1001  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum in 5 years on: July 24, 2018, 06:51:48 PM
Seems like everyone is still bullish on Eth, with the constant predictions of very high valuations as always perpetually "just around the corner", lol.

The current price reflects the current market worth. Those of you banking on 1500% returns from where we are now within 5 years are likely to be disappointed.

The convention saw flat-Earthers, skeptics, and the flat Earth-curious gather in the city of Birmingham, U.K. At the event, conference speaker Darren Nesbit sought to address one of the most obvious problems with flat Earth claims—why people don’t just fall off the edge of the planet if they travel too far in one direction.

“We know that continuous east-west travel is a reality,” he said, according to the Telegraph. “No one has ever come to, or crossed a physical boundary.”

The best explanation isn't a curved, globe-shaped Earth, Nesbit thinks. Instead, it could be something more like teleportation. Yes, you read that right. Teleportation.

Like Pac-Man himself, who reappears on one side of the game screen having exited on the other, objects would be transported from one edge of the flat Earth to the opposite edge. Describing this as a “logical possibility” for “truly free thinkers,” Nesbit explained, “Space-time wraps around and we get a Pac-Man effect.”

This theory states that the Earth is flat, and we are able to travel 'around' it in the same way that Pacman moves instantly from the top to the bottom of the screen, or from one side to the other. In the Pacman game, this is achieved by using a hypothetical higher dimension, in this case the third dimension.

As it happens, this has been well studied in the field of mathematics known as topology. Topologists even have a name for this higher dimensional topology, which shows that the flat earthers are close to exposing the truth.

The name of the topology?

It's called a sphere.

Everything develops from simple to complex. However, our brain has huge potential, which we use at 5-7%. The theory of evolution can not explain this.

The brain gets fully used, the 10% thing is a myth.

One year after the ICO and still no product. No updates on Twitter. No new news from the team. No centralized exchange and no decentralized exchange. What a total ripoff this project has turned out to be. Maybe it didn't start out to be a scam, but a scam it what it looks like this has become. To quote the great Carlos Matos, "That's a scam!"

True. Expect TSWR to log in and start raging and saying that you are an idiot Grin Grin Grin

How do you scam someone when the funds are with 3 reputable escrows? Please explain it step by step.

Exactly.

This is the greatest interview with a "flat earther", HE COVERS EVERYTHING...you won't be disappointed.

If you cannot afford ticket from Argentina to New Zealand, try Ecuador.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6mRQBUyVnWo

The above simple demonstration (around 0:49) at the equator will show you that we are on a spinning ball.

It will cure your paranoia.

lol that is one of the oldest charlatan tricks in existence and shows your true foul character.

To everyone for free instant self test.
Take a bucket fill it with water.
Plug the sinkhole.
Fill the sink so it spins either clockwise or anticlockwise.
Wait until the water is quiet.
Now pull the plug.
It drains the direction you entered it.

Now do the same in the opposite direction.
And again it will drain the way you filled it.

Water has memory.

LOL, water does not have memory. But you are right that video shows a charlatan trick based on a popular misconception about the Coriolis force. Coriolis force does play a part in cyclone spin direction but a cyclone is more than 1000 kilometers in diameter and may exist for several days. By contrast, a typical sink is less than a meter in diameter and drains in a matter of seconds. On this scale, the Coriolis force is miniscule. Therefore, the shape of the sink and how level it is has more to do with the direction of water flow than the Coriolis force.

Lol  Cheesy things is long time proven by so many scientist and other historical person but still theres someone or a group of stupid people who want attention saying that earth is flat? they should wake up in their dreams right now and face reality..
Thats the problem, you place your faith in science like a religion. You think that because people who are smarter than you came up with some theories, gravity or the big bang for example, that these are proven facts when in fact they are not.

The faith in the scientific method is justified as it is based completely on obervation and experiment. It is not a religious faith that requires blind faith in the supernatural. Anyone can repeat the document experiments, observations, and logic that comprises any scientific theory. Science as an institution bends over backwards to prove itself wrong time and time again as it gets to the truth. Religion does the opposite, ignores anything that challenges its preconceived set in stone world views. Science is absolutely not a religion and deference to authority in science is a completely different mindset than deference to authority in religion.

Why there are still monkeys around if they were part of our evolutionary beginnings ?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cz0gFarCfBE
Science is a religion.

Evolution = Unproven
Gravity = Unproven
Big Bang Theory = Unproven

While these theories remain unproven to this day, many people regard them as facts because their scientists and their governments told them that they are.

Science is absolutely not a religion. It has nothing to do with the supernatural in any form. Any deference to authority in science discussions is because that authority has done the work to prove their assertions and that work can be followed by anyone with sufficient will to the source, e.g. do the experiments themselves. Religion's deference to authority hits a brick wall at the point anyone asks "why" or "how". Most religious adherents can't even explain why they believe the way they do except with a "just because" or "that's how I was raised", there is no fundamental rationalism built into religion like there is with science. There are many scientists who are deeply religious but science as a group is absolutely not religious in any sense of the word.

The act of the hodl is actually the result of no action at all. To hodl one must not do something

I read that once in the Tao te Hodl.

Back to zombie status?

Any new code updates, exchanges, services?

As soon as the giant wall at 0.00000076 is chewed through there will be some excitement I bet.
1014  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Evolution is a hoax on: February 23, 2018, 04:40:51 PM
You are confusing the process of evolution with a comic book.

Let me know when you figure out how to accelerate the natural mutagenic rate "thousands and thousands" of times.

Despite hopes that the processes of molecular evolution would be simple, clock-like and essentially universal, variation in the rate of molecular evolution is manifest at all levels of biological organization. Furthermore, it has become clear that rate variation has a systematic component: rate of molecular evolution can vary consistently with species body size, population dynamics, lifestyle and location. This suggests that the rate of molecular evolution should be considered part of life-history variation between species, which must be taken into account when interpreting DNA sequence differences between lineages.

1017  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IF the United States were to put regulations on cryptos, what do you think ? on: February 05, 2018, 03:56:49 PM
what do you think they would be? Certainly they would not try and do an all out ban right? I mean with banks using Ripple and Bitcoin in Wallstreet futures. Thanks for any feedback.
Thats a big question, because trump is a business minded person which can give us advantage. He might be a good president but he is a good business man which he knows which assets would give riches to the citizens of america.

I'd be willing to bet a nice chunk of btc that Trump doesn't even know the difference between cryptocurrency and his own ass.

1019  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IF the United States were to put regulations on cryptos, what do you think ? on: February 05, 2018, 02:48:55 PM
I think that any regulations will be connected with tax policy.  Government wants to have a piece of crypto pie and taxes is the obvious way to have it.

My thoughts as well. Regulation will be less for protection of the consumer (though that will be a part of it, and that part will be most loudly trumpeted) than it will be for tax revenue generation.
1020  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Buy when there is blood in the streets on: February 05, 2018, 02:46:05 PM
Sure, but what constitutes blood on the streets? Even with a bear market pullback the crypto market is still massively up compared to last year.
