681  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How I can earn from the Signature campaign? on: August 27, 2015, 04:23:50 AM
hello every body !!!!! I'm also an newbie and I want to earn plz can anyone explain and help me to earn botcoin HuhHuh

Did you read the thread? Asking these questions when the answers are contained within this thread (and multiple times over due to people chasing their thread counts) is not setting you up well to being accepted by a signature campaign. You can't make meaningless comments like this, when the answers are directly in front of you and expect to get paid for it.

can my rank joined Signature campaign

And did you read the thread?

which signature does accept newbies?

Or did you?

Why don't you Newbie folks spend 10 minutes reading the thread you're posting on? Why don't you bother to check out the links that are provided by others in here (that were posted for YOUR benefit)?

I'll wait for an answer....
682  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We need more companies with original names. No more Bit-, -coin, or -pay. on: August 27, 2015, 03:58:52 AM
Yeah, like Mt. Gox! or Silk Road! Wait...they aren't around anymore are they?

Kidding, obviously a name doesn't correlate with business success (unless the name is personally offensive to many people).

Xapo is a cool name.

What others exist? Give it time and you'll see tones of creativity out there. Part of the draw to a bit- or a -coin name is that bitcoin is still so new, there needs to be some brand recognition for these new companies.

683  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: looking for newbie signature campain. on: August 27, 2015, 03:49:49 AM
Usually you should not think of joining a signature campaign until you are a Jr.Member , as the Payments are much Low and it can even lead you to bad habit of spamming from the beginning any ways choice is yours , answer to your question can be relinquished here  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=615953.0

Ahh, I disagree. Any bitcoin payment is worth it if one is really interested in earning some bitcoin. Even the small newbie payments can add up quite quickly and it only takes a few weeks to rank up to a Member status.

If you're committed to writing quality posts and want to earn bitcoin, go for it now and get into a signature campaign. Develop a reputation for being a quality poster and you'll never have trouble finding a spot on a campaign.

Example of what not to do: Posts #15, 16, and 17 on this thread are perfect examples of what not to do. These people didn't ready ANY of the comments, they just hit reply and and up repeating everything that's been said so far. The bad posts stick out so easily.

Cheers.

Q : what is the difference between normal post and constructive post(my english is bad and i cant understand what is the meaning of "constructive post")

There is no difference - a normal post, every post you make, should be a constructive post. It should provide information that other readers would find useful. It should answer specific questions. Or it should push the conversation forward.

Constructive posts are not: Repeating what someone says, acknowledge agreement (only) with someone else's comment (e.g., "This ^^^", "Great!", "+1", etc.), or initiating some line of thought that is not related to the original post.

Congrats on the new campaign (hope you make it in) and enjoy the bitcoin world!
685  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Top 10 Bitcoin "facts": #1 Satoshi passed majority control of BTC to Gavin on: August 26, 2015, 04:45:09 PM
I guess Gavin's the heir apparent?

Feel free to discuss...

The heir of what?
And according to who?

Because if it's Bitcoin we are talking about then I am sorry but you are wrong.
Bitcoin is decentralized and the whole "heir" thing you are refering to doesn't actually fit in.
Sorry.

I think you may have missed my sarcasm (which is easy to do through written word or poor writing on my part.)

The statement that Satoshi "gave control" to Gavin sounds ridiculous to me, but I'm not some Legendary member here and don't know all the history and I'm not in any conversations with core developers. So...maybe this did happen? Maybe Satoshi and Gavin are connected and at some point Satoshi said to Gavin "if this project needs adjustments, you take the lead."

Again...I find it hard to believe but I have no fact to support that it did or it didn't. The hilarity is that it's clearly not some wide known fact (if it did happen) and I doubt this Watch Mojo group on YouTube has any information that the community here does not. Which leads me to believe that their claim is bullshit.
686  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Top 10 Bitcoin "facts": #1 Satoshi passed majority control of BTC to Gavin on: August 26, 2015, 03:23:29 AM
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2UC_8NdR1To

If it's on the internet (and such an established library as YouTube) it must be true, right?

The Watch Mojo YouTube channel has a Top 10 Bitcoin Facts video...#1 is priceless.

Most of the list is legit but not incredibly interesting, a few highlights are:

  • #6 Mt. Gox was forced to file for bankruptcy - "Bitcoin is a currency that can lose up to 80% of its value in seconds" - so Mt. Gox was in very big trouble very quickly
  • #5 Banning the Bitcoin (cue China flag) - "Bitcoin is outlawed in many countries around world and is heavily frowned upon by many others", i'll give you a moment to finish laughing....done? They then go on to say that countries with tough restrictions at first have soften their view; "Even the US flexed its monetary muscle by shutting down a physical bitcoin production company in 2013 (Casascius?)
  • #3 Wikileaks - USES BITCOIN! (gasp), however there was no mention of all the very reputable, boring companies that also accept or use bitcoin
  • #2 Silk Road - it had to be on the list somewhere
  • #1 Satoshi Nakamoto (cue loads of video of the California guy that was wrongly accused of Satoshi) - "Nakamoto passed majority control to scientist Gavin Andresen in late 2010"; "It's rumored that Satoshi Nakamoto is a combination of SAmsung, TOSHIba, NAKAmichi, and MOTOrola, but it's not confirmed"

I guess Gavin's the heir apparent?

Feel free to discuss...

688  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to save Bitcoin on: August 25, 2015, 09:06:47 PM

Anyone who ever run a business or just has some life experience, knows: There Must Be Only One Boss. Many bosses - receipt for disaster.

You lost me when you implied that you prefer dictatorship over democracy.

I think you're involved in the wrong Project. The You'll-Do-What-We-Tell-You Project is three forums down.

Your rhetoric here directly contradicts what BlockChain says it's trying to do: "Sidechains are blockchains that are interoperable with each other and with Bitcoin, avoiding liquidity shortages, market fluctuations, fragmentation, security breaches and outright fraud associated with alternative crypto-currencies." Providing alternatives. You're against alternatives, you're for "one boss"...that boss is THE Blockchain in this case...

You're a joke, man. You insult us trying to make some grand statement about Bitcoin, that's really a thinly veiled sales pitch for Blockstream.

Don't be such a puss about it...if you want to sell us close us. If you're going to bullshit us you can leave.
689  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Did you earn some bitcoin today? on: August 25, 2015, 08:59:46 PM
Yes, by selling some bitcoins at $240 and buying back in at $223 Smiley

Nice

It looks like MIT is conducting a similar course!

If Ivy League schools start offering education on the topic, this will be a boon for widespread adoption and it's coming from very intelligent places!

no how the best way to earn bitcoin. anyone can help me

Sponz, welcome to the forum. You'll find that here is a lot of information here, particularly in archived/old threads and posts. There's a search box at the top right corner of the screen that you can use to search for topics of interest using keywords.

I conducted a search with the keyword "earning" and received several threads that may be useful for you.

Earned another 2000 bits for referring a user in an exchange wallet. Will just keep promoting my thread in a local forum.

SO that's 200,000 satoshi or BTC0.002, yes?
692  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Its time for the campaign runners to raise your pathetic rates on: August 25, 2015, 06:38:14 PM
The campaign runners have been getting away with lowering the rates WHILE the price of BTC has been on a downtrend since forever.
I think it's safe to say they should be raising their rates. The campaigns paying 0.010 per post or something like that, should raise to a decent 0.013 like DaDice did. The price is only getting LOWER so this is nothing but a scam at this point. Remember that things don't change as long as you keep accepting low payments, the business rulers will be happy to keep rates as low as possible without people complaining.

Are you a Socialist? This is a free market, if you don't like the pay don't provide the service!

Note: If bitcoin drops constantly below $200 I think would be a time to re-evaluate the rates.

Why should rates be based on fiat values? These aren't companies that deal in fiat (except the exchanges), they ONLY deal in Bitcoin. All that matters is Bitcoin!

Annnd to sub 200 we go. No excuses now, time to raise those rates. Im afraid we will keep going down for a long time. We are under WORLDWIDE PANIC right now, everything is fucking plummeting. Lets try to help people here getting some cheap Bitcoins during this period of time, who knows, maybe lives are being saved in the future. Maybe after the halving we will never see prices this low again, it's time to collect and to compensate people here for supporting Bitcoin even during the hardest times.

I think the only one panicking is you. The smart money is buying into these declines in the stock markets and the bitcoin market...do you believe that the world's businesses are going to stop? If so, panic. If not, don't be sore and buy some more.

Increasing the rates probably means less qualitative posts and more spamming in general to earn as much money as possible Smiley

I'm not so sure about this. People aren't going to make less constructive posts just because they're getting paid more. What drives post quality is disqualifying bad posts. And from the advertisers perspective, there's no difference between the ad on a good post vs. the ad on a bad post.

693  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who thinks Gavin Anderson knows who Satoshi is? on: August 25, 2015, 06:31:04 PM
by the way: who the hell is Gavin AndersonCheesy

Hahaha, great call. The answer should be a unanimous NO...because no one knows who Gavin Anderson is!
694  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The tide is turning: Which one is the alt coin now? on: August 25, 2015, 06:29:25 PM
XT is not an alt coin...it's just a new system. I don't know why Theymos or anyone else considers this an alt coin. It sounds like a passive aggressive attempt to minimize conversation about XT on the main Bitcoin forum but the bitcoin that uses core will be the same bitcoin that uses XT. From the perspective of the coin or the currency, it's the same.

Also Sprach Zarathustra, great name, really great name!
695  Economy / Economics / We need a good story of BTC being an investment haven on: August 25, 2015, 05:10:33 PM
We need a good story of BTC being an investment haven when the sky is falling elsewhere.

Here's a story of a guy that made a bit of money on the US stock market drop, buying at at the lows (http://money.cnn.com/2015/08/24/investing/stock-market-selloff-i-made-money/index.html?iid=surge-grid-dom)

It would be great to have a similar story of how someone saw the market crashing and went to Bitcoin for a safe alternative.

The problem we're seeing this time around is that the bitcoin price has shadowed the stock market valuation...this isn't good. There needs to be a separation, a non-correlated relationship, but I think investor psychology needs to change for this to happen.

What do you think?
696  Economy / Economics / Re: A good day to buy hard? on: August 25, 2015, 07:24:58 AM
Now that the price slowly but surely approaches $200 mark, many peeps are getting ready to open their purses and shell out big time. Okay, but I have a feeling that the price will crash to 150-160$ just after it touches that number...

Pigs get fat, hogs get slaughtered... Are you really a buy-hard?

Nah man, bulls make money, bears make money, but pigs get slaughtered!

It did touch $200 and bounced back, maybe if it drops below it there will be some downward pressure, but honestly, I think $200 is the floor. There would need to be some seriously negative news to push things lower.
697  Economy / Economics / Re: Low BTC price is good for Bitcoins at the moment. on: August 25, 2015, 06:54:56 AM
believe or not, but if somebody was interested at 1200 and "missed the boat", he bought as much as he was able at 500-600 range and didn't wait until now.

Maybe but they've had another year to save money to drop into $200 Bitcoin...do you realize how little it takes to get that cost average down?

Let's say someone buys 2 bitcoin at $1000, then 2 more at $500, their average cost is $750. Buying 2 more bitcoin at $200 brings the average cost down to $566, but buying  5 more (another $1000 from the original $3000) brings their average cost down to $444! They're nearly back in the game.

If anyone bought at $1000 levels, now is the time to double down...

699  Other / Politics & Society / Re: CEO who raised workers’ minimum pay to $70K hits predictable problems on: August 25, 2015, 06:04:07 AM
Interesting to watch this evolve, figured there would be issues but did not expect so many from within. Sure did not take long to start eating itself.
I was shocked to see how fast that experiment collapsed. Indeed.

Or enter the Government to save everyone from the trouble they're having from all this equal pay without equal merit. Just a theory. BUT, it's interesting to see how these business decisions play out. Like the raise in minimum wage in Seattle.

Only time will tell if these moves bring more prosperity or just raise the bar at which we declare poverty.

There's no substitute for having sound skills that someone is willing to pay for...and sometimes always skills need to change match what the market needs.
700  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling on: August 25, 2015, 05:01:44 AM
By dice do you mean bitcoin dice games (which aren't dice but just have dice graphics) or do you mean craps (which is a real dice game)?

Craps is by far the best game out there!

And the best part is that craps have the lowest house edge (0.60% according to this source) -> http://www.fastodds.com/game_odds/
I would say craps is more of a table top game, and with dice games (high/low), the house edge can be adjusted to anything. 1% is just a standard the market has settled on as what is generally accepted by the players. i believe there is a dice site with a 0.1% house edge or something right now as well.

Yeah I agree with you, with hi/low you can really control the house edge (and the corresponding reward), which is different from any casino game.

But it's not really dice. It's just a number selection. I used to play hi/low with my family and it involved a deck of cards. In fact, aren't the hi/low dice games (for bitcoin) not even based off the numbers on dice? It's not run off 1-6 (or 1-12 with two dice), right?

Probably sports betting, as sports betting is more about odds, and not about pure luck like dice.

Sports betting is great - which sports do you wager on?

i voted for "Other" as i want Plinko and sportsbetting, im in profit there for both Smiley

And the winner with Plinko, NICE!
