Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

This is really great news from Giskard.

Zetacoin supports checkpointing, did not know that...
Well, a new Checkpoint

We now need a Wallet update. right?

Can you inform us about it Giskard? Do you compile it?

btw. will you join us at zetacoin.cc and nobs.is in the ZBAD305 group??

greets

So does this checkpoint mean that the sync of a new wallet is shorter now? If so where is the new wallet.

Thanks Giskard

Hammo

it means, that the System accepts the ZET transactions as irreversible before the checkpoint.
So a 51% attack can not harm the transactions before the Checkpoint.

Checkpointing is for the security of the Network.

But this holds only when you use wallet recompiled with latest sources. Official download is old compilation from last year, or I've missed something?

I've found miners are more receptive towards a coin if you pre release the wallet as a passworded zip. Just a thought.

No, no you have not missed it. It needs to be compiled. I think Giskard is going to do it in the near future.

Crap don't loose your zetacoin, we probbaly don't have enough already. Yeah sure 160 million seems like alot but have a look through the thread about people buying in 100K lots. Yes, thats only 1600 peeps with 100K bags. Now take away the lost coins and we know that there are others holding more than 100K and this coin starts to look scarce.

This coin is way to cheap and it'll be hard to grab 100K at the current price because no one is selling those volumes. Infrastructure is coming, demand is coming. Please do not lose your coins as there is only approx 1 mill per year coming from now on.

Hello Troopers  Smiley

Yes, prices are going down. That however is due to MtGox and the general state of the Altcoin market. A coin that was always on our side on coinmarketcap.com was Digitalcoin, and it still is.  (just for reference)
I know the Coin is doing bad lately, but you also need to look at Megacoin, Quarkcoin or Novacoin. We as a Community are still strong, and the projects we are on are still being worked on - No need for panic, no need for hesitation.

Let's see what this Altcoinmarket brings

We are present at the Texas Bitcoin Conference on Thursday which gives Zetacoin a bit of promotion in the scene. (Pictures and probably Videos will follow)
Our Wallet App is still on and we are close, we get a new Zetachain with features such as (top 100 richest Addresses) and a real paper wallet option.
And as you Zetatroopers know there is much more! ... ATMs, ZET Processor, New Game; (And this is still not all that is being worked on)

btw, follow me on Twitter https://twitter.com/The____Shadow We need to hold tight, we need to hold together and we can do this!

We don't have secrets, work with us - go to nobs.is and visit the ZBAD305 group if you want to contribute in Design, Programming or just supporting the community by giving advice or opinion. (The registration process can take a while since we experience much spam lately, If it takes too much time - contact us)

Oh I almost forgot, visit Zetspin.cc neat game.
Also for some of you who don't know cryptr.ch is working closely together with ZBAD305 to get Zetacoin there where we want it to be.
