1001  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ZET] Zetacoin - SHA256 coin - Quick confirmations on: March 05, 2014, 12:36:41 AM
do you guys think that it will hit $1-$2?

Have you thought that litecoin worth 10 cents 1.5 year ago will be trade for 20 bucks today?
Considering that still 99% of humanity doesn't know what bitcoin is and how to buy it, we can expect next waves of newcomers that will be amazed by cryptoworld and due to 'high' bitcoin price, alts would look cheap for them. Sure we have more and more alts, so good investor should diversify wallet into many alts not one or two.
If you mean $1 or $2 dollars, yes it is possible. If you mean the price due to bitcoin (ZET/BTC) I think it will rise but not so much. Bitcoin itself most probably will explode and this will be the most important factor that will influence the price of ZET.

so i should hang on to my coins, i was mining zet from day one and kept buying and i didnt sell i am sitting on a nice stash of zet Smiley  if it gets to $2 i will be loaded

every time i check the debug window the block numbers are not matching and it seems like the wallet is out of sync

when i restart it, it downloads the remaining blocks it seems like the wallet is not keeping up with the blocks
1007  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] TEKcoin Fast,Fair with high interest payments on: March 01, 2014, 01:34:50 AM
wallet link is not working?
1008  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] TEKcoin Scarce fast and fair sha-256 on: March 01, 2014, 01:18:12 AM
3. walletpassphrase pwd 9999999 true (in case wallet is encrypted and locked).

Huh

I'll respond to myself since no one else seems to care or know. PoS works, got 2 blocks overnight each returning over 40% coins, FTW!

hers some visual evidence of the 40% stake after 30 days

This is awesome

In case nobody has realized? You can BUY battlecoin really cheap on CRYPTSY right now much cheaper then mining it.Somebody wants to DUMP so they can buy back coins cheap! Their literally giving their coins away@.00001408 Grin Buy the DUMP much better deal then mining unfortunately ATM Wink
Yes, I see that! I picked a bunch more up myself as i only own 30GH of SHA-256 power so mining them is hard for me right now too.
Someone keeps selling into my buy wall as soon as I put one up. This price will definitely go up when we start providing the service. Right now people buying on speculation should be able to pick them up cheap.. once the service starts rolling you wont be able to get them this cheap because they will only be mining 50 a block.

Good Luck
Jack

i am staying with a friend and i can't mine till i get my own place
feel free guys to share the wealth B4ZyoaTbstZjr3Kag3taNT5SYxKMZXaAfs

1013  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: HoboNickels - HBN - 2% stake power! - Version 1.3 on: February 17, 2014, 02:13:05 AM
in a month or 2 i might need to sell some of my stake coin and have you guys walk me thru it so i don't mess with the blocks lol

and i will give some bounty and i am happy that this coin is moving up in price my stake now is make good money

I added a tutorial section to the coin control wiki article. Review it and see if it makes sense. I hope to get some pictures posted to the tutorial section as well.  Also it might be a good idea to send a few small transactions to a test wallet. Maybe 5 different 1 hbn transactions.  Test the coin control features out and see if you understand the concepts.  That is what I did and it really helped.

Thanks for the tutorial

what if i want to send say 3000 hbn i have to select blocks that totals 3000?

cant it be done automatically by having the wallet select the appropriate blocks?

It automatically sends the blocks that have the lowest amount of confirmations. Since you probably won't have exactly 3,000 in blocks it will also split a block.

so next time whenever i want to send a payment just enter the amount that i want to send and thats it? and do not mess with coin control but have it enabled meaning not to check and blocks?

we need tutorials lol after what i did today i will lose some stake for 10 days now

do you enter the address where to send the coins on the coin control thing or in the bottom one? and i also clicked on input and selected my entire block

do you select any or let it unchecked and it will send from the low priority coins by itself?

Ok I just did it. Select the block you want to send.  Do not fill out the custom change address. Copy and Past the "After Fee" amount into the amount field at the bottom.  That will take the fee out of the block you send so that the other blocks are not disturbed.  The "Change" field should be 0.00 if you have done this correctly.

i have no idea but it sent the amount that i wanted to send it wasnt short any fees

So hopefully what happened is that you sent the block, and it took the .001 transaction fee out of the block being sent.  To make sure your other blocks are still aging, you can get into the "inputs" area. Expand the arrow and you will see all of your blocks and their number of confirmations.  Hopefully none of your blocks were reset from a fee being taken out of it, and you would know if it was reset because the confirmations would be low.

To avoid these types of scenarios, I keep a wallet for transactions and a wallet for staking coins.

now it is showing my entire balance as one block
now for next time do i need to go to input and check the blocks or leave it unchecked and it will do it automatically?

i also have around 40k hbn do i need to split them in small amount to stake or will it stake at 40k?

It will stake at 40k.  I will do some testing with coin control and give you an exact answer on how to send a block without taking the fee from your other blocks. I was under the impression that if you use the amount after fee number as your send amount, then .001 will be left in the wallet and that .001 will be used for the fee rather than the wallet taking from your other blocks.

if i want to send coins from my wallet i have enabled to the coin control

does it do it automatically by sending low age coins first? or do i need to select them manually?

The wallet should select the coins with the lowest coin age automatically, but if you send more (and remember the fee) then it will eat into other blocks. If you go to send-->inputs-->then select the block it will tell you the exact amount to enter to send with fees included.

i selected my entire block and i entered the amount that i want to send and it told me how much with the fees but i didnt change it

but it sent it and took the fees out

It took the fees out of the block that you were sending, or out of other blocks that you were staking?

i have no idea but it sent the amount that i wanted to send it wasnt short any fees
