was ~$500-$700 when PD closed. Around that same time, you could get a fixed rate deal earning .1BTC in exchange for 50 posts over a month.

Is this a typo? You were able to make 4.4BTC per MONTH? At the Senior Member rate you posted one would need to make 4,400 posts per month to make 4.4BTC. That's ~150 per day...surely someone would be banned even if they could make that many posts per day.
109  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will BTC reach $500 during november? on: November 13, 2015, 06:35:42 AM
Technical milestones are based on previous levels of resistance. We hit $500 and it dropped. Our next milestone is to break $500. After that, look back at the charts for the next highest peak (in the $600s somewhere), and so on.

The speculation and predictions gets really tough when we hit new all time highs...we have a ways to go though before we get north of $1000.
110  Economy / Economics / Re: How to save money. on: November 13, 2015, 06:24:16 AM
Eventhough there are lots of tips here about saving money, still if one doesn't know what he's up to then no savings will happen.

Isn't that the point of all the tips. If someone doesn't know what he's up to he can read this thread and get an idea how to save and keep saving and spend less, etc.
111  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] Casascius Coins (Bargain Priced) on: November 13, 2015, 06:20:39 AM
Great looking coins, great prices!

The silver is significantly more rare than the error coin - the silver had 25% of the mintage than the the first run error brass coins.

Good luck with your sale, i'll be watching!
112  Economy / Economics / Re: [POLL] Will 1 BTC reach 1M $ comparable value in 10 years? on: November 13, 2015, 06:06:21 AM
If fiat collapses, then for sure, btc will rise to its true value.

If fiat collapses the world will be in melt down mode and Bitcoin won't be an easy savior. Especially if we've lost the ability to access the internet (which is perfectly possible if the economy is breaking down).

ALso, if Bitcoin becomes the only monetary system imagine how all the people in power will want to control and manipulate and dominate the bitcoin world - it's already happening!
113  Economy / Economics / Re: Crazy Calculator - Shows true reality on: November 13, 2015, 05:52:47 AM
This is a pretty cool processing fee calculator that shows the true impact Bitcoin can have on the world economy. https://thecryptostore.com/index.php?id_cms=20&controller=cms

The calculator is wrong.

It doesn't show time so it's impossible to understand scale. In the 1 minute i let it run there were $1.9M feels from our traditional monetary system and $0 from bitcoin.  I think that's completely wrong. Bitcoin ISN'T free. I get charged from Bit-x and Coinbase and others to make transactions. So this either shows how infrequently bitcoin is used (because the number for fees still says $0) or the numbers are wrong.

Also, what does pencils donated to city schools (now at 10,000,000 after 5 minutes, wtf?!), bottles of water donated, and people who could have been  sheltered, and villages fed have to do with bitcoin fees.

Why is the average American salary $0.14?

Forget this site, it's bullshit!

It is per second. The donations show what those funds from processing fees could have been put towards if spent on charitable causes. And as stated in a previous post we are working on the Bitcoin calculations.

You should put a timer on the page so one know how much time has passed.

The charity count is cool, maybe you could add a label and the pencils number is weird. No one donates pencils...and it artificially makes that number super high because pencils are so cheap. Maybe make it relate to a charity that more people can relate to.

I'm surprised that your Bitcoin fees remain at zero. It's absolutely wrong. And at best it just shows how low and insignificant the bitcoin transaction volume is to the world's current economic system.

Thanks for clarifying. I take back the bullshit comment!
114  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Did you earn some bitcoin today? on: November 13, 2015, 05:49:08 AM
I earned around 0.001 from freebitco.in referral earnings today. Not that much but it's better than none.

ohh it's very good
anyway im forget if i have freebitco.in account
some month ago i have ~30 active reff and i get ~60.000-70.000 satosi / week

Thank's for make me remember it

How did you get 30 referrals? I must learn from you...care to share?

That's quite easy to achieve 30 referrals, a simple posting a referral link on a Facebook group about earning bitcoins will help. Making a rotator is also one good way to get referrals (for me the best way). There's also a blackhat method , which is email spamming(not recommended ofc)

What's a rotator and how do you make one?
115  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many coins are proved to be in possesion of governments? on: November 13, 2015, 05:44:38 AM
OP, Great question!

Any government would be a fool not to devote some resources (quietly) to Bitcoin, in the hopes that it earns them a profit. This would be especially true if the Government was able to obtain ownership for free.

I disagree with this comment below. Governments are very willing to confiscate all that is valuable, you better believe that if they've been able to legally confiscate bitcoin, they've done so and kept some.

I doubt the government cares about bitcoin right now on a higher level, only the cops who want to arrest people for this related to it.
116  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin movies on: November 13, 2015, 05:34:04 AM
Why is there a series of "Anyone know of Bitcoin movies" posts this week?

I made a thread about it and I've seen at least 3 other threads about it - in the last three days!

Now, if only I had the time to watch all these movies!
117  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Suggestions on how to sell coins here and get them graded on: November 13, 2015, 05:19:57 AM
Check the Goods section here. Lots of Casascius coin traders.

Grading is generally by ANACS out of the USA. ref http://www.anacs.com. Cost is about 20usd each plus shipping both ways.

Yeah, I've been through the Goods section but didn't want to post questions there.
I saw ANACS mentioned but isn't there something similar in Europe? Must be some kind of other grading companies.

Thanks for the reply,
IAS

There are other coin grading companies but most of them (if not all except ANACS) don't grad physical bitcoins. ANACS has been very open to doing this service. BUT, ANACS is also considered the 3rd best/reputable (of three major) coin grading companies in the US so it's likely that ANACS saw an opportunity to make some money and become a service provider to an area of the coin grading world that wasn't being serviced by anyone else.

They'll probably accept international orders - it'll just cost more.

Here's what I'd do, sell your coins without grading. Majority of existing, loaded Casascius coins have never been circulated. Most have just sat in a roll or in a case. The quality is nearly the same across all of these coins. Those that have their coins graded insist that it increases the value - it doesn't. I'd offer your coins for whatever you think their worth, take good pictures, and negotiate with all interested buyers.

Good luck.
118  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Did Coinut lose big in the last BTC price run? on: November 13, 2015, 04:52:05 AM
Is this associated with coinut's recent signature campaign payout drop as well? And I heard they refused to pay their members in the old rates although the members are more than halfway through the week wearing their signature.

Yes, some of the complaints I've read are related to that.

I just see a few different opportunities for them to minimize their costs by either lowering payments or not making payments at all...and it's all conveniently at the same time that they could have taken a huge hit on a bad bet with the rise and fall of the BTC price.

In options, what Coinut offers, they win when the price doesn't move. They lose, potentially alot, when the price does move.

I was hoping someone who uses Coinut may be able to share some thoughts...
119  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Did Coinut lose big in the last BTC price run? on: November 13, 2015, 04:40:45 AM
wangxinxi has been on and off the forum (Last Active: November 12, 2015, 11:28:04 AM) but I'm sure he knows whats the complaints of the site users and those he hired for to promote the site however, no word from him on what's the status.

EDIT: Is this suppose to be in the reputation section?

I've never heard of a reputation section, but this was not intended to be about reputation.

I hope it's only that Wangxinxi has been busy and away. I like their service a lot. It's very cool to have bitcoin options...I hope they aren't going anywhere!
120  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Highest paying signature campaign for full member? on: November 13, 2015, 04:38:15 AM
I think the highest is Bitmixer.io at the moment if you calculate on a weekly basis although I might be mistaken.

How do you calculate on a weekly basis, do you mean the most one can earn in a week?

Yeah, Bitmixer.io is great for Full Members (and looks like it has spots available) and the maximum is 50 posts per week to earn the BTC0.035.
