I'll respond to myself since no one else seems to care or know. PoS works, got 2 blocks overnight each returning over 40% coins, FTW!

hers some visual evidence of the 40% stake after 30 days

Well, not a whole lot of TEK left for sale on Cryptsy...

Sky's the limit, loving the slow, constant climb!!!

It took me weeks to get half that much. Patience. TEK is currently worth the wait.
But we need to start spreading the word. It has to become useful as a currency/investment to a larger community.
Because if it isn't useful - then those of us holding TEK won't be able to get rid of it.

Thundertoe -

I don't know if you have a list of things that you'd like to see in TEK...but looking at other coins, may I suggest 2:
- coin control - this will help reduce dust and allow us to stake effectively
- multiple wallet loading - like HBN this will allow us to stake in one and transfer stake to the other

I'd also suggest a donation/development fund. Since this was a fair launch, you could use the donations to help you recoup costs.

+1. Also we need a better looking wallet. Perhaps a different logo.

BIG dump of TEK today...
This is why the coin needs more exposure. To stop from shocks like this.

SuperStake eligible in 30 days 40%+/-

40% +/- what exactly? The way it is written one could asume he might actualy lose up to 40% coins upon generating PoS block! Another
thing not mentioned anywhere is how PoS mining works, is it different than PPC or all it takes is:

1. have unspent inputs (coins) older then 30 days

2. tekcoin.conf
Code:
server=1
rpcuser=someusername
rpcpassword=somepassword

3. walletpassphrase pwd 9999999 true (in case wallet is encrypted and locked).

Huh

Block explorer is down, any replacement?

I cared! Good to know, hanging onto a bunch of these for a while wondering...
painful to hold, but the 40% POS is attractive.

paying 40% after 30 days(it can take longer). the most i have waited over for tek to stake so far is about 33 days

It can take longer, recently it took like 38 days for my wallet to mine PoS block e.g. unspent input was 38 days old. But it seems % gained will take
into consideration number of days passed so (presumably) if PoS block is mined 60 days later user gets not 40% but 80% coins. If cap is 90 days
like with PPC that would mean any PoS block mined 90+ days later returns around 120% coins. If you are 1 year late, you get around 120% coins,
no more, right? It is a nice incentive to have your local wallet running and thus help network.

Anyway, if I type getdifficulty it shows the following:

16:57:29
getdifficulty

16:57:29
{
"proof-of-work" : 48186.93773140,
"proof-of-stake" : 0.00390625,
"search-interval" : 1
}

What exactly is search-interval? 1 second between attempts to mine PoS block?

BIG dump of TEK today...
This is why the coin needs more exposure. To stop from shocks like this.

Dumps totally welcomed otherwise there is no way to get cheap TEK anymore. If dumper can fill buy orders at 0.00015 or lower that would be great!

Just do it!  Grin

theres nothing here. message me if you want to put something here.

I understand wanting to buy TEK - but what is ~40% a month return worth to you? If it isn't worth something, then when you sell it don't expect it to be worth anything either.

As the community we want the price to rise - don't we? How about let's toss around some ideas for promotion? What are other coins doing to add value - besides having scores of raving fanboys?

Should I take my investing thread to reddit as well?
